Apacer AM700 Mini OTG Card Reader
Thank you for purchasing Apacer AM700 3-in-1 USB OTG
(on-the-go) card reader. This document will provide instructions of
how to use this exciting product properly. Please be aware of the
following before you proceed.
1. This device is primarily made for USB OTG (On-The-Go) functions. Please check
if your smartphone/tablet supports this standard. If you are uncertain about
whether your device supports OTG or not, please consult with the place where
you purchased your smartphone/tablet.
2. This quick start guide is intended for Android system users only. This device is not
workable on iOS products.

File Sharing & Playback via Smartphone/Tablet
1. When AM700 is connected to an Android smartphone or tablet as
shown in the image below, users may just plug SD card, microSD
card or USB memory device onto corresponding ports of AM700.
Note: it is strongly recommended to plug and use one memory device and its
port at a time.
2. Some smartphones or tablets come with built in file managing
App. If your device is not built with such Apps, please download
“Apacer FileBridge”from Google Play. This is a convenient and free
file managing tool developed exclusively for Apacer USB OTG
devices.

Once properly installed, the App will always detect and a dialogue
box will pop up when your smartphone/tablet is connected with a
USB OTG device.
3. For detailed usages of the App, please refer to the Apacer
FileBridge App user manual.

External Devices and Power Supply
Apacer AM700 can function like a hub for external devices and
additional power input.
DC IN 5V: As illustrated below, the DC IN 5V USB port of AM700
is used for additional power supply, such as USB mobile power bank.
This will provide adequate power supply to the devices connected to
the USB port. As illustrated below, the USB hub is connected to
AM700 for external device connection that may require adequate
power current. Please note that the connected smartphone/tablet is
NOT being charged and this DC IN 5V Micro USB port does NOT
support file access.
USB port: The standard USB port can be connected to a USB hub
for multiple USB devices connections. Users may connect AM700
with USB-interfaced keyboard, mouse or portable hard drive, or
other types of devices, as long as proper connections are established
via the correct use of cables.
Notes:
1. For connection with additional devices or power supply,
USB-to-USB or USB-to-Micro USB cables are necessary, but

additional cables are not provided in this product package.
2. The DC IN 5V port functions as connection for external power
source for devices running on the standard USB port. It neither
provides power charge for the smartphone/tablet, nor allows
read/write files.
3. Devices with USB3.0 interface are applicable in this scenario,
but the transfer speed remains at USB2.0 standard.
4. Please note that not all smartphone/tablet can detect all the
connected devices. Some might only be able to detect one
connected device at a time.
LED Indicator
ApacerAM700 comes with LED indicator for device activities.
- Green: AM700 is properly connected to a smartphone/tablet.
- Blue: accessing files
File Sharing & Playback via a Desktop/Laptop
Since AM700 is built with a micro USB connector, which is not
commonly found on a desktop/laptop computers, users may need a
standard USB adapter.
Notes: standard USB adapter is not included in this product package.
