IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:
1.Please read all instructions before operating and retain for future reference.
2.Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating
label on the toaster.
3.Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
4.To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or any part of the
toaster in water or other liquid.
5.This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
6.Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
7.Unplug unit from mains power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
8.For electrical safety, if the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
qualified electrical person in order to avoid a hazard, or the product must be
disposed of.
9.Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces. Allow
the appliance to cool before wrapping cord around base for storage.
10.Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11.Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use. Do not use outdoors.
12.Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
13.Do not use the toaster without the slide out crumb tray in place. The crumb tray
should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow crumbs to build up in the tray.
IMPORTANT! Do not use this appliance with any food product containing
sugar content or with products containing jam or preserves.
14.Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted in the toaster
as they may cause fire or electric shock.
CAUTION: The bread may burn, therefore toaster must not be used near or
below curtains and other combustible materials. The toaster should be
attended when in use.
15.The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
WARNING! Electric Shock Hazard. Do not attempt to dislodge food when
toaster is in use or connected to mains power.

16.Be sure to take the bread out carefully after toasting to avoid injuries from hot
surfaces.
WARNING! When toasting small bread slices less than 85mm length, you
must pay attention to the potential risk of burning when taking out the slices.
17.The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
18.Always unplug the appliance from mains power when not in use and before
cleaning.
19.To disconnect, push the CANCEL button, then remove plug from wall socket.
20.If a slice of bread gets stuck inside the toaster, unplug the appliance first and let
it cool down before you try to remove the bread. DO NOT use a knife or a sharp
tool, as these may cause damage to the heating element.
21.This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such
as:
–Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
–Farm houses;
–By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
–Bed and breakfast type environments.
22.When using this appliance, allow adequate air space above and on all slides for
air circulation. Do not allow this appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings,
clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use. CAUTION is
required when the toaster is placed on surfaces where heat may cause a
problem, i.e. Laminated / Vinyl bench tops. Use of an insulated heat pad is
recommended.
23.Allow the toaster to cool down completely before removing the glass panel.
24.External metal and glass surfaces are liable to get hot especially the top area
and removable glass panel.
25.Do not move the toaster whilst it is in operation.
26.To prevent damage to the glass panel avoid contact with hard surfaces and
objects.
IMPORTANT! Do not use if the glass panel has been damaged, i.e. cracked or
chipped.
27.Misuse of your appliance can result in injury.
28.Wipe the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth, then dry. Do not use
abrasives.

WARNING!
Never operate toaster on its side. To prevent damage to the toaster, DO NOT
toast with extremely runny ingredients such as butter, jam and other sugary
ingredients. Adding any food substances to bread, muffins or crumpets can
cause an electric shock and / or fire. This toaster is for toasting bread,
crumpets and muffins only.

FOR THE FIRST USE
Manufacturing residue or oil remained in the toaster heating element may emit an
odour when used for the first time, this is normal and will disappear after few minutes
of use. When using for the first time, we suggest following the below steps under
the heading USING YOUR TOASTER, except without bread. Then let the toaster
cool down and begin toasting the first slice.
CAUTION: The bread may burn, therefore toaster must not be used near or
below curtains and other combustible materials. The toaster should be
attended when in use.
USING YOUR TOASTER
Important: Never let the toaster operate unattended.
Important: Do not operate the toaster without the crumb tray.
Important: Never use the appliance when it is empty (when there is no bread inside)
except on first use.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to use the toaster without the glass panel. Do not
use if the glass panel has been damaged, i.e. cracked or chipped.
Toasting
1. Unwind the power cable to the required length and plug it in.
2. Use the Selector (6) to set the required toasting level between 1 and 6. For a
medium, golden brown, select level 3-4.
3. Place the bread to be toasted in the Toasting slot (1).
4. Press the Push-down lever (2) down until it locks. The LED on the CANCEL
button (5) will illuminate.
5. Toasting ends when the bread being toasted is pops up. The LED on the CANCEL
button (5) will go off.
6. Your toast will pop up automatically. To raise it higher, lift the lever.
Note: The toasting can be interrupted at any time by pressing the CANCEL
button (5).
Note: The Push-down lever (2) will not stay down unless the toaster is plugged
in.
Tip: If you toast only one slice of bread, set the toasting level lower than you would
normally use for two slices.
Tip: The Push-down lever (2) can be lifted manually, so smaller items can be
easily removed from the Toasting slot (1).

Reheating cold bread or toast
1. Insert the cold bread that has popped up but gone cold.
2. Press the push-down lever (2) down until it locks. The LED on the CANCEL
button (5) will illuminate.
3. Press the REHEAT button (3). The LED on the REHEAT button (3) will illuminate.
Toasting frozen bread
1. Select normal degree of toasting.
2. Insert the frozen bread to be toasted.
3. Press the push-down lever (2) down until it locks. The LED on the CANCEL
button (5) will illuminate.
4. Press the DEFROST button (4). The LED on the DEFROST button (4) will
illuminate.
Caution
1. Remove all protective wrappings prior to toasting.
2. If toaster starts to smoke, press CANCEL button (5) to stop toasting immediately.
3. Avoid toasting food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter, jam, etc.
4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the
toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal
mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
5. The bread slot is for toasting regular bread slice.
6. To achieve uniform toast colour, we recommend that you wait a minimum of 30s
between each toasting time so that browning colour control can reset
automatically.
Crumbs
Crumbs will collect in the base of the toaster. Letting them build up can cause
a fire hazard so it is important to remove them frequently.
1. Switch off the power and remove the plug from the wall power outlet.
2. Slide out the Crumb tray(10) and empty out the crumbs.
3. Wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth, Do not dishwash the crumb tray.
4. Dry thoroughly before sliding back into the base of the toaster.
Glass Panel
The inner side of glass panel may require occasional cleaning.
1. Disconnect the appliance from mains power outlet and let the appliance cool
down completely.

2. Lay the toaster on its back.
3. Slide the latch (9) to the “open” position to unlock and slide out the Glass
panel (8) from the toaster bottom.
4. Wash Glass panel (8) in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
5. Replace the Glass panel (8) back into the toaster bottom and Slide the latch
(9) to the “LOCK” position to lock.
Note: the toaster will not operate if the glass panel (8) is not fitted and
locked correctly.
Heating tubes
1. To prevent damage, do not touch or wipe the heating tubes.
2. Any loose crumbs found under the heating tube should be cleared by gently
shaking the toaster and allowing it to drop into the crumb tray.
Care and cleaning
1. Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from mains power outlet and let
the appliance cool down completely.
2. Pull out crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster and empty it. If the toaster is
used frequently, accumulated bread crumbs should be removed at least once
a week. Make sure the crumb tray is completely closed before using the
toaster again.
3. Wipe the outside of the toaster with a slightly dampened cloth and polish with
a soft dry cloth.
4. Do not immerse the toaster in water or other liquids.
5. When not in use or during storage, the power cord may be wound under the
bottom of toaster.
WARNING! Fire Hazard. The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Do not
allow breadcrumbs to accumulate in the bottom of the toaster.

instructions where provided. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the
Australian Consumer Law.
Kmart will provide you with your choice of a refund, repair or exchange (where
possible) for this product if it becomes defective within the warranty period. Kmart
will bear the reasonable expense of claiming the warranty. This warranty will no
longer apply where the defect is a result of alteration, accident, misuse, abuse or
neglect.

via Customer Help at Kmart.com.au for any difficulties with your product. Warranty
claims and claims for expense incurred in returning this product can be addressed

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also
entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
For New Zealand customers, this warranty is in addition to statutory rights observed
under New Zealand legislation.
