1. Unpack the ice maker from the box.
2. Remove any unwanted packaging materials such as cardboard, plastics or
styrofoam.
3. Wipe clean all parts using a soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water. DO
NOT IMMERSE THE ICE MAKER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE
DO NOT IMMERSE THE BLENDER BASE INTO WATER AT ANY TIME

General information

General information
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed. PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE
PORTABLE ICE MAKER.
1. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord, plug or ice
maker base in water or any other liquid.
2. Always operate this unit on a flat stable surface.
3. Do not use the ice maker for other than intended use. Do not use outdoors.
For household use only.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near
children. This ice maker is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the ice maker by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Always unplug this unit from the electrical outlet when not in use or before
cleaning.
6. Do not operate the ice maker with a damaged power cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the
ice maker to the warranty center for examination, repair, or electrical or
mechanical adjustment. See warranty page. Do not attempt to repair the ice
maker yourself.
7. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch
any hot surface.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer
may result in fire, electrical shock, or risk of injury.
9. Do not place the ice maker on or near hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
10. Keep the ice maker a minimum of 3” away from other objects to allow proper
ventilation.
11. Do not insert any objects into the ice maker.
12. Keep hands, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from the ice
pegs while the unit is plugged in and in use.
13. Before using the ice maker for the first time, please allow the ice maker to sit
in one place with the transparent lid open for at least 2 hours.
14. Keep the ventilation openings clear of obstructions.

CAUTION:
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The
warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood
by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be
built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal
injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care
is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution
is necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V,
and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not
drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over accidentally.
Polarized plug
NOTE:
This ice maker has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended
to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
Electric power
If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your ice maker may not
operate properly. The ice maker should be operated on a separate electrical
circuit from other operating appliances.

Safety warning
Although your ice maker is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below
must be followed:
1. Do not place the ice maker near a heat source.
2. Never leave the ice maker unattended while connected to the electrical
outlet.
3. Use the ice maker on a stable work surface away from water.
4. Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.
5. The ice maker must be unplugged:
A. After each use.
B. If it appears to be faulty.
C. Before cleaning or maintenance.

User Instructions
Before First Use
Read all instructions before first use and follow them carefully.
Wash all pieces, except base unit, in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly
before first use. Do NOT immerse ice maker in water or any other liquid.
Control Panel
A. The green POWER light will blink when the unit is plugged in.
B. To turn the unit on, press the ON/OFF button.
C. The green light will stay on and the green light over the L will turn on
indicating the unit is ON and the LARGE size cube has been selected.
D. To change the size of the ice cube, press the SELECT button to change
between L (large) or S (small) ice cubes. The green light will indicate which
size has been selected.
E. The indicator light above the ADD WATER will turn red when there is
insufficient water for ice production. Please add water to the water reservoir
but do not overfill. Press the ON/OFF button twice to restart the ice making
process.
F. When the ice tray is full, the light above ICE FULL will turn red and the unit will
stop working. Please remove the ice tray, empty it, and replace the tray. Add
water if necessary. The unit will restart automatically.
Operating Instructions
1. Open the lid and remove the ice tray.
2. Add water to the water reservoir. DO NOT OVERFILL. The maximum amount
of water to add should not be more than 72 oz (9 cups). There is a MAX line
inside the water reservoir for reference.

3. Always use fresh potable water before starting ice cube production. To
ensure the cleanliness of the ice, please use fresh water at least once a day.
4. Plug in the ice maker. The POWER light will blink. Place the tray in the
reservoir and close lid.
5. Press ON/OFF button to turn unit on.
6. Select desired ice size. Default for the unit is the large size.
7. NOTE: Please select the small (S) cubes when the ambient temperature is
below 60°F. When the ambient temperature is above 86°F the large (L) size
ice cubes are recommended.
8. The ice shovel will be in the up position and the water tray will fill with water.
9. Ice cubes will form around the ice pegs. The ice shovel and water tray will
drop down, the shovel will move back behind the ice pegs. The cubes will
release from the pegs.
10. The ice shovel will scoop up the ice cubes and deposit them in the ice tray.
11. This unit will make 9 ice cubes per cycle. It takes approximately 8 minutes per
cycle.
12. NOTE: For the first 3 cycles the ice cubes may be small and irregular in size.

13. The ice tray area is not refrigerated. Remove the ice cubes as soon as
possible after 2 to 3 cycles or they will begin to melt.
14. Do not allow ice tray to overfill.
15. NOTE: The ice cubes may appear cloudy due to the fast rate of freezing. It is
only trapped air and does not affect the quality or taste of the ice.
WARNINGS
ALWAYS keep fingers and utensils away from the ice pegs.
ALWAYS make sure that the ice maker is unplugged from the power outlet when
not in use.
USE CAUTION when filling the water reservoir or removing the ice tray. The
condenser and compressor can get hot and the surrounding areas may be hot to
the touch.

Helpful Hints
If a power failure occurs, the power cord is disconnected, or the ON/OFF
button pressed during an ice making cycle, small chips may form and
lodge in the automatic shovel causing it to jam. UNPLUG the unit and
gently push the shovel to the rear of the cabinet and gently remove the
ice chips. Plug the unit in and press ON/OFF twice to re-start the cycle.
Make sure the ice tray is sitting properly in the unit or the ice shovel will
not be able to deposit the ice cubes.
If the ADD WATER light comes on, and there’s water still in the reservoir,
this means that the water is not reaching the sensor, add water to the
reservoir and press ON/OFF button twice to re-start the cycle.
If the ADD WATER light stays on after filling the reservoir, turn the unit off
and restart by unplugging the ice maker. Plug the ice maker back in and
press the ON/OFF button twice.
If the ice cubes are too large and have pieces sticking to it, the water
temperature could be too cold. Press the SELECT button to change to the
S (small) ice cubes.
If all the lights blink simultaneously the water tray may be blocked by an
ice cube. UNPLUG the unit and remove the ice cube. Restart the unit.

CAUTION:
Always be sure that the ice maker is unplugged and completely cooled before
cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE ice maker in water or
any other liquid.
1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, turn the unit off
and be sure to unplug from power outlet first.
2. Drain any remaining water out of the water reservoir by unplugging the plastic
plug found on the bottom of the unit. It can be found under the water
reservoir.
3. Wipe the outer surface of the ice maker base with a warm damp cloth and dry
with a soft cloth.
4. Using a soft damp cloth and diluted solution of water and white vinegar to
wipe out the water reservoir, the liner below the ice pegs, the ice pegs, and
the automatic ice shovel. Leave the transparent lid open to allow the unit to
dry completely.
5. Hand wash the removable ice tray and ice scoop in warm soapy water. Rinse
& Dry.
6. Do not immerse the ice maker base in water or any other liquid.

Información general
Cuando use electrodomésticos, siempre se deben seguir las precauciones de
seguridad básicas. POR FAVOR, LEA Y GUARDE TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES
ANTES DE USAR LA MÁQUINA PARA HACER HIELO.
1. Para protegerse contra descargas eléctricas, no sumerja el cable de
alimentación, el enchufe o la máquina para hacer hielo en agua u otro líquido.
2. Utilice siempre este electrodoméstico sobre una superficie plana y estable.
3. No use la máquina para hacer hielo para un uso que no sea el previsto. No
utilizar al aire libre. Para uso doméstico solamente.
4. Es necesaria una atenta supervisión cuando el aparato es usado por niños o
cerca de estos. Esta máquina para hacer hielo no está diseñada para ser
utilizada por personas (incluidos niños) con disminución en sus capacidades
físicas, sensoriales o mentales; o con falta de experiencia y conocimiento, a
menos de que hayan recibido supervisión o instrucciones relativas al uso de la
máquina para hacer hielo por una persona responsable de su seguridad.
5. Desenchufe siempre la unidad del tomacorriente cuando no esté en uso y

instrucciones que se detallan en este manual de instrucciones no cubren todas las
condiciones y situaciones posibles que podrían suceder. El operador debe
entender que el sentido común y la precaución son factores que no se pueden
incluir en el producto, sino que los debe aportar el operador mismo.
PRECAUCIÓN: Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de
lesiones personales resultantes de enredarse o tropezar con un cable más largo.
Hay disponibles cables de extensión en las tiendas locales de hardware y estos se
pueden utilizar si se tiene cuidado en su uso. Si se requiere usar un cable de
extensión, es necesario tener especial cuidado y precaución. Además el cable
debe: (1) estar marcado con una clasificación eléctrica de 125 V y al menos 13 A,
1625 W y (2) el cable debe colocarse de manera que no cuelgue de un mostrador

Enchufe polarizado
NOTA:
La máquina para hacer hielo posee un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más
ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este
enchufe está diseñado para entrar en un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo
sentido.
Si el enchufe no entra completamente en el tomacorriente, gire el enchufe.
Si el enchufe aún no encaja, comuníquese con un electricista calificado. No
intente eliminar esta característica de seguridad.
Alimentación eléctrica
Si el circuito eléctrico está sobrecargado con otros electrodomésticos, la máquina
para hacer hielo podría no funcionar correctamente. La máquina para hacer hielo
debe conectarse en un circuito eléctrico diferente al de otros aparatos en
funcionamiento.

Antes del primer uso
Lea todas las instrucciones antes del primer uso y sígalas atentamente.
Lave todas las piezas, excepto la unidad base, en agua tibia jabonosa. Enjuáguelas y
séquelas completamente antes del primer uso. No sumerja la máquina para hacer hielo en
agua ni en ningún otro líquido.
Panel de control
A. La luz verde POWER (Alimentación) parpadea cuando la unidad está enchufada.
B. Para encender la unidad, presione el botón ON/OFF (Encendido/Apagado).
C. La luz verde permanecerá encendida y la luz verde sobre LARGE (Grande) se
encenderá para indicar que la unidad está ENCENDIDA y se ha seleccionado el tamaño
GRANDE para los cubitos de hielo.
D. Para cambiar el tamaño de los cubitos de hielo, presione el botón SELECT
(Seleccionar) para cambiar entre cubitos grandes (LARGE) y pequeños (SMALL). La luz
verde indicará el tamaño seleccionado.
E. La luz indicadora sobre ADD WATER (Agregar agua) se iluminará de color rojo cuando
no haya suficiente agua para hacer hielo. Agregue agua al depósito de agua, pero no
lo llene excesivamente. Presione el botón ON/OFF (Encendido/Apagado) dos veces
para reiniciar el proceso de producción de hielo.
F. Cuando la bandeja para hielo esté llena, la luz sobre ICE FULL (Bandeja llena de hielo)
se iluminará de color rojo y la unidad se detendrá. Saque la bandeja para hielo,
vacíela y vuelva a colocarla en su lugar. Agregue agua de ser necesario. La unidad se
pondrá en marcha automáticamente.
Instrucciones de funcionamiento
1. Abra la cubierta y saque la bandeja para hielo.
2. Agregue agua al depósito de agua. NO LO SOBRELLENE. La cantidad máxima de agua
que se agregué no debe sobrepasar las 72 onzas (2.1 l o 9 tazas). Una línea MAX en el
interior del depósito de agua indica el nivel máximo.

3. Utilice siempre agua potable fresca para hacer cubitos de hielo. Para
garantizar la pureza de los cubitos de hielo, utilice agua fresca al menos una
vez al día.
4. Enchufe la máquina para hacer hielo. La luz POWER (Alimentación)
parpadeará. Coloque la bandeja en el depósito y cierre la cubierta.
5. Presione el botón ON/OFF (Encendido/Apagado) para encender la unidad.
6. Seleccione el tamaño que desee para los cubitos de hielo. El tamaño
predeterminado de esta unidad es grande.
7. NOTA: Por favor, seleccione el tamaño pequeño (SMALL) cuando la
temperatura ambiente sea inferior a 60 °F (15.5 °C). Cuando la temperatura
ambiente supera los 86 °F (30 °C), se recomienda usar el tamaño grande
(LARGE) para los cubitos de hielo.
8. La pala de hielo estará en posición vertical y la bandeja se llenará de agua.
9. Los cubitos de hielo se formarán alrededor de las clavijas. La pala de hielo y la
bandeja bajarán, y la pala se moverá detrás de las clavijas. Los cubitos de
hielo se soltarán de las clavijas.
10. La pala de hielo recogerá los cubitos y los depositará en la bandeja para hielo.

11. La unidad hará unos 9 cubitos de hielo por ciclo. Cada ciclo tarda unos 8
minutos.
12. NOTA: Durante los primeros 3 ciclos, los cubitos pueden tener un tamaño
pequeño e irregular.
13. El área de la bandeja para hielo no está refrigerada. Saque los cubitos de
hielo lo antes posible después de 2 o 3 ciclos o estos comenzarán a derretirse.
14. No deje que la bandeja para hielo se llene en exceso.
15. NOTA: Los cubitos de hielo pueden tener una apariencia turbia debido al
rápido congelamiento. Es aire atrapado y no afectará la calidad o el sabor del
hielo.
ADVERTENCIAS
SIEMPRE mantenga los dedos y los utensilios alejados de las clavijas de hielo.
SIEMPRE asegúrese de que la máquina para hacer hielo esté desenchufada del
tomacorriente cuando no la use.
TENGA CUIDADO al llenar el depósito de agua y al sacar la bandeja para hielo. El
condensador y el compresor se pueden calentar y las áreas contiguas pueden
sentirse calientes al tacto.
