Assembly
1. Unpack the grill and other necessary parts from the box.
2. Remove any unwanted packaging materials such as cardboard, plastics or
styrofoam.
3. Wipe clean all the parts with a soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. DO NOT IMMERSE THE GRILL PLATE OR THE
TEMPERATURE PROBE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
4. Place the base on a heat resistant flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated area.
5. Place the drip tray into the base on the side with the bigger opening.
6. Place the grill on the base by putting the temperature control receptacle into
the smaller notch end of the base first, then placing the other side down into
the correct position.
7. Make sure the temperature probe is turned off and insert it into the
receptacle with the power knob facing up.
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE
DO NOT IMMERSE THE GRILL PLATE OR THE TEMPERATURE PROBE INTO
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID AT ANY TIME

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed.

1. Read all instructions before use.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse grill, probe, power cord or
plug in water or any other liquid. This is an electrical appliance. To avoid the
risk of electrical shock or serious personal injury, always operate with dry
hands.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near
children. This grill is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the grill by a person responsible for their safety.
4. Do not use the grill outdoors or while standing in a damp area. It is for
household use only. Do not use grill for other than intended use.
5. Do not use the grill with a damaged cord or outlet plug. Do not use the grill if
it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water. Return the
grill to the service center for examination, repair or refund or contact
customer service.
6. Do not attempt to change accessories while the grill is on.
7. Do not handle the plug or the grill with wet hands.
8. Use the grill only as described in this manual. The use of accessory
attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause damage to
the grill or personal injuries.
9. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings
and moving parts.
10. Always attach the temperature probe to the grill before plugging cord into the
wall outlet.
11. Do not move the grill while in use.
12. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs when available.

13. Always clean the grill after each use. Never use abrasive cleaning products,
oven cleaners or scrubbing pads to clean the grill. The non-stick coating can
become damaged.
14. Do not clean the grill with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off from the
pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electrical shock.
15. Caution should be taken when handling this grill during and immediately after
cooking. Do not leave the grill unattended while in use.
16. When in use, keep the grill a minimum of 10-12 inches away from walls and
do not use under any overhang such as a cupboard. Place on a stable,
horizontal, heat resistant surface in a well-ventilated area.
17. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
18. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other hot liquids.
19. To disconnect, always turn to OFF first, then remove the plug from the wall
outlet. Never leave the grill connected to the power outlet when not in use or
when cleaning.
20. Do not abuse the power cord. Never pull the power cord to disconnect the
outlet plug from an outlet; instead, grasp the outlet plug and pull to
disconnect.
21. Allow grill to cool before putting in or taking out parts and before cleaning.
22. Do not let cord hang over edge of counter or touch hot surfaces.
23. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
24. Do not pour any liquids onto the grilling plate, as this could cause a fire.
25. Do not place cooking utensils on the grilling plate when it is hot, during
cooking, keeping warm or reheating.
26. Use only suitable utensils for non-stick surfaces to avoid scratching the
surface.
27. Do not cover any part of the grill with aluminum foil. This will cause the
appliance to overheat.
28. Do not place food directly on the heating element. Always make sure the
appliance is fully assembled prior to use.
29. Never use the appliance without the grill plate and drip tray in place. Always
fully assemble the appliance prior to plugging into the power outlet and
switching it on.
30. Do not use the appliance if the grilling plate or drip tray is warped or
deformed in any way.

WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings,
cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all
possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the
operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this
product but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords
are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also, the
cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W.,
and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
Polarized plug
NOTE: This grill has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
•As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit
in a polarized outlet only one way.
•If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
•If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
Electric power
If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliances may not
operate properly. The appliances should be operated on a separate electrical circuit
from other operating appliances.
Safety warning
Although your grill is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below must be
followed:
1. Do not place the grill near a heat source.
2. Do not unplug by pulling on the power supply cord.
3. The grill must be unplugged:
A. Before any cleaning or maintenance.
B. If it appears to be faulty.

CAUTION: Use caution when cooking. Hot oil, grease or juices may splatter when
grilling. Do not touch any hot surfaces. Do not attempt to cut food on the grill
during the cooking process.
NOTE: During the first use, the grill may emit a slight odor and you may see
some smoke coming off of the grilling plate. This is normal and due to the
newness of the product. The odor and smoke will dissipate with use.
1. Place the grill on a flat, stable, heat resistance surface. Make sure the grill is
clean, dry, assembled and in a well-ventilated area.
2. Make sure the temperature probe is turned off and insert it into the
receptacle with the power knob facing up.
3. Adjust the temperature probe to the desired temperature.
LOW = 120°F –230°F
MED = 210°F –330°F
HIGH = 350°F –460°F
NOTE: The power indicator light is also the temperature indicator for the grill.
The probe light does turn on and off to help keep the grill at the correct
temperature.
4. For best results, preheat the grill for approximately 5 minutes.
5. When in use, keep the grill a minimum of 10-12 inches away from walls and
do not use under any overhang such as a cupboard.
6. Place food directly on the grill. Cook food to desired doneness.
7. Do not overload the grill surface.
8. Do not move the grill while in use.
9. When cooking is finished, turn the temperature control knob to OFF and
remove the plug from the wall outlet.
10. IMPORTANT: Wait until the grill has cooled down completely before removing
the temperature probe or attempting to clean the unit.
11. CAUTION: Do not touch any hot surfaces after cooking as it will remain hot
while it’s cooling down. Wait until completely cooled.
ALWAYS make sure that the unit is set to the OFF position when not in use and
when unplugging from the power outlet.

Cooking tips
•For best results, always preheat the grill for approximately 5 minutes to make
sure the grill is hot. This will help to seal in all of the natural juices
•If using bamboo or wooden skewers, soak skewers in water at least 30
minutes before use to prevent burning.
•Use only nylon, plastic, or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick
surface. Never cut food on the non-stick surface.
•Cut food into small and equal pieces to ensure more even cooking.
•Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
•If you grill vegetables, fish, or lean meat, spray the grilling surface with a
cooking spray. If you are grilling meat with any amount of fat, or if the food
has been marinated, there is no need to treat the grill prior to cooking.
•If using a marinade with oil, place grill near an exhaust hood. Oil or fat may
produce smoke.
Use the following table for reference only when using the grill. Refer to user
instructions for LOW, MED and HIGH temperatures.

Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the grill is turned off, unplugged, and completely cooled
before cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE THE GRILL
PLATE OR TEMPERATURE PROBE in water or any other liquid.
It is important to clean your grill thoroughly after each use to prevent sticky build
ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the grill can lead to clean,
better tasting food and extend the life of the grill.
ALWAYS ALLOW THE GRILL AND PARTS TO COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE
CLEANING. Remove the temperature probe before cleaning.
1. Turn the temperature probe to the off position. Make sure the power cord is
unplugged. Let the unit cool completely.
2. Remove the temperature probe plug from the unit. DO NOT put in the
dishwasher. Wipe clean with soft cloth, if needed.
3. Use paper towels to wipe off any excess grease or residue left on the grill
plate. You may use wooden or plastic spatula to scrape off any remaining food
residue.
4. Lift and remove the grill plate from the base. Hold the grill plate up at an
angle, keeping the side with plug away from the water.
5. For best cleaning results, wipe the surface clean under warm running water
with soft cloth. Make sure to keep the side with plug dry. NEVER immerse the
grill plate in water. Do not place in dishwasher.
6. Lift up and empty the drip tray. Wipe the extra grease with paper towels.
Wash the drip tray in warm, soapy water or it may also be placed in the
dishwasher.
7. Use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe the base if needed. DO NOT put it in the
dishwasher.
8. Make sure the grill plate, drip tray and base are completely dry before next
use or before storing.
9. Do not plug the power cord into the wall outlet if the grill is still wet.
10. Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the grill.

1. Desempaquete la parrilla y las otras partes necesarias de la caja
2. Deshágase de los materiales de embalaje no deseados como cartones,
plásticos o poliestireno.
3. Limpie todas las piezas desmontables con un trapo suave o esponja

4. Coloque la base sobre una superficie resistente al calor en un área bien

5. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en la base por el lado con la abertura mayor.
6. Coloque la parrilla en la base poniendo primero el receptáculo de control de
temperatura en la muesca más pequeña de la base, luego colocando el otro
lado hacia abajo en la posición correcta.
7. Asegúrese de que la sonda de temperatura está en la posición de apagado
(OFF) e insértela en el receptáculo con la perilla de encendido hacia arriba.

2. Para protegerse contra una descarga eléctrica, no sumerja la parrilla, la sonda,

situaciones posibles que podrían suceder. El operador debe entender que el sentido
común y la precaución son factores que no se pueden incluir en el producto, sino que
los debe aportar el operador mismo.
PRECAUCIÓN: Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de

disponibles cables de extensión en las ferreterías locales y estos se pueden utilizar si

Enchufe polarizado
NOTA: Esta parrilla posee un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más ancha que la
otra).
•Como medida de seguridad para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este
enchufe está diseñado para entrar en un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo
sentido.
•Si el enchufe no entra completamente en el tomacorriente, gire el enchufe.
•Si el enchufe aún no encaja, comuníquese con un electricista calificado. No
intente eliminar esta característica de seguridad.
Alimentación eléctrica
Si el circuito eléctrico está sobrecargado con otros electrodomésticos, estos podrían

PRECAUCIÓN: Preste atención cuando esté cocinando. Los aceites, grasas o jugos
podrían salpicar cuando está asando. No toque las superficies calientes. NO intente
cortar los alimentos dentro de la parrilla durante la cocción.
NOTA: Durante el primer uso, la parrilla puede emitir un ligero olor y un poco de
humo proveniente de la plancha de la parrilla. Esto es normal y se debe a que es un
producto nuevo. El olor y el humo se disiparán con el uso.
1. Coloque la parrilla en una superficie plana, estable y que sea resistente al calor.
Asegúrese de que la parrilla está limpia, seca, ensamblada y en un área bien
ventilada.
2. Asegúrese de que la sonda de temperatura está en la posición de apagado (OFF) e
insértela en el receptáculo con la perilla de encendido hacia arriba.
3. Ajuste la sonda a la temperatura deseada.
