1. THIS PRODUCT CANNOT REPLACE
RESPONSIBLE ADULT SUPERVISION. This product
is designed to aid in the monitoring of your child.
When using the monitor, you must still provide the
supervision necessary for the continued safety
of your child. Monitoring of premature babies,
or those considered to be at risk, should always
be carried out under the supervision of a health
professional. This monitor SHOULD NOT be used
as a medical device, nor as a device to prevent
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
2. ALWAYS be sure to immediately check on baby
whenever an alarm sounds.
3. DO NOT use monitor near water (such as bath
tub, sink, etc.).

and assembling the product and keep small parts

7. When using the monitor, the room temperature
should be between 10°C and 40°C.
BATTERY WARNING
8. The Sensor Pad battery is a replaceable Lithium
battery. Only use the Angelcare®recommended
replacement battery. Danger of explosion if the
wrong battery is used or if replaced incorrectly.
Refer to your user manual for correct battery
installation. DO NOT short circuit supply terminals.
Remove the battery from your Sensor Pad if
product is to be stored for an extended period
of time. Dispose of batteries according to your
local ordinances. ALWAYS keep all batteries away
from children.
9. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
9.1 Heed all warnings – All warnings on the
product and in the operating instructions should
be adhered to.
9.2 Follow all instructions – All operating and use
instructions should be followed.
9.3 Water and moisture - DO NOT use this
apparatus near water. For example, near a bath
tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet
environment or near a swimming pool and the like.
Care should be taken so that objects DO NOT fall
onto units and that liquids are not spilled into the
Sensor Pad through its openings.
9.4 Cleaning - Disconnect all units before cleaning.
DO NOT immerse in water any part of the monitor.
Clean only with dry cloth.
9.5 Ventilation - DO NOT block any ventilation
openings. Allow for proper ventilation when units
are in use.
9.6 Heat sources - DO NOT install near any heat
sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves,
TVs or other apparatus (including amplifiers)
that produce heat. Heat can damage the case or
electrical parts.
9.7 Accessories - Only use attachments/
accessories specified by the manufacturer.
DO NOT place this product on an unstable cart,
stand, tripod, bracket or table. The product may
fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and
serious damage to the product. Use ONLY with a
cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended
by the manufacturer or sold with the product.
Any mounting of the product should follow the
manufacturer’s instructions.
9.8 Unplug this appliance during lightning storms
or when not used for long periods of time.
9.9 Servicing - DO NOT attempt to service
this product yourself as opening or removing
covers (except battery door) may expose you to
dangerous voltage or other hazards.
9.10 Replacement parts - When replacement
parts are required, be sure the replacement parts
specified by the manufacturer have the same
characteristic as the original part. Unauthorized
substitution may result in fire, electric shock or
other hazards.
9.11 Usage - This baby monitor is intended as an
aid. It is NOT a substitute for responsible and
proper adult supervision and should not be used
as such. Use this appliance ONLY for its intended
use as described in this manual.
9.12 Power Sources - Operate this product only
from the type of power source indicated on the
type plate of the adaptor. If you are unsure of the
type of power supply to your home, consult your
dealer or local power company.
9.13 Object and Liquid Entry - NEVER push objects
of any kind into this product through casing slots
as they may touch dangerous voltage points or
short out parts that could result in a risk of fire
or electric shock. NEVER spill liquid of any kind
on the product.
9.14 Antenna - The antenna used for this
transmitter must be installed to provide a
separation distance of at least 20 cm from all
persons and must not be collocated or operating in
conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
9.15 Power Lines - An outside antenna system
should NOT be located in the vicinity of overhead
power lines or other electric light or power circuit,
or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits
as contact with them may be fatal.
9.16 Vibration Source - When the monitor is
in use, DO NOT use a cot mobile or other cot
accessories that may produce vibrations. Other
sources of vibrations may include fans, washing
machines, loud music, etc. These sources of
vibration may interfere with the performance of
your Angelcare®monitor and the alarm will not

sound if it continues to detect any movement
other than your baby’s. Be sure all vibration
sources are eliminated before using the monitor.
You may experience false alarms for several reasons.
The most common reason is the Camera has not
been turned OFF after you have removed your baby
from the cot. Another reason is the Sensor Pad
has not been placed under the mattress properly.
Be sure the Sensor Pad is on a flat, firm surface
with the Angelcare®logo side facing up. The
sensitivity level may also need to be adjusted.
Refer to Step 2.4. Always be sure to immediately
check on baby whenever an alarm sounds.
9.17 Sensor Pad - Your Sensor Pad can be used
in any cot that is stationary. If the cot has a
spring or slat base, place a hard board between
the cot base and the Sensor Pad measuring at
least 33 x 33 cm and 6 mm thick. Only use your
Angelcare®monitor in a stationary sleeping
environment such as a cot where the Sensor
Pad can rest on a completely flat, firm surface.
The Sensor Pad is made of plastic and does not
permit the air to circulate. Therefore, mildew
build up could develop underneath the mattress
in the Sensor Pad area. We suggest rotating
the mattress regularly to prevent any mildew.
10. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
RELATED TO USE OF BATTERIES
10.1 Use ONLY the type and size of battery
specified in the owner’s manual. There is a risk
of explosion if battery is replaced with an incorrect
type.
10.2 DO NOT dispose batteries in fire. They may
explode. Check with local regulations for possible
special disposal instructions.
10.3 Exercise care in handling batteries in order
not to short out the batteries with conducting
materials such as rings, bracelets and keys.
Overcharging, short circuiting, reverse charging,
mutilation, or incineration of batteries must be
avoided to prevent one or more of the following
occurrences: release of toxic materials, release of
hydrogen and/or oxygen, gas and rise in surface
temperature.
10.4 DO NOT attempt to rejuvenate the battery
provided with or identified for use with this
product by heating them. Sudden release of
battery electrolyte may occur, causing burns or
irritation to eyes or skin.
10.5 If and when necessary, the battery must be
replaced with identical new ones or equivalent
(volts and size).
10.6 Reverse polarity installation of the batteries
in the end product must be avoided. Reverse
insertion of batteries can cause charging, and
that may result in leakage or explosion.
10.7 Remove the battery from the Sensor Pad
if you store the product over 30 days because
the battery could leak and damage the product.
10.8 Discard ‘dead’ batteries as soon as possible
since ‘dead’ batteries are more likely to leak in a
product. If a battery has leaked or vented, it should
be replaced immediately using protective gloves.
10.9 DO NOT store this product, or the battery
provided with or identified for use with this
product, in high-temperature areas.

equipment not expressly approved by the party
responsible for compliance could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.
11.2 NOTE: This equipment has been tested
and found to comply with part 15 of the FCC
Rules and the Industry Canada license-exempt
RSS standard(s). These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used
in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications.
11.3 However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which
can be determined by turning the equipment OFF
and ON, the user is encouraged to try to correct
the interference by one or more of the following
measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment
and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a
circuit different from that to which the receiver
is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV
technician for help.
11.4 This device complies with the part 15 of the

STEP 1 - POSITIONING THE MOVEMENT SENSOR PAD
1.1 - POWERING THE MOVEMENT SENSOR PAD
When using the Sensor Pad for the first time, you will need to insert the provided
CR3032 battery.
1) Remove the battery cover
using a coin. Turn in the
direction of the arrow.
2) Place the included
battery (CR3032) in the
compartment.
Note: The + symbol should
be facing up.
3) Replace the battery cover
(the two dots will line up).
The Sensor Pad is now ON.
4) Verify the wireless Sensor
Pad icon is on the status
bar of your Parent Unit.

1.2 - SELECT A LOCATION FOR THE SENSOR PAD
Place the

1.3 - INSTALL THE SENSOR PAD ON THE MATTRESS SUPPORT
IMPORTANT
If your cot does not have a solid, stable surface for the Sensor Pad, you will
need to place a support under it, to ensure correct operation of the system.
This hardboard support should be at least 6 mm thick and should have
minimum dimensions of 33 cm x 33 cm. This support board must be larger
than the Sensor Pad surface area.
The Sensor Pad functions with any size and type of mattress except
memory-foam mattresses, hollow frame mattresses and water beds. The
hardboard maintains a constant pressure on the Sensor Pad, enabling it to
detect the baby’s movements even when the baby is at the edges of the cot.

• Discontinue used of the Sensor Pad when child is older than 24 months.
Remove Sensor Pad from cot and store for future use.
• BEFORE FIRST TIME USE: To test that the unit is ready for use, refer to instruction
manual on how to test that the installation has been done correctly.

2.1 - PAIRING THE SENSOR PAD
Your Sensor Pad needs to be paired to the Parent Unit. Follow the steps below
to add it to the system.

2.2 - TO ACTIVATE THE SENSOR PAD

activate the Sensor Pad (the toggle
button will turn blue).

TO TEST THE SENSOR PAD:
IMPORTANT
• Test your monitor before first use.
• Test your monitor regularly to ensure it is functioning correctly.
• Test your monitor every time you move the Sensor Pad to a different place.
1) After activating the Sensor Pad, the alarm
should go OFF after 20 seconds.
2) Rub you hand over the mattress and confirm
the alarm stops.
MOVEMENT ALARM
• Alarm activates when no
movement is detected by the
Sensor Pad for 20 seconds.
• Both the Parent Unit and the
Camera speakers will emit
warning sound.
• Movement Alarm icon will show
on the LCD screen.
IF THE ALARM DOES NOT SOUND
• Avoid contact with the cot while
Sensor Pad is in operation.
• Place the cot near a supporting wall to
reduce vibrations.
• Adjust the Sensor Pad sensitivity level.
• Turn OFF cot mobile, fans, loud music
or anything else that may cause
vibration.
2.3 - PAUSING AND RESTARTING THE SENSOR PAD
Allows you to pause the Sensor Pad if you remove baby from the cot, e.g. for feeding or
comforting.

IMPORTANT
• If you do not pause the Sensor Pad, the alarm will sound if there is no movement after
20 seconds.
• Ensure to unpause the Sensor Pad before putting baby in the cot.
2.4 - ADJUST THE SENSOR PAD SENSITIVITY LEVEL
To ensure adequate monitoring of your child’s movements, you can adjust the sensitivity of the
Sensor Pad in the main settings menu. Set a high sensitivity for a newborn and a lower sensitivity
as the child grows and gains weight. A thicker mattress will also need a higher sensitivity.

2.5 - MOVEMENT MONITORING
Activity analysis tracking give you insight into your little one’s activity level during
sleep, helping you to better adapt routines and respond to their needs. The movement
monitoring records data every ten seconds. Three times every hour the system compiles
the collected data and a “movement activity report” can be viewed on the Parent Unit.
TO TURN ON MOVEMENT MONITORING:
IMPORTANT
Before turning ON the movement monitoring, ensure you have set the date and time. Please
refer STEP 5.4 and 5.5 of the instruction manual included with your monitor.
The graphing function is not available during the first 20 minutes of use as the system is
collecting the first set of data that will be displayed. During this time, the graphing icon
will not be operational.

• If your Sensor Pad becomes un-paired from your Parent Unit refer to STEP 2.1.
FALSE ALARMS
• Turn OFF the Camera.
• Make sure there is no bedding between the mattress and the Sensor Pad.
• If the cot has a spring or slat base, place a hardboard between the cot base and the Sensor Pad
measuring at least 33 cm x 33 cm x 6 mm in thick.
• Make sure the Sensor Pad is positioned as described under the setup requirements. Sensitivity
may need to be adjusted.
ALARM WILL NOT SOUND
• Avoid contact with the cot when the monitor is ON.
• Place cot near a solid supporting wall to avoid Sensor Pad from detecting movement from outside the cot.
• You may need to decrease the sensitivity.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Angelcare®warrants to the original owner of this
product that Angelcare®monitor is free from any
material and workmanship defects for the term of
the warranty period (see warranty table below to
determine the warranty for your country). If this
monitoring system fails to function properly when
used as directed under normal conditions and during
the warranty period, Angelcare®will either repair or
replace the product, at our discretion, free of charge.
Please contact your local distributor to validate
warranty and warranty period.
The product must be accompanied by a proof
of purchase, either a bill of sale or other proof
that the monitoring system is within the warranty
period. Angelcare®will bear the cost of repairing or
replacing the product and shipping it back to you.
This warranty does not apply to a product which
has been damaged as a result of improper
maintenance, an accident, improper voltage
supply or any other form of misuse. The warranty
is also void if the owner repairs or modifies the
product in any way. Angelcare®is not liable for
any incidental or consequential damages with
regard to this product. The warranty also excludes
any liability other than what is stated above. No
other warranty is given.
This warranty does not cover products and
accessories which are not Angelcare-branded, or
any problems that result from usage that is not
in accordance with product instructions, failure
to follow the product instructions, or problems
caused by using accessories, parts or components
not supplied by Angelcare.

9.3 Eau et humidité– N’UTILISEZ PAS cet appareil
près de l’eau (p.ex. près d’un bain, d’un lavabo,
d’un évier, d’un bac à laver, dans un endroit
humide, près d’une piscine). Veillez à ce qu’aucun
objet NE TOMBE sur les unités et qu’aucun liquide
ne s’infiltre dans les orifices des unités ou du
détecteur de mouvements.
9.4 Nettoyage – Débranchez toutes les unités
avant de les nettoyer. N’immergez AUCUNE
partie du moniteur. Nettoyez-les seulement avec
un linge sec.
9.5 Aération – N’OBSTRUEZ PAS les orifices
d’aération. Assurez-vous que la circulation de
l’air est adéquate lorsque les unités sont utilisées.
9.6 Sources de chaleur – N’INSTALLEZ PAS les
unités près de sources de chaleur, notamment
des radiateurs, des bouches d’air chaud, des
cuisinières, des télévisions ou de tout autre
appareil (y compris les amplificateurs) qui dégage
de la chaleur. La chaleur peut endommager les
boîtiers ou les pièces électriques.
9.7 Accessoires– N’utilisez que les accessoires
précisés par le fabricant. NE PLACEZ PAS le produit
sur une table, un chariot, un trépied ou un support
dont l’équilibre est précaire. Le produit pourrait
tomber et causer de graves blessures à un enfant
ou un adulte, et être sérieusement endommagé.
Utilisez le produit UNIQUEMENT avec une table,
un chariot, un trépied ou un support avec lequel il
est vendu ou qui est recommandé par le fabricant.
Tout assemblage du produit doit être fait selon

9.8 Débranchez l’appareil pendant les orages
ou lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé pendant de longues

9.13 Introduction de liquides ou d’objets –
N’INTRODUISEZ JAMAIS d’objet dans les fentes
du boîtier, car il pourrait toucher à des points sous
tension dangereux ou causer des court-circuits
sur certaines pièces, ce qui vous exposerait à des
risques d’incendie ou d’électrocution. Ne JAMAIS
verser aucun liquide sur le produit.
9.14 Antenne – L’antenne utilisée pour cet
émetteur doit se trouver à une distance d’au moins
20cm de toute personne et ne doit être installée
ou utilisée avec aucune autre antenne ni aucun
autre émetteur.
9.15 Lignes électriques– Une antenne extérieure
NE DOIT PAS se trouver près de lignes électriques
aériennes, d’une source d’éclairage ou d’un circuit
électrique, ou dans un endroit où elle pourrait
tomber sur ces lignes ou circuits électriques, car
leur contact pourrait être mortel.
9.16 Sources de vibration– Lorsque le moniteur est
en fonction, n’utilisez PAS un mobile ou d’autres
accessoires qui pourraient produire des vibrations
dans le lit du bébé. D’autres sources de vibration
peuvent comprendre des ventilateurs, des
lessiveuses, de la musique forte, etc. Ces sources
de vibration peuvent gêner le fonctionnement de
votre moniteur Angelcare®, et l’alarme pourrait ne
pas sonner si elle détecte des mouvements autres
que ceux de votre bébé. Assurez-vous d’éliminer
toutes les sources de vibration avant d’utiliser le
moniteur. De fausses alarmes peuvent se faire
entendre pour plusieurs raisons. La raison la plus
courante est que la caméra n’a pas été ÉTEINTE
après que vous avez retiré votre bébé du lit. Une
autre raison pourrait être que le détecteur de
mouvements n’a pas été placé correctement
sous le matelas. Assurez-vous que le détecteur
de mouvements repose sur une surface rigide et
plane avec le côté affichant le logo Angelcare®vers
le haut. Le niveau de sensibilité pourrait également
nécessiter un réglage. Reportez-vous à l’Étape 2.4.
Assurez-vous toujours d’aller immédiatement jeter
un coup d’oeil sur le bébé lorsqu’une alarme sonne.
9.17 Détecteur de mouvements– Votre détecteur
de mouvements peut servir dans tout lit
stationnaire. Si le lit est muni d’une base à lattes ou
à ressorts, placez une planche en bois mesurant au
moins 33cm x 33cm et d’une épaisseur de 6mm
entre la base du lit et le détecteur de mouvements.
Le moniteur Angelcare®ne doit servir que dans un
environnement de sommeil stationnaire, tel qu’un
lit, de manière à ce que le détecteur de mouvements
puisse reposer sur une surface tout à fait plane et
rigide. Le détecteur de mouvements est fait de
plastique et ne permet pas à l’air de circuler. De la
moisissure pourrait se développer sous le matelas,
dans la zone du détecteur de mouvements. Afin
de prévenir l’apparition de moisissure, nous vous
suggérons de retourner le matelas régulièrement.
10. INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ IMPORTANTES
CONCERNANT L’UTILISATION DES PILES
10.1 Utilisez UNIQUEMENT une pile de grosseur
et de type précisés dans le présent manuel de
l’utilisateur. Il y a risque d’explosion si la pile est
remplacée par le mauvais type de pile.
10.2 NE JETEZ PAS les piles dans le feu. Elles
pourraient exploser. Vérifiez les règlements en
vigueur dans votre localité pour connaître la façon
de vous en défaire.
10.3 Soyez vigilants lorsque vous manipulez des
piles afin d’éviter de causer tout court-circuit avec
tout objet conducteur d’électricité (p.ex. bagues,
bracelets, clés). Évitez de surcharger les piles, de
les mettre en court-circuit, d’en inverser la polarité
lorsque vous les rechargez, de les endommager
et de les incinérer afin d’éviter au moins l’un des
effets suivants : rejet de substances toxiques,
émanation d’hydrogène ou d’oxygène, et hausse
de la température en surface.
10.4 Ne tentez PAS de remettre à neuf la pile
fournie avec l’appareil ou identifiée pour être
utilisée avec ce produit, en la chauffant. Un
déversement soudain de l’électrolyte de la pile
pourrait se produire, causant des brûlures, ou des
irritations aux yeux ou sur la peau.
10.5 Si nécessaire, la pile doit être remplacée
par une pile identique neuve ou équivalente (en
voltage et en grosseur).
10.6 Évitez d’installer la pile en inversant les
polarités. L’insertion inversée des piles peut
provoquer une électrisation qui pourrait entraîner
une fuite ou une explosion.
10.7 Retirez la pile du produit si vous rangez l’unité
des parents pendant plus de 30jours, car la pile
pourrait couler et endommager le produit.
10.8 Jetez les piles qui ne sont plus bonnes dès
que possible, car ces piles sont plus susceptibles
de couler dans un appareil. Si une pile a coulé ou
est percée, il faut la remplacer immédiatement,
en utilisant des gants de protection.
10.9 Ne rangez PAS ce produit ou la pile fournie
avec l’appareil ou identifiée pour être utilisée avec
ce produit, dans une zone de température élevée.

IMPORTANT
Si votre lit ne dispose pas d’une surface solide et stable pour le détecteur
de mouvements, vous devrez positionner dessous un support de manière à
assurer le fonctionnement approprié du système.
Cette planche en bois servant de support doit présenter une épaisseur d’au
moins 6mm et mesurer au moins 33cm x 33cm. La superficie de cette
planche de support doit être supérieure à celle du détecteur de mouvements.
Le détecteur de mouvements fonctionne quels que soient la taille du lit et le
type de matelas, à l’exception des matelas à mousse mémoire, des matelas à
structure vide et des matelas d’eau. La planche en bois maintient une pression
constante sur le détecteur de mouvements, ce qui lui permet de détecter les
mouvements du bébé, même lorsque le bébé se trouve aux rebords du lit.
