WHAT IS H2O PRESTO?
H20 Presto is an instant filtered-boiling and -chilled water dispenser system. It can be used for the preparation of food
or a vast variety of drinks at the touch of a button.
You may install the H20 Presto wherever there is a mains water supply and a dedicated power point, preferably
beneath a kitchen bench. The H20 Presto dispenses filtered-boiling and -chilled drinking water through a proprietary
faucet mounted over a kitchen sink.
SCOPE
This document contains the installation guidelines and technical requirements for the H20 Presto chilled and boiling
water system. It includes the steps for preparing, siting, installing and operating the H20 Presto. You should ensure
your site meets the technical and space requirements outlined in this document before attempting the installation.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
This document assumes some expertise working with plumbing fixtures inside a building. It also assumes some skills in
working with common tabletop surfaces and cabinets as you may be required to drill into and/or cut into some of
these fixtures.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
A licensed plumber must be appointed to carry out the installation of the H2O Presto in a safe and compliant manner.
Please refer to AS/NZS 3500 national standard for water connection.

RECOMMENDED PLUMBING SUPPLIES
The setup requires an assortment of copper or brass and ¼ inch PVC tubing and plumbing supplies on hand. Below are
some items we recommend for the installation. Additional parts will depend on the site and design of your H2O Presto
system.

DETERMINING A SUITABLE SITE
WARNING
Do NOT install near water jet
The H2O Presto unit is NOT suitable for installation in an area where a water jet could be
used.
A suitable site for your H2O Presto must:
a. be indoors or under a shaded area;
b. be < 1 m from a 240 V 10A wall-mounted socket (non-extended); and
c. be < 1 m from a dedicated mains water and shut-off valve.

DRY FITTING THE H2O PRESTO
Visualise how your H2O Presto should fit underneath a sink or kitchen bench by dry fitting the components in place.
Off-set any S- or P-sink traps underneath a sink as needed.
A good fit should have:
a. the H2O Presto tap position < 80 cm from the outlet of the H2O Presto cabinet unit;
b. all hoses and electric cables from the supplied faucet connected comfortably to the boil/chilling unit without
strain;
c. > 25 mm clearance on all sides of the cabinet unit for ventilation; and
d. may be removed and disconnected easily for on- and off-site servicing.

PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS
WARNING
To prevent leakage and ruptured plumbing:
 The maximum operating water supply pressure for H2O Presto is 350 kPa. The unit
was factory tested to withstand water supply pressure up to 700 kPa. If the water
pressure is higher than 350 kPa, you will need install a pressure limiting valve (PLV).
 Water supply temperature must be between 5-30 ˚C.
 Do not use a hot water mains to supply the H2O Presto water unit.
CHANGING WATER PRESSURE
If the water pressure is higher than 350 kPa, you will need install a pressure limiting valve (PLV). If the water pressure is
too low, you will need to appoint a licensed plumber to increase the building’s water pressure to the above
requirements. Steps on how to change the water pressure of an existing system are outside the scope of this guide.
This should be done by a licensed plumbing professional before the installation.
PLUMBING FITTINGS AND ADAPTION
Every mains water system is different. H2O Presto will only accept a ¼ inch food-grade, plastic, pneumatic hose
connected via a push-to-connect-style connector. Please make sure you have the means to properly adapt your water
mains to this specification.

INSTALLATION
WARNING
Install only in horizontal position
For safe operation, the appliance needs to be placed in a horizontal position.
WARNING
Shut off and release pressure from water mains
Shut off or isolate the water mains before attempting installation. Make sure you release
any remaining water pressure prior to making any incisions on water mains.
WARNING
Water & electrical hazard
Turn off any power outlets close to your site before installation. Water leaking onto
electrical appliances or outlets will cause electric shock and severe injury.

Installation Procedure
1. DrillHole&InstallTap
WARNING
Stone surfaces warning
The cutting of stone work surfaces requires special tools and safety precautions to prevent
dust inhalation. We recommend that you have the holes cut in advance by a professional
before installing onto a stone surface. You may need to remove the surface entirely to
make the cut safely.
1.1. Decide on the tap’s position. 1.2. Check spout radius & position.
1.3. Mark and cut hole with 25 mm hole saw. 1.4.1. Affix the faucet into the hole.

1.4.2. On thin surfaces, reinforce with a thick material. 1.5. Tighten nut with shifting spanner.

2. ConnectWater
Every water system is different; how you connect your water mains to your H2O Presto depends greatly on how your
water mains is configured underneath the sink. However you choose to connect your mains, your design must:
a. be fitted with a shut-off or water isolation valve < 1 m from the unit;
b. have a correctly placed pressure limiting valve (PLV) rated to 350 kPa; and
c. connect to the H2O Presto unit by a push-fit ¼ inch, food-grade, plastic hose.

3. AdaptMainsto¼InchPneumaticHoses
The H2O Presto unit will only accept a ¼ inch pneumatic hose connection into the unit. If your mains are delivered by
15 mm pipes, you will need to adapt them to ¼ inch pneumatic hose connections. Below are some examples:

4. ConnecttheTap
To connect the tap to the unit, place the unit inside the space you have marked previously. Connect the pneumatic
hoses on your H2O Presto faucet to the correctly labelled push-fit connectors. Connect the RJ11 communication wire.

5. ConnectWater&Power
5.1. Measure and cut a ¼ inch pneumatic hose from
mains adaptor to unit
5.2. Insert ¼ inch hose barb push-fit adaptors at both
ends of the hose
5.3. Push and connect one side to mains, and the other
to the unit’s “WATER IN” port
5.4. Plug in 240 V power cable to the 240 V 10 A wall
socket, and make sure the switch is off
NOTICE
Socket Outlet Accessibility
It is important that the H2O Presto be plugged into a socket outlet that is easily accessible
after installation.

OPERATION, SETTINGS & MAINTENANCE
Initialising the H2O Presto
After the installation procedure has been successfully completed, follow these step to initialise your H2O Presto.
1. Install the filter cartridge.
2. Release water mains.
3. Wait for 3 minutes and check for leaks.
4. Supply power to the unit.
5. Ensure the “POWER” light is green.
Operation
You may use your H2O Presto once the “POWER” indicator light of the H2O Presto tap turns green.
1. Push the tab with the blue marker to dispense chilled or ambient temperature water depending on your
model.
2. Push the tab with the red marker AND the black child-proof lock to dispense boiling hot water.
a. You may optionally disable the black child-proof lock.

Boiler Settings & Filter Maintenance
Once your H2O Presto unit is setup, you can start programming certain functions. The front-panel controls feature an
up and down arrow, an OK button, and an X button. The up and down buttons are used to navigate between menus
and functions. The OK button is used to enter into a sub-menu or activate a function. And the X button is used to
cancel the current operation or return to a previous menu.
The following settings are available via the front panel controls:

Set Time 1. Navigate to the “PARAMETER MENU” menu and enter with the OK button.
2. Navigate to the “TIME” menu and press the OK button.
3. Press OK to select the hour portion of the time.
4. Alter the value with the up and down arrows.
5. Press OK to select the minute portion of the time.
6. Alter the value with the up and down arrows.
7. Press OK to store the value.
8. Return to the home screen with two presses of the X button.
Schedule ON/OFF 1. Navigate to the “PARAMETER MENU” menu and enter with the OK button.
2. Navigate to the “SWITCH ON/OFF AT:” menu and press the OK button.
3. Press OK to select the hour portion of the time.
4. Alter the value with the up and down arrows.
5. Press OK to select the minute portion of the time.
6. Alter the value with the up and down arrows.
7. Press OK to store the value.
8. Return to the home screen with two presses of the X button.
Child Lock ON/OFF 1. Navigate to the “PARAMETER MENU” menu and enter with the OK button.
2. Navigate to the “CHILD LOCK” menu and press the OK button.
3. Alter the ON/OFF state with the arrow keys and press OK to confirm.
4. Return to the home screen with two presses of the X button.
Changing the Filter 1. Perform this action when the “FILTER CHANGE” light is illuminated and after you
have replaced the existing filter with a new one.
2. Navigate to the “NEW FILTER” menu and press the OK button.
3. Navigate to the “REPLACE FILTER?” menu and press the OK button.
4. Press the OK button again when prompted with “CONFIRM?”
5. Return to the home screen with two presses of the X button.
