RSV4
FACTORY THE
SUPER
BIKE
IS
BACK.
RSV4
SUPERBIKE
RSV4
FACTORY
ONCE YOU ARE OFF AT MAXIMUM SPEED AROUND
THE TRACK, EACH LAP, SECOND AND THRILL
ARE NEVER EVER THE SAME. THIS IS WHAT IT IS
LIKE FOR ANYONE WHO REALLY KNOWS WHAT
PASSION, COMPETITION AND ADRENALINE ARE
LIKE AS THEY GO FROM THE ENGINE TO YOUR
HEART. THAT IS WHAT IT IS LIKE FOR APRILIA,
A MOTORCYCLE MYTH THAT RETURNS TO THE
SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS:
TO REVOLUTIONISE IT ALTOGETHER!
With all the drive of Max Biaggi and Shinya Nakano,
with all the power and efficiency of an extraordinary
bike, developed entirely by the Aprilia R&D in close
collaboration with the Racing Department.
Why don’t you join this world and achieve goals that
only yesterday were unimaginable, together with RSV4
Factory. The first Aprilia 4-cylinder bike, a real Replica
Super-bike on the market. Unique engine, electronics,
compactness, design and uniquely light.
It is roaring to go and made to win!
A GREAT
COME BACK,
A HUGE
REVOLUTION.

PERFORMANCE
V4
65°
THE REVOLUTION OF RSV4 FACTORY STARTS WITH ITS HEART: YOU CAN HEAR FROM THE
POWERFUL ROAR OF ITS 65° V-4 CYLINDERS ENGINE, YOU CAN SEE IT IN ITS FANTASTIC
PERFORMANCE ON THE RACING CIRCUIT. THE 65° V-4 ENGINE IS, IN FACT, THE MOST
REVOLUTIONARY AND, AT THE SAME TIME, THE MOST POWERFUL ENGINE APRILIA HAS EVER MADE.
With its “narrow” V-layout, a compact
engine has been created comparable
to a twin cylinder, fitting perfectly into
the chassis which, together with very
over square cylinder configurations,
are all to the advantage of power and
torque performance. Fewer vibrations
thanks to a balancing countershaft
which makes it vibrate less than a
4 in-line cylinder. By using extra light
materials, such as magnesium, its
overall weight has also been reduced.
TIMING SYSTEM AND
BALANCING COUNTERSHAFT
CUTTING EDGE ELECTRONICS
In the 65°V-4 engine, the very best mechanical
engineering, designing and engine construction made
for racing is put together with cutting edge electronics.
The Ride-by-Wire Multimap technology opens practically
infinite possibilities in controlling delivery and it is even
possible to change the bike’s “character” by selecting
one of the available mappings on the handlebar:
T - TRACK: no compromising on the track.
180HP at minimum opening of the throttle valve.
S - SPORT: fun on the road.
Electronically controlled fluid delivery.
R - ROAD: enjoyable under any condition.
Power moderated at 140HP.
The Ride-by-Wire technology is coupled with a
sophisticated electronic injection system where
a double injector is used for each cylinder and a
variable height air intake system (which depends
on motor revs) that optimises the torque level
required every second and at every speed.
LOW INTAKE DUCTS
HIGH INTAKE DUCTS THE WINNING
FORMULA.

DESIGN
SINGLE SILENCER
The same level of attention and innovation is found in all the other elements:
like the compact single silencer, whose shape is designed to increase the space
between the bike and asphalt, also during the tightest of bends.
BOARD COMPUTER
Ultra compact and advanced technology also for the instrument panel.
The mixed (digital and analogue) type instrument panel receives all the
information from the CAN line turning into a real self-diagnostic system for the
vehicle. All functions are controlled by the “Mode” control on the handlebar.
RSV4 FACTORY’S IRRESISTIBILITY CAN BE PUT DOWN TO THE FACT
THAT IT HAS BEEN DESIGNED WITH ITS APPEARANCE COMING
SECOND IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE. THIS BECAUSE IT WAS
CREATED FOR THE WORLD OF COMPETITIONS WHERE EVERY INCH,
EVERY OUNCE AND EVERY THOUSANDTH OF A SECOND COUNT.
A BIKE AS COMPACT AND AS EFFICIENT AS THIS ONE HAS NEVER
BEEN SEEN BEFORE: THAT’S WHY IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL.
THE SHAPE
OF PERFORMANCE.
The chassis and engine are an integral part of the bike’s
design together with just a few other highly influential
elements, designed looking at the track all the time and
modelled in the wind gallery.
Search for optimum engine breathing and the highest
aerodynamic levels has led to the creation of a
completely unique front with large air intakes for the
airbox, lights that outline the edge of the top fairing
and with the turn indicators integrated in the rear-view
mirrors. The spectacular tail fairing offers excellent LED
luminosity, minimising the surface while increasing the
bike’s aerodynamic efficiency.

HANDLING ALUMINIUM FRAME
The aluminium frame is state-of-the-art technology for everyone to see,
made with forged and pressed elements in the Aprilia tradition. It boasts a
high level of torsional and flexional rigidity, providing the rider with absolute
control and a perfect feel as he goes into a bend and as he is going
round it. Even the swingarm, the result of Aprilia’s experience in racing
competitions, is a rigid and very light combination of forged and pressed
aluminium elements which provide extreme responsiveness when setting
the multi-adjustable Öhlins Racing suspensions.
GOING BEYOND
PERFECTION.
STEERING DAMPER
Öhlins Racing is also the adjustable
steering damper, perfect stability at high
speeds and millimetric precision when
going into a bend.
IT HAS TAKEN YEARS OF VICTORIOUS COMPETITIONS, NIGHTS
OF PASSION AND WORK IN THE APRILIA RACING DEPARTMENT,
IN-DEPTH STUDIES AND NUMEROUS TESTS TO REACH THE LEVEL
OF CUSTOMISATION OF THE RSV4 FACTORY CHASSIS AS IT IS
TODAY. THE RSV CHASSIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BENCHMARK IN
THE RACING WORLD: BUT EVEN THIS TIME THE APRILIA ENGINEERS
HAVE EXCEEDED THEMSELVES.
A PERFECT BALANCE
An engine as exclusive as the 65° V-4 deserved a perfect position in the
frame, with technical solutions and adjustment possibilities on a par with
a racing prototype. Perfect centralisation of the masses and distribution
of the weights (52% at the front, 48% at the back) has been improved on
still further thanks to the tank position, with fuel mostly under the saddle in
order to optimise balancing between a full and empty tank.
BRAKES READY FOR THE RACE
The front braking system is powerful, precise and modular. Brembo
monoblock “Serie Oro” 4-piston callipers are used with a radial pump, a
dual 320mm disc with asymmetric perforation and an originally designed
aluminium flange. The rear brake has Brembo “Serie Oro” 2-piston callipers
fixed directly on the swingarm with a 220mm disc: the very best available
today on the racing technology scene.
VERY LIGHT RIMS
Another new feature are the forged aluminium rims: their original design
further decreases the weight - approximately 1 kg less than the previous
models - resulting in reduced unsprung mass inertia which improves the
motorcycle’s responsiveness to each touch of the rider.

THE ONLY STANDARD
BIKE THAT FITS
ITSELF ON YOU.
RSV4 FACTORY IS THE FIRST STANDARD FOUR CYLINDER BIKE THAT IS ACTUALLY
“READY FOR THE TRACK”. CREDIT GOES TO A REVOLUTIONARY DESIGNING
PHILOSOPHY OF THE COMPONENTS AND TO THE CUTTING EDGE RACING
TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE TODAY PLUS THE FACT THAT ADJUSTMENTS ARE PRETTY
MUCH INFINITE: TO FIT LIKE A GLOVE FOR DIFFERENT RIDING STYLES AND CIRCUITS.
For the first time on a standard motorcycle, the multi-adjustable suspensions are combined with
the possibility of adjusting the headstock position and rake, the rear end height, the swingarm
pivot height and even the position of the engine. No other bike on the market offers such a
maniacal level of customisation with such ease... and probably no other bike will be able to do
as much in the near future. On Aprilia RSV4 Factory, as soon as you are on the track you are
already in front of everyone else!

CASSETTE TYPE GEARBOX
“Ready for the track” solutions also for the gearbox:
cassette-type. With this expedient the ratios can be
changed quickly and maintenance is simple. The clutch
is equipped with a mechanical slipper system to optimise
engine braking control and stability under hard braking.
