Warranty Details
The appliance is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for a period
of 36 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period,
under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion. The
benets conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of
the appliance that the consumer has under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and
similar state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer
Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation
for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the
goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does
not amount to a major failure.

General Information and Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before rst use, even if you are familiar with this type of
product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric shock
and injury when correctly adhered to. Please keep this user manual in a safe place along
with your purchase receipt and carton for future reference. If applicable, pass these
instructions and packaging on to the next owner of the appliance. Always follow basic
safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using an electrical product.
Electrical Safety and Cord Handling
1. Before turning on the Kettle ensure the electrical voltage and frequency of the circuit
corresponds to those indicated on the rating label of the product.
2. To protect against re and electric shock, do not immerse the base, cord set or plug in
water or any other liquid.
3. Do not use an extension cord unless completely necessary with the Kettle. If an
extension cord is used, please ensure that it has a rating equal or exceeding the
rating of this product.
4. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or pull
cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
5. Do not bend or damage the power cord.
6. Never force the plug into an outlet.
7. Always unplug the Kettle when not in use. To disconnect from the power supply, grip
the plug and pull from the power outlet. Never pull by the cord. The plug must be
removed from the power outlet before cleaning, servicing, maintenance or moving the
Kettle.
8. Do not move or lift the Kettle while the cord is still connected to the power outlet or
still on.
9. To avoid a hazard, do not use the appliance if the plug, cord, base or the Kettle itself
is damaged. Please contact the After Sales Support line for further advice.
10. Ensure that the power cord does not get tangled under the base of the Kettle.
11. Unless your home is already tted with a residual current device (safety switch), we
recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual operating current not exceeding
30mA to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. See
your electrician for professional advice.

Usage Conditions and Restrictions
1. The Kettle is intended for indoor household use only and not for commercial purposes.
2. Do not use the Kettle for other than its intended use.
3. The Kettle is not a toy. Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with this
product.
4. The Kettle is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person
responsible for their safety.
5. Do not leave the Kettle unattended when plugged in. Always switch off and unplug
when you are not using the Kettle.
6. Do not operate or place any part of the Kettle on or near any hot surfaces (such as a
gas, or an electric burner or a heated oven).
7. This unit has no user-serviceable parts contained within. Do not attempt to repair,
disassemble or modify the Kettle.
8. Improper installation or misuse may result in the risk of re, electric shock or injury to
person.
9. The manufacturer is not responsible for any eventual damage caused by improper or
faulty use.
10. The use of attachments not sold or recommended by the manufacturer may cause re,
electric shock or injury.
11. The Kettle is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or any type of
separate remote control system.

Handling and Usage
1. To reduce the risk of electrocution, never operate this product with wet hands,
submerge in water or spill liquids into the product.
2. Do not use the Kettle near a window as rain may cause electric shock.
3. Do not place the Kettle near a hot gas or electric burner or combustible materials such
as curtains or tablecloths.
4. Do not cover the Kettle whilst in use. If it is covered there may be a risk of electric re.
5. Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliances, leave at least
10cm of free space around the product.
6. Always operate the Kettle on a at, even and stable level surface. Do not operate the
Kettle on an inclined plane.
7. Always ensure that you ll the Kettle past the minimum level, but do not exceed the
maximum level, as marked on the water level indicator. If the Kettle is overlled, boiling
water will be ejected.
8. The surface of the Kettle can get very hot during use, please only hold by the jug
handle.
9. Beware of steam being released from the spout or lid, especially during relling. Never
open the lid during the boiling cycle.
10. Never ll the Kettle when it is positioned on the power base.
11. Never allow the Kettle to boil dry.
12. Do not move the Kettle while it is switched ON.

Getting Started
Before First Use
Prior to using your Kettle, please read all the safety and operating instructions thoroughly.
Please ensure you follow the steps below before using this appliance. We recommend you
keep the original packaging for storing your Kettle when not in use.
1. Unpack the product but keep all packaging material until you have made sure your new
Kettle is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation
hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all packaging materials are out of their
reach.
2. Remove the twist-tie which is securing the electrical cord. Uncoil the cord and
straighten it to remove any kinks. Do not use this product if these parts are damaged.
In case of damage, phone the After Sales Support line.
3. Wipe the exterior housing of the Kettle with a damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Do
not immerse the Kettle in water or other liquids.
4. Place the Kettle on a at, stable and dry surface to operate.
5. Open the lid by lifting the lid from the jug, then ll with cold tap water, ensuring you do
not ll past the MAX level on the water level indicator.
6. Place the jug back onto the power base.
7. Plug the cord into a power outlet and switch on. Boil the water by pressing down the
power button.
8. Once the water has boiled the Kettle will automatically power off.
9. Discard the boiled water and rell with cold water.
10. Repeat this step twice before use (in total).
NOTE: The Kettle may emit a slight burning smell when it is rst being used. Do not be
alarmed, this is normal and will cease with continued use.

Instructions
How to Use Your Kettle
1. Place the power base on a at, stable, dry and heat resistant surface.
2. Remove the jug from the power base and remove the lid.
3. Fill the jug with cold tap water, ensuring you ll past the minimum level, but do not
exceed the maximum level as marked on the water level indicator. Close the lid by
pressing it gently into place.
4. Place the jug back onto the power base, ensuring it sits correctly.
5. Insert the plug into a power outlet and switch on.
6. Press the power button, this will illuminate when switched on.
7. Once the water has boiled the Kettle will automatically turn off. Ensure that the
appliance is switched off before removing it from the Base.
WARNING: Ensure you handle with care when moving or pouring hot water from the
Kettle. The boiling water and escaping steam can scald.
WARNING: If the water inside the Kettle is hot make sure when removing the Lid that it
is positioned so that steam is directed away from you.

Other Useful Information
Boil-Dry Protection
The Kettle is tted with a boil-dry protection safety function, which protects the Kettle
against overheating should the appliance be operated with insufcient water. If this should
occur and the boil-dry protection is activated, you will need to let the Kettle cool down for
at least 10 minutes before it will work again. Please ensure that you add water to the Kettle
before proceeding once again.
Cleaning and Maintenance
1. Switch off and unplug the cord from the power outlet.
2. Allow for the Kettle to cool down completely before cleaning.
3. Wipe the exterior housing of the Kettle with a soft damp cloth.
4. Do not use harsh scouring agents, powders, steel wool or chemicals when cleaning,
as these products may damage the exterior nish.
5. To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use alkaline cleaning agents when
cleaning. Use a soft cloth and a mild detergent to clean the interior of the Kettle and
ensure you rinse thoroughly before reusing.
De-Scaling
Mineral deposits from tap water may cause the interior of the water level indicator to
discolour. To remove the build up, it is recommended to de-scale your Kettle regularly.
1. To de-scale, ll the Kettle with 1.2L of water and then add 50ml of vinegar.
2. Allow this to boil and let it stand overnight.
3. Re-boil the water and vinegar mixture and then discard.
4. Rell the Kettle with cold water and re-boil, then discard.
NOTE: Commercial de-scalers may also be used in the Kettle, but please ensure you
follow the manufacturers instructions carefully.
WARNING: Never immerse the kettle jug, power base, cord or plug into water or any
liquid when cleaning.

Storage
• Before packing the Kettle away for storage, ensure it has completely cooled down, is
clean, dry and the lid is securely closed.
• We recommend storing the Kettle in its original carton, which will protect it from dust,
with all parts. To keep the cord tidy, simply wind the cord around the cord storage on
the under side of the power base.
• Store the Kettle in a clean and dry place, out of children’s reach.
• Do not place heavy objects on top during storage.
Responsible Disposal
At the end of its working life, do not throw this product out with your household rubbish.
Electrical and electronic products contain substances that can have a detrimental effect
on the environment and human health if disposed of inappropriately. Observe any
local regulations regarding the disposal of electrical consumer goods and dispose of
it appropriately for recycling. Contact your local authorities for advice, and recycle all
packaging material where possible.
Please keep the original packaging carton and materials in a safe place. It will help to
prevent any damage if the product needs to be transported in the future. In the event it is to
be disposed of, please recycle all packaging material where possible.

FAQ
Problem Solution
The Kettle does not
turn on?
• Please check that the power cord is plugged into the
outlet correctly and switched on.
• Check there is power to the outlet by testing with another
product.
• Check that the Kettle is sitting on the base plate correctly.
• There is insufcient water in the Kettle and the boil-dry
protection has been activated. You will need to let the
Kettle rest for 10 minutes to allow it to reset before use.
Why does the Kettle
smell when using for
the rst few times?
• This is normal for new appliances as the product burns off
any lubricants used in the manufacturing process and the
smell will cease with continued use.
Why is boiling water
and steam being
ejected from the
Kettle?
• The Kettle has been lled past the maximum level
indicated on the water level indicator. Remove some
water.
Do I need to ll
the Kettle with a
minimum amount of
water?
• Yes, there is a minimum water level indicator on the Kettle
and you should always ll to at least this level. Never ll
past the MAX level indicator.
Why won’t the kettle
turn on?
• Check that the kettle jug is placed securely on the power
base.
• Check the power outlet is turned on.

Repair and Refurbished
Goods or Parts Notice
Unfortunately, from time to time, faulty appliances are manufactured which need to be
returned to the Supplier for repair.
Please be aware that if your appliance is capable of retaining user-generated data (such
as les stored on a computer hard drive, telephone numbers stored on a mobile telephone,
songs stored on a portable media player, games saved on a games console or les stored
on a USB memory stick) during the process of repair, some or all of your stored data may
be lost.
We recommend you save this data elsewhere prior to sending the appliance for repair.
You should also be aware that rather than repairing goods, we may replace them with
refurbished goods of the same type or use refurbished parts in the repair process.
Please be assured though, refurbished parts or replacements are only used where they
meet ALDI’s stringent quality specications.
