System Requirements
To ensure that your APSIN signal generator operates correctly with the graphical user interface,
you must have a computer with at least the minimum system requirements to run one of the
supported operating systems.
Operating system Windows™ 2000 SP4, XP SP2 or Vista, 7 or 8.
Ethernet Port 10/100/1000M LAN or USB2 Port
Unpacking the APSIN
Remove the APSIN materials from the shipping containers. Save the containers for future use.
The standard APSIN package includes:
1 Synthesized Signal Generator
1 one meter Ethernet Cable
1 Universal DC power adapter
1 PSIN Software & Manual CD
1 PSIN Get Started Manual
Initial Inspection
Inspect the shipping container(s) for damage. If container is damaged, retain it until contents of
the shipment have been verified against the packing list and instruments have been inspected
for mechanical and electrical operation.
Using the APSIN for the first time
We have designed APSIN to be as easy as possible to use. Once you have followed the
introductory steps listed below, you will be able to run and control the APSIN quickly.
1. Install the software. Load the CD-ROM that is included with your APSIN device, then click
the "Install Software" link and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Connect and apply power to your APSIN device. Only use the supplied external power
supply. Using other supplies may cause malfunction or permanent damage to the device.
3. Switch on the APSIN device using front panel on/off switch and start working.
4. If using the device remotely, connect LAN or USB cable.Click the new APSIN icon on your
Windows desktop. The GUI will detect your APSIN device which may take a moment.
