How your
Aquaguard Total Compact
works
Stage 1
The Sediment Filter
The new international 2-in-1 Compact Cartridge combines the sediment filter with
the activated carbon. The water first passes through the sediment filter. Its special
graded density strains out physical impurities for enhanced filtration.
Stage 2
Activated Carbon Chamber
The water then passes through specially treated silver impregnated activated
carbon, which reduces colour, odour, harmful organic chemical impurities and
chlorine. Silver impregnation works as a bacteriostatic.
Stage 3
Ultra Violet Chamber
The next stage is when the water is e-boiled in the UV chamber. Eliminating all
disease-causing bacteria, virus and protozoa, while retaining essential minerals
and nutrients in the water.

Once your drinking water is completely purified, Paani ka Doctor adds one more
benefit - an Intelligent Purity Sensor. This system constantly monitors the purification
process, stopping the flow of water immediately, if the level of purification is not 100%.

Step-by-step guide
to pure drinking water
Fit plug into socket. To switch on the unit, press the 'Power' ( )
switch. The red LED will glow for 5 seconds indicating that the
power is on.
After 5 seconds the yellow LED will glow for 30 seconds, indicating
that the unit is processing the water.
When the green LED glows, you'll hear 3 beeps indicating that the
unit is ready to deliver clear, safe drinking water.
To let the water flow, press the 'Flow' ( )switch. While you fill your
glass you can opt for a pleasant musical tone by pressing music
( ) switch.
If the unit has not been used for a day or two, allow 2-3 glasses of
water to flow out before using the water.
If the unit is not going to be used for more than 3-4 hours,
remember to shut off the main switch and the water supply.

Troubleshooting
In case water does not flow when you switch on the Aquaguard, the red LED will blink
and an alarm will sound. In this circumstance:
• Please check for any disruption in the water supply or main electricity supply to the
Aquaguard. If both are not functioning normally, call the Eureka Forbes Service
Centre.
• In case of low voltage, the yellow LED will blink and you’ll hear a beeping sound.
Switch off the unit till the voltage comes back to normal.
Maintaining your

Tips for a long relationship with your Aquaguard Total Compact.
1. The key word is cleanliness
Keep the area around your Aquaguard Total Compact clean and dry. Keep the
spout clean and close it with the cap provided.
2. Keep the Sediment Filter clean
To ensure that it works well, have it thoroughly cleaned by a Eureka Forbes
service technician during every routine service.
3. Activated Carbon
To ensure that the Activated Carbon works effectively, insist on having it
thoroughly cleaned during every service.

Important Suggestions
When your Aquaguard Total Compact is not in use, please keep the
outlet spout covered with the cap.
Switch off the main switch when your Aquaguard Total Compact will
not be used for more than 3-4 hours.
Store water from your Aquaguard Total Compact in clean containers.
For hygienic reasons it is preferable not to store water for more than
2 days.
We recommend routine check-ups of your Aquaguard Total Compact
at least once in 6 months.
If your Aquaguard Total Compact has not been used for a long time,
allow 2-3 glasses of water to flow out before collecting the water for
use.

Spill water on any panel of your Aquaguard Total Compact as this
may lead to electric shock.
Store water from your Aquaguard Total Compact in matkas and
candle filters, as the water can get recontaminated.
Connect ordinary pipes, tubing to the outlet spout to collect water
from your Aquaguard Total Compact.
Use an extension box for power connection.
Connect hot water supply.
Install your Aquaguard Total Compact close to a gas stove or
cooking range.

Questions you may have
about your Aquaguard
Why does Aquaguard use an Anodised Aluminium Chamber?
Anodising is a special process, which helps in increasing the reflectivity of the UV rays. UV reflectivity
of anodised aluminium is 73% as compared to that of stainless steel, which is only 38%. Enhanced
UV reflectivity means better efficiency. Hence, Aquaguard uses anodised aluminium.
For how long and where should water be stored?
Aquaguard water should be stored in a cool, clean place, preferably in steel or glass containers.
Avoid matkas or filters as they tend to breed bacteria. Ensure that the storage vessels are rinsed with
water from your Aquaguard and the containers are covered with clean lids. For hygienic reasons, it's
preferable to replace the stored water after 2 days.
Does drinking water from an Aquaguard make you lose your natural immunity?
Aquaguard gives you clear, safe drinking water, thus reducing the risk of exposure to water-borne
diseases. It does not affect your body's natural immunity in any way.
Is UV (ultra-violet) light dangerous and is drinking UV treated water harmful?
The Aquaguard ultra-violet chamber is completely enclosed and UV light is not allowed to escape. In
fact, Aquaguard is ISI certified. Moreover, UV light has no residual effect in water and hence it is totally
safe.
Do you need to boil or filter water from an Aquaguard?
Aquaguard is a complete purification system that gives you clear and safe water. There is no need to
boil or filter the water.
Which water purification treatment is most suitable?
This depends largely on the quality of your input water. In most parts of India we have water
contaminated with physical, organic and microbiological impurities. These result in various water-
borne diseases. Aquaguard Compact water purifier effectively handle all the above giving you pure
and safe water. However, if your water contains high levels of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids more than
500 mg/litre which can be measured scientifically with a TDS meter),or the water tastes brackish,
then you need an Aquaguard RO water purifier.
