SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• BeforeusingtheceramicplateforthersttimereadtheOperatingManualcarefullyas
thus you can ensure safe operation and avoid damage to the plate.
• Iftheceramicplateisoperatedneararadio,TVsetorotheremittingdevice,pleasecheck
whether the touch panel works correctly.
• Theceramicplateshouldbeinstalledbyaqualiedelectrician.
• Donotinstalltheplatenearrefrigeratingdevices.
• Thefurnituretheplateisttedinshouldberesistanttotemperaturesupto100oC. The
requirementappliestotheveneer,plasticsurfaces,gluesandvarnishes.
• Theplatecanbeusedonlyafterithasbeenttedintofurniture,asonlythusyouwillbe
protected from accidental contact with live components.
• Electricappliancescanberepairedonlybyqualiedspecialists.Unprofessionalrepairs
may compromise the safety of the appliance.
• Theapplianceisdisconnectedfromthemainsonlywhenthemainsplugispulledoutfrom
the socket or when the fuse has been switched off ..
• Neverallowchildrentoremainunattendednearthecooktopnortoplaywiththecontrol
panel.
• Unlessproperlysupervisedbycaretakersoruponthoroughstudiesoftheoperatingmanual,
the appliance must not be operated by persons (including children) of limited physical or
psychicalabilities,theseoflimitedtechnicalexpertise,orunfamiliarwiththeequipment.
• People with life function support implants (such as a heart pacemaker, an insulin
pump, or a hearing aid) must make sure that the operation of these devices is not
disturbed by the induction plate (induction plate frequency range is 20 to 50 kHz).
• Whenswitchedonthehotplatesquicklybecomehot.Toavoidunnecessarypowercon
sumption,switchthemononlyafterputtingacookingpotonthem.
• Aresidualtemperatureindicatorbuiltinintotheelectronicsystemtellsyouwhetherthe
hotplate is still switched on and whether it is still hot .
• Allthesettingsmadebeforepowerswitchonarecancelledifpowersupplyiscut.Proceed
cautiously once the power is restored. ‘H’ residual heat indicator will glow as long as the
heatingzonesarehot.Additionally,lockkeysymbolison,asatinitialstartup.
• Ifthemainssocketislocatednearahotplate,pleasemakesurethatthesupplycorddoes
not touch the hot places.
• Donotleavetheplateunattendedwhencookingonfatsandoilsastheycreaterehazard.
• Donotuseplasticpotsorcontainersmadefromaluminiumfoilastheymeltinhightem-
peratures and may damage the ceramic plate.
• Sugar,citricacid,saltetc.,bothinliquidandsolidstateaswellasplasticshouldnotget
into contact with a hot hotplate.
• Ifthroughcarelessness,sugarorplasticgetsonahothotplate,youmaynotswitchtheplate
off but scrape away sugar or plastic using a sharp scrapper. Protect hands from burns.
• Useonlyatbottompotsandsaucepansonyourceramicplate,withoutsharpedgesor
burrs as otherwise the plate may get permanently damaged.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Theheatingsurfaceoftheceramicplateisresistanttothermalshock.Itisneitherhotnor
cold-sensitive.
• Avoiddroppingobjectsontheplate.Apointhit,forexampleafallingbottlewithspices,
may in unfavourable circumstances lead to cracks and splits appearing on your ceramic
plate.
• Boiledoverresidualsoffoodmaypenetratethedamagedplacesandgettothelivecom-
ponents of the ceramic plate.
• Shouldcracksorsplitsappearonthesurfaceofyourceramicplateimmediatelydisconnect
itfromthemains.Inordertodoso,switchoffthefuseorpulloutthemainsplugfromthe
socket. Call the Customer Service.
• Pleaseobservethemaintenanceandcleaningguidelines.Shouldyoufailtoproceedin
compliancewiththeprovidedguidelines,youwillloseyourwarrantyrights.
•Do not use the surface of the plate as a carving board or a working top.
• Itisrecommendedthatmetalobjectslikeknives,forks,spoonsandlidsarenotleftonthe
ceramic plate as they can become hot.
• Do not t the plate over a cooker without a fan, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer or
washing machine.
SAVING ENERGY
Everybody who properly
uses energy not only saves
money but also consciously
acts in aid of the natural
environment. So let’s save
electric energy by:
• Using proper cookware.
 Potsandpanswithatandthickbottom
help to save up to one-third of electric
energy. Remember about the lid as
otherwise the consumption of energy
quadruples!
• Maintaining hotplates and pot bottoms
clean.
Dirt obstructs the transfer of heat – heavily
burnt food residuals often can be cleaned
only with chemicals harmful to the envi-
ronment.
• Avoiding necessary “peeping into
pots”.
• Not using the plate near refrigerators /
freezers.
As the consumption of energy unneces-
sary rises.

Note!
Do not forget to connect the protective circuit to a clamp of the connection strip marked
with sign. The plate power supply system should be protected by appropriately
selectedsafetydeviceorafterthepowersupplyprotection,byappropriatesafety
switch cutting off the power in case of emergency.

Connecting the plate to the electrical system
Note!
Theplatecanbeconnectedtothemainsonlybyaqualiedcertiedinstaller.Wilful
adaptationsormodicationstotheelectricsystemareprohibited.
Guidelines for the installer
Theplateisprovidedwithaterminalboxenablingselectionofproperconnectionsforthe
given type of power supply.
Theterminalboxenablesthefollowingtypesofconnection:
 onephase230V
 twophase400V2N~
Theplatecanbeconnectedtotheappropriatepowersupplybyadequatebridgingonthe
connectionstrip,inaccordancewiththeattachedwiringdiagram.Thewiringdiagramisalso
provided in the bottom part of the lower cover. The connection strip can be accessed once
thecoverontheterminalboxisremoved.Pleaseremembertomatchthemainsconnection
cable to the type of connection and the rated power of the plate.
Before connecting the plate to the electric system read information provided on the rating
plate and wiring diagram.
Note!Theinstallerisobligedtocompleteandleavewiththeusera“certicateofconnecting
the plate to the mains” (attached to the warranty card).

Inductive hotplate – principles of operation
Electricgeneratorsuppliespowertoacoillocatedinside
theappliance.Asthecoilgeneratesmagneticeld,in-
duced currents permeable to a pot placed on the plate.
The currents make the pot a true heat transmitter while
the glass surface of the plate remains cold.
Thesystemprovidesfortheusageofpotswithbottomssusceptibletomagneticeld.
In general the inductive technology is characterised by two features:
• theentireheatemittedbythepotcanbeutilized,
• lack of thermal inertia phenomenon as cooking starts automatically once a pot is put on
the plate and ends once it is taken off the plate.
Protection device:
Iftheplatehasbeencorrectlyinstalledandisproperlyused,protectivedevicesareseldom
needed.
Fan: Protects and cools the control and power components. It works automatically with two
speeds. The fan works when the hotplates are switched off and stops when the electronic
system reaches appropriate temperature.
Transistor: A heat probe measures temperature of the electronic components continuously.
Shouldthetemperatureriseexcessively,thesystemwillreducethepowerofthezoneor
switch the zone nearest to the hot electronic compound off.
Detection: Potdetectionenablestheplateoperationand,consequently,heating.Smallob-
jectsleftonahotplate(i.e.ateaspoon,knifeorring)willnotbetreatedaspotsandwillnot
cause the plate to switch on.

• carefullycleantheceramicplatetreatingitasaglasssurface,
• whenusedforthersttimetheplatecangiveoffabitofasmellsoswitchontheventilation
systemoropenthewindow,
• operatetheplateobservingthesafetyinstructions.

Pot detector
Thepotdetectorisinstalledinplatesequippedwiththeinductiveeldsystem.Duringopera-
tion the pot detector automatically starts or stops the production of heat once a pot is put or
removedfromtheplate,savingenergy.
• Ifappropriatepotisusedthereisaheatlevelindicatedonthedisplay.
• Inductionrequirestheuseofwellmatchedpotswithbottomsmadeofmagneticmaterial
(see Table page 14).
The pot detector does not operate as an ON/ OFF switch.
Whenswitchingtheplateonandoffandincreasing/reducingtheheatingpoweralways
touch only one sensor.Ifyoutouchseveralsensorsatthesametime(withtheexcep-
tionofswitchingoffthehotplateortheclock),thesystemwillignoretheenteredsettings
and,shouldyoukeeptouchingthesensorsforalongtime,willemitafaultsignal.
Theceramicplateisequippedwithsensorsoperatedbytouchingthemarkedareaswithnger.
Everytouchofasensorisconrmedwithasound.
OPERATION
Selection of cookware for inductive hotplates
Appropriatequalityofpotsconditionstheperformanceofyourplate.
• Alwaysusehighqualitypotswithideallyatbottomsasitpreventspointsoftoohightem-
peratureformingonthebottomandconsequentlystickingofthecookedfood.Potsand
pans with thick metal sides guarantee perfect distribution of heat.
• Alwaysensurethatthebottomofthepotsisdry:whenyoullupthepotortakeitoutfrom
the fridge always check if the bottom is perfectly dry as it helps to keep the plate clean.
• Lidspreventtheheatfromescapingfromthepotandthusshortenthecookingtimeand
reduce the consumption of power.
Ifapothasnotbeenputonthehotplateorimproperpothasbeenused,thesign
will be displayed. The hotplate will not switch on.
Ifnopotsaredetectedwithin10minutes,theswitchingonoperationiscancelled.
Ahotplatehastobeswitchedoffbyusingthetouchsensors,notonlybytakingthe
pot off.

Selection of cookware for inductive hotplates
Energyiswellgeneratedwhenthedimensionsofapotareequaltoaninductioncooktop.
The shortest and longest diameters are presented in the table below and they depend on
thequalityofadish.

While using smaller pots than the minimum diameters, the induction cooktop
may not work.

Deep embossed logo or concave bottom of the cookware can interfere with

• Alltheindicatorswillgoonforabriefmomentwhenthecooktopisconnectedtothemains.
The appliance is ready to work.
• Thecooktopisequippedwithanelectronictouchbuttoncontrolpanel.Pressthesuitable
buttonforatleast1secondtoactivatetherequestedfunction.
• Abrieftonesoundseachtimeatouchbuttonistouched.
Note: do not put any objects on the touch panels. Risk of triggering error alert.
The touch panel should be maintained clean.
Turning on a burner
OncethecooktophasbeenactivatedwiththeON/OFFbutton(1),youcanproceedwith
setting the burners as follows:
1. Selecttherequiredburnerwithburnerselector(2). ‘0’ will light up in the respective
burnerdisplayanditsdecimalpointwillash.
2. Next,youcansettherequiredheatingpowerbypressingtouchbuttons“+”(2) or “-“ (4).
The burner will go off if no button is touched within the ten seconds time.
Respectivedecimalpointinthedisplayblinkstoconrmthataburnerisactivatedand
ready for parameters input.
Turning on the cooktop
AlltheburnersarecoldandindicatorsaredeadwhenthecooktopisinOFFmode.Touch
theON/OFFbutton(1) to turn the appliance on. ‘0’ will appear in each burner display and
thedecimalpointwillash.
The appliance remains active and ready to take in the settings for 10 seconds. The
cooktop will go off if no button is touched within the ten seconds time.
Cooktopcannotbeturnedonifthechildrensafetylockisactive.ThekeyLEDsign(8)
is on. (see Unlocking the cooktop).
Setting the heating power
As long as ‘0’ remains displayed in the burner display (3)andtherespectivedigitisblinking,
youcansettherequiredheatingpowerbypressingtouchbuttons“+”(2) or “-“ (4).

Turning off the cooktop
• ThecooktopremainsinONmodeaslongasatleastoneoftheburnersisactive.
• TouchON/OFFbuttontoturnofftheentirecooktop.
Fortheburnerswhicharestillhottheresidualheatindicator‘H’willshowintherespective
display (3).
Turning off a burner.
• Aburnerisactiveandthedecimalpointisblinking.
• Reducetheburner’sheatingpowertouchtheburner’sON/OFFbuttonandreduceits
heating power to ‘0’ to turn off a single burner with “-“ button (4).
The burner will go off in about 3 seconds.
Lock
The cooktop has a child safety lock to prevent children from turning on the burners or changing
the settings. Activate the lock by touching button (8).
Ifthelockisactivatedwhenthecooktop(alltheburners)isoff,itwillnotbepossibletoturn
thecooktopaccidentally,i.e.beforetheunlockingoperationiscarriedout.
The lock deactivates automatically after the power supply is restored in case
of power cut.
Booster function
Boosterincreasesthepoweroftheheatingzonesasfollows:Φ210from2300Wto3000W.
The Booster function (acceleration of cooking) is activated after pressing sensor (9) when the
inductive hotplate is switched on and active. The activation of Booster is signalised by letter
“P” displayed on the hotplate indicator.
The Booster function is deactivated by pressing sensor (9)forthenexttime,bypressingsen-
sor (-) when the inductive hotplate is active or by lifting the pot from the inductive plate.
The Booster function can be active for a maximum time of 8 minutes
If full power has been set to all the zones, activating Booster will automatically
reduce the output of the front left or front right zone. A change in front zone
power display will follow.

Residual temperature indicator
Whenahotplatehasbeenswitchedoffletter“H”isdisplayedindicatingthatthehotplateis
still hot.
Do not touch the hotplate or put
heat-sensitive objects on it when
the “H” letter is displayed as you
can burn yourself or the object!
If the indication goes out you can touch the
hotplate but have to bear in mind that it still
does not have ambient temperature.
Residual heat indicator is off if the
power is off.
Locking the cooktop
Touch the key button (8) to activate the lock. The lock is activated the moment the respective
LEDstartstoblink.Abrieftunesoundswhenthebuttonistouched.
Unlocking the cooktop
Touch the key button (8) to turn off the lock. The lock becomes inactive the moment the respec-
tiveLEDgoesoff.Abrieftunesoundswhenthebuttonisreleased.
“0” must be apparent in all the displays, or the heating power must be set for
at least one of the burners in order to lock the cooktop.

Automatic warming
• Theselectedburnermustbesetat“0”heatingpower.
• Theheatingpowerwillswitchto9themomentbutton(4) is pressed.
• Then,press“+”button(2) for the respective burner. “A” will light up in the display.
• Next,selectthedesiredheatingpowerwithbutton(4).
“A” and the preset requested heating power indication for the burner blink in the re-
spective display in successive turns.
The burner will automatically switch to the preset heating power after the time of extra
power supply has elapsed. That power value will be indicated in the display.
Note. If the heating power selector
remains at “0” position for more
than 3 seconds after the quick
heating function is switched off
(i.e. heating power in unchanged),
the quick warming feature goes
off, too.
If the pot is removed from the bur-
ner and is placed on it again wi-
thin 10 minutes, the extra waring
will be executed completely.

Limited time of operation
To increase its reliability the plate is pro-
vided with an operation time limiter for each
hotplate. The maximal times of operation
depend on the last selected heating power
level. A hotplate switches off automatically
if the heating power has not been changed
duringthespeciedtime(seetheTable)and
the residual time indicator is lighted. You can
however switch on and use the respective
hotplatesinaccordancewiththeOperating
Manual.

OPERATION
All the burners must work simultaneously in the clock time setting mode.
Cooking time can be input quickly by keeping the “+” (5) or “-“ (4) buttons
depressed.
Changing the preset cooking time
The preset cooking duration can be changed at any time.
• Selecttherequiredburnerwithburnerselector(2). The decimal point in the display starts
blinking.
• Pressclockon/offbutton(5) to turn on the clock. The selected burner indicator is blin-
king.
• Press“+”(5) or “-“ (4)buttonstosettherequestedcookingtime.
Check of the elapsed cooking time
You can check the elapsed and the remaining time of cooking at any time. Just press burner
on / off button (2).
Clock / timer
Theprogrammingclockcancontrolalltheheatingelements,therebymakingcookingeasier.
The clock can be also used as an alarm feature.
Turning the clock on
The clock makes cooking easier. It can be used to preset the duration of uptimes of the bur-
ners. The clock can be also used as an alarm feature.
• Selecttherequiredburnerwithburnerselector(2). The decimal point in the display starts
blinking.
• Settherequiredheatingpowerwithin19rangebypressingthe“+”(2) or “-“ (4) but-
tons.
• Pressclockon/offbutton(5) to activate the clock. “00” will be indicated in the clock display (6).
• Press“+”(5) or “-“ (4)buttonstosettherequestedcookingtime(rangeof01to99minutes).
Theclockwillactivateinacoupleofseconds.Therespectiveburner’sLEDwillgoon.

Clock in alarm function
Thecookingtimeclockcanbeusedasanextraalarmiftheburnersuptimeisnotinauto-
matic time control mode.
Activating the alarm
Ifthecooktopisswitchedoff,proceedasfollows:
• Touchthecooktopon/offbutton(1) to switch the appliance on.
• Thenpressclockon/offbutton(5).
• Adjusttherequestedtimebypressingthe“+”(5) and “-“ (4) buttons.
Deactivating the alarm
Atunesoundsafterthepresetrequestedcookingtimehaselapsed.Thattunecanbeturned
offbytouchinganybutton.Otherwisethealarmwillgooffautomaticallyin2minutes.
Ifitisnecessarytoturntheclockoffbeforethepresettimehasbeencounted,proceedas
follows:
• Pressclockon/offbutton(5) to turn on the clock.
• Press““(4) buttons to reduce the cooking time to “00”. The alarm function will go off.
Press “+” (5) and “-“ (4) buttons simultaneously to turn the clock off.
• Iftheclockhadbeenprogrammedtooperateasanalarm.Itisnotcapableofcontrolling
the cooking times (switch the clock in alarm function off).
Turning the clock off
Atunesoundsafterthepresetrequestedcookingtimehaselapsed.Thattunecanbeturned
offbytouchinganybutton.Otherwisethealarmwillgooffautomaticallyin2minutes.
Ifitisnecessarytoturntheclockoffbeforethepresettimehasbeencounted,proceedas
follows:
• Selecttherequiredburnerwithburnerselector(2). The decimal point in the display starts
blinking.
• Pressclockon/offbutton(5) to turn on the clock.
• Press““(4)buttonstoreducethecookingtimeto“00”.Theclockfunctionwillgooff,while
the burner remains active until it is manually switched off.
Quick clock turn-off
• Selecttherequiredburnerwithburnerselector(2). The decimal point in the display goes on.
• Pressclockon/offbutton(5) to turn on the clock.
• Press“+”(5) and “-“ (4) buttons simultaneously to turn the burner off. “00” will be indica-
tedintheclockdisplay,andthepresetheatingpowervaluewillremainintheburner’s
display.
