Quick Start Guide –HV_Pro
This document is just a quick guide to get you up and running with the HV_Pro as soon
as possible.

Before Power Up
ESC Configurator Tool:
1. Please scan QR code on box, or visit http://github.com/AdvancedPowerDrives to find the
configuration tool you need to setup your HV_Pro.
2. Connect the HV_Pro to a Windows computer via the micro-USB cable to ensure the latest
firmware is installed and adjust the settings to your preferences.
Now you’re ready to start putting your system together! On the underside of the
controller, and in the picture below you will find the wiring diagram you need to start
soldering.
Wiring
1. We strongly advise you use high flex, high temperature silicone cables for your power
cables, for maximum performance and reliability. 8GA, 10GA, 12GA is recommended.
2. For configurations where the input leads are more than 1 meter from the battery, we
recommend the use of a local capacitor bank to reduce input voltage ripple. **
3. Once cabling is complete, ensure the ESC is installed in an area where it can be actively
cooled.
** Input voltage ripple must be managed to a maximum of +/-5%. Increased input lead
length, will require extra capacitance local to the ESC.

Assembly Instructions
When soldering cables to your HV_Pro, use the following pictures as a guide:

Warranty
Your HV_Pro unit comes with a 12 month replacement warranty for any and all manufacturing
faults and failures.
Any goods modified from their original form, will void warranty. We will replace/repair items after
inspection. Any items that have evidence of damage or misuse including crash damage, reverse
polarity, incorrect installation or incorrect operation will void warranty.
