Ozone Gas Detector Pro
WARNINGS
At all times, care and attention should be exercised in handling and using the Ozilla Ozone Gas
Detector Pro by following the instructions in the manual, using common sense lab practices,
wearing protective lab clothing, eyewear, and breathing masks whenever needed. NEVER use a
damaged or defective instrument to certify that a room or area is free of ozone gas
Exposure to sustained and high levels or ozone gas can be highly irritating to the upper and lower
respiratory tract. The characteristic odor is readily detectable at low concentrations (0.02 ppm to 0.05
ppm). Ozone produces local irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes and may cause pulmonary
edema at high exposure. Systematically, ozone has been reported to mimic the effects of ionizing
radiation, and may cause damage to chromosomal structures. A partial tolerance appears to develop
with repeated exposures. Although most effects are acute, the possibility of chronic lung impairment
should be considered based upon animal experimentation.
Evacuate area with ozone levels that accumulate to sustained 0.3 ppm or higher. Open
doors and windows to allow area to ventilate, and until ozone gas smell is no longer
detectable. If ozone is inhaled, remove person to fresh air. Get medical attention for
any breathing difficulties.

Ozilla® Ozone Gas Detector Pro
INTRODUCTION
The Ozilla®Ozone Gas Detector Pro is the next generation gas detector and a substantial improvement over the original Ozilla
Ozone Gas Detector, both in terms of sensitivity, performance, and options. Just like the original device, the Ozilla Ozone Gas
Detector Pro is portable, rugged, but it also has a vastly improved backlit color display that is easy to read and more user
functions. The Pro device is built with state of the art 32-bit microprocessor and 24-bit analog-to-digital (ADC) acquisition chip.
Furthermore, the detector is designed to be user-friendly, and offers many useful functions such as internal data storage, and high
and low alarm settings. The detector has a long operating battery life, and requires little or no maintenance.
Features & Benefits
Rugged and simple easy-to-use design
Broad range from 0.00 to 50.00 ppm (0 ~ 100% Vol)
Backlit high resolution 2.4-inch color LCD display
Rapid and accurate ozone gas level detection
Rechargeable and portable for use in multiple spaces and environments
Water, corrosion, dust and wear resistant; IP65 rated
No maintenance, calibration, or upkeep needed under normal use
Internal data storage
PRECAUTIONS
(a) Read all instructions before using the instrument; itmustbe used ONLY as intended and described inthis manual
(b) Do not immerse or operate the instrument under water; avoid excessive dust and dirt.
(c) Do not operate the Ozilla Ozone Gas Detector near chemical vapors or heat sources (like heating fans or dryers); it will register false ozone
readings.
(d) Do not attempt to repair or open the instrument unless you are a qualified repair technician.
(e) IMPORTANT: exposure of the detector to ozone levels in excess of 50.00 PPM may cause sensor damage and void device warranty.

OPERATION
I. Important General Notes-PLEASE READ FIRST!
•The Ozilla Ozone Gas Pro detector has a sensitive sensor which is negatively affected by gas levels in excess of 50.00 PPM. Avoid
exposing the detector to gas levels that exceed 50.00 PPM.
•Each Ozilla Ozone Gas Detector Pro is precisely calibrated again a standardized ozone gas input. It is not necessary for users to re-
calibrate the detector after purchase unless the detector is used under conditions where gas levels are extremely high (outside the
maximum range of 50.00 PPM) for prolonged periods of time. To avoid damaging the detector, calibration should only be performed
by qualified technicians
•To silence an audible alarm, users can press the up or down button.
•To save a gas reading in the detector, press the up button for a gas reading in the detector, press the up button for 3-5 seconds. See

Ozilla® Ozone Gas Detector Pro
section ??? below on how to access saved detector values.
•The detector has a power saving function where it will go into a low power usage mode after 30 seconds of idle time. When this
happens, the screen will noticeably dim. Press any key to re-activate the detector.
II. Charging the Battery
The Ozilla Ozone Gas Detector Pro uses a rechargeable polymer battery with long life capabilities. Upon receipt, we recommend
charging the instrument for to full capacity.
The battery can be charged with either the provided wall adapter (100-240V, 50/60Hz) and USB cable, or by plugging the USB cable into a
computer USB port. When the detector is plugged in, a blue light will indicate the battery is charging.
When the battery is fully charged, the light will turn to green.
NOTE: the battery charge indicator in the top right of the screen will show a full battery during the charging process even if battery is
partially charged.
The Ozilla Ozone Gas Detector Pro will take about 5 hours to charge from empty; it will run continuously for many hours on a fully-charged
battery; standby time with the pump shut off is approximately 18 hours.

III. Turning the Instrument On.
a. Press power button for three seconds: red alarm light/audible beep will come on brieflyfollowed by a warm up cycle as follows:
b. The instrument will start a warm-up cycle with a count down from “60” to “0.00”. During this phase, the circulation pump will start and
continue to work until the button is pressed, or until the detector is turned off. Do not block either intake or exhaust ports
during detector operation.
c. At the end of warm-up, the unit will emit an audible beep and the alarm light will flash briefly, then the screen will start displaying a
rotating fan symbol (Figure 5); this “ready screen” indicates the instrument is now ready to measure ozone gas levels.
d. Use the Ozilla Ozone Gas Detector to detect ozone gas levels in rooms or cabinets where the Ozilla Ozone Sterilizer device is
operating, or in general to check ozone presence in desired areas. To detect gas levels, point the device intake nozzle (Figure 1)
towards the area where ozone gas is suspected. It is recommended that users try the Ozilla Ozone Gas Detector in ozone-free areas
to get background readings and possibly to zero the instrument if needed (Section III.1)
NOTE: to avoid false positive ozone readings, avoid areas or surfaces containing relatively high alcohol or chemical vapor content.
Brief background readings of up to 0.2 ppm are normal and should not cause alarm. Any sustained (10 minutes or more) readings of
over 0.5 ppm ozone gas should be investigated and remedied.
