Zweck dieser Anleitung
Bei Arbeiten in explosionsgefährdeten
Bereichen hängt die Sicherheit von Personen
und Anlagen von der Einhaltung aller
Sicherheitsvorschriften ab.
Das Montage- und Wartungspersonal, das in
solchen Anlagen arbeitet, trägt deshalb eine
besondere Verantwortung. Die Voraus-
setzungen dafür ist die genaue Kenntnis der
geltenden Vorschriften und Bestimmungen.
Diese Anleitung fasst kurz die wichtigsten
Sicherheitsmassnahmen zusammen. Sie ergänzt
die entsprechenden Vorschriften, zu deren
Studium das verantwortliche Personal
verpflichtet ist.

1 Sicherheitshinweise
Verwenden Sie die Geräte nur für den
zugelassenen Einsatzzweck. Fehlerhafter oder
unzulässiger Einsatz schließt eine
Gewährleistung unsererseits aus.
Umbauten und Veränderungen am Gerät, die
den Explosionsschutz beeinträchtigen, sind nicht
gestattet.
Das Gerät darf nur im unbeschädigten und
sauberen Zustand betrieben werden.
Nach Wartungsarbeiten sind die Dichtungen auf
korrekten Einbau zu überprüfen.
Purpose of these instructions
When working in hazardous areas, the safety of
personnel and plant depends on complying with
safety regulations
Assembly and maintenance staff working on
such plant therefore has a particular
responsibility. The prerequisite for this is precise
knowledge of the current rules and regulations.
These instructions summarize the most
important safety measures. They supplement the
corresponding regulations, which the staff
responsible must study.
Subject to alterations

Use the device only for their intended purpose.
Incorrect or impermissible use invalidates our
warranty provision.
Conversions and modifications on the
equipment, which would impair explosion
protection, are not permitted.
Operate the equipment only if it is clean and not
damaged.
The Sealing has to be checked after doing
maintenance work.
Objectif du présent mode d’emploi
Au cours des travaux dans les zones à risque
d’explosion, la sécurité des personnes et des
équipements est liée au respect de toutes les
consignes de sécurité.
Le personnel chargé du montage et de la
maintenance sur ces équipements possède á cet
égard une grande responsabilité et doit connaître
parfaitement les prescriptions et dispositions
légales en vigueur.
Le présent mode d’emploi résume de façon
concise les mesures de sécurité les plus
importantes. Il ne peut en aucun cas se
substituer aux prescriptions correspondantes,
dont l’étude par le personnel responsable
demeure obligatoire.

1 Consignes de sécurité
N’utilisez l’équipement que dans le but prévu et
autorisé. Toute utilisation incorrecte ou interdite
annule notre garantie.
Il est interdit de procéder à des modifications
susceptiles d’entraver la protection
antidéflagrante.
Utiliser uniquement un appareil lorsqu’il est intact
et propre.
La révision des étoupages après ouvrir les
lampes est obligatoire.

Stand der Technik. Sie wurden gem. EN 29001
(ISO 9001) entwickelt, gefertigt und geprüft.

4.1 Befestigung

The explosion-protected Floodlights 1776...
and Ballast Units 1527… are produced in
accordance with the latest state of the art. It was
developed, manufactured and tested in
accordance with EN 29001 (ISO 9001).
The regulations and standards it complies with

This fittings are approved for use in potentially
explosive locations (zone 2) in accordance with

4.1 Fixing
2 Conformité aux normes

correspond á l’état actuel des techniques.
Il a été mis au point, assemblé et homologué
en conformité avec la norme EN 29001
(ISO 9001).
Il satisfait en particulíer les réglementations et
normes suivantes:

Directive 89/336/CEE "Compatibilité électro-
magnétique"
Des appareils est homologué pour être utilisé
dans des environments á risque d’explosion des
zone 2 selon EN 60079.
3 Montage
Des appareils conviennent aussi bien pour
l’intérieur que pour l’extérieur.
Respecter les consignes de montage et de
sécurité: (cf. également le paragr. 1)

4.1.1 Öffnen und schließen der Leuchten /
VG-Einheiten
Nicht unter Spannung öffnen !
Mittlere Verschlüsse durch Öffnen der
Dreikant-sicherungsschrauben mit
Dreikantschlüssel M6 gem. DIN 22417 (Teile-
Nr. 9410003700) lösen. Alle Verschlüsse
öffnen und Lampenabdeckung öffnen und
Lampenabdeckung oder Deckel
abschwenken.
Schließen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge. Nach
dem Schließen der Lampenabdeckung oder
Deckel prüfen, daß die Lampenabdeckung
oder Deckel einwandfrei auf der
Dichtungskante liegt.
4.2 Netzanschluß
Maximale Klemmmöglichkeiten der Anschluß-
klemmen beachten (Pkt. 2 ;3).
Beachten:
•Die Klemmung an der Klemme muß sehr
sorgfältig durchgeführt werden.
•Keine Isolierung des Leiters mit
unterklemmen!
•Leiter nicht vertauschen
•Leiter muß fest angeklemmt sein, d.h.,
die Schraube fest anziehen und prüfen
•Anschlussleitungen beständig bis min.
105°C und 1000V
4.2.1 Standardklemmanschluß
4.1.1 Opening and closing the light fitting
/ Ballast Units
Do not open while energized !
Unlock the triangular screw of the middle
clamp with the triangular screw spanner M6
acc. to DIN 22417 (Part-No. 9410003700) and
then open all clamps and turn the diffuser and
turn the diffuser or cover open.
Carry out the same operations in the opposite
order to close the diffuser or cover. When the
diffuser or cover has been closed, check that
the cover is resting proberly on the edge of
the gasket.
4.2 Mains connection
Note the limits that have to be observed with
the connection terminals (point 2 ;3).
Note:
•Clamping at the terminal must be done
very carefully
•Do not clamp any part of the conductor
insulation!
•Do not transpose the conductors
•The conductor must be firmly clamped,
i.e. the screw must be screwed tight and
tested
•Wires for connection of floodlight stable
up to min.105°C and 1000V
4.2.1 Standard clamp connection
4.1.1 Ouverture et fermeture du luminaire
/ ballast
Ne pas ouvrir sous tension !
Détacher les fermetures au milieu par
l’ouverture des vises à tête triangulaire à l’aide
d’unclef triangulaire M6 DIN 22417 (Nr.
9410003700). Ensuite, ouvrir toutes les
fermetures et enlèver le diffuseur ou
couvercle.
Pour la fermeture, procéder dans le send in-
verse. Aprés fermeture de la vasque, contrôler
que la ponte de la fléche.
4.2 Raccordement au secteur
Respecter la capacité de serrage maximale
des bornes de raccordement (paragr. 2 ;3).
Attention:
•Le serrage á la borne doit être effectué
avec beaucoup de soin
•Ne pas coincer l’isolant du fil conducteur
lors du serrage
•Ne pas confondre les fils conducteurs
•Les fils conducteurs doivent être
fermement connectés: bien serrer les vis
et contrôler le serrage
•Fils de conducteurs stable jusque min.
105°C et 1000V

4.3 Kabeleinführung
Die Standardgeräte sind immer mit Einführ-
ungsbohrungen Ø20,5 versehen und mit
Kabeleinführungen M20x1,5 bestückt.
Beachten:
•Kabeleinführung und Verschlußstopfen
können untereinander vertauscht werden.
•Klemmbereich der Kabeleinführung mit
dem Durchmesser des einzuführenden
Kabels überprüfen.
•Druckschraube der Kabeleinführung fest
anziehen
•Alle nicht benutzten Öffnungen mit
Verschlußstopfen verschließen
•Nach der Installation Bauteile und
Kabeleinführung auf Dichtheit überprüfen
(≥IP 67)
•Die Kabeleinführungen sind nur für
ortsfeste Verdrahtung zugelassen
•Der Betreiber hat die erforderliche
Zugentlastung sicherzustellen
•Der Schutzgrad wird nur gewahrt, wenn
Abdichtung und Kabeleinführung richtig
montiert sind.
>> IP Schutzart ist Teil der Explosionsschutz-
Maßnahme <<
4.4 Einsatz und Austausch der
Lampe
Lampen mit E27 / E40 Sockel
4.3 Cable entry
The standard device is always provided with
Ø20,5 leading holes and M20x1,5 Cable
Glands.
Notes:
•The cable entries and sealing plugs can
be interchanged
•Check the cable entry clamping area
against the diameter of the cable to be
brought in
•Tighten the cable entry holding screw
fully
•All unused openings must be closed with
plugs
•Test the components and cable entry for
gas tightness after installation (≥IP 67)
•Only permanentley wired cables may be
entered.
•The user shall provide for the required
strain.
•Degree of protection will be safeguarded
only when sealing and cable entry fittings
are properly fitted.

4. 4 Fitting and change of Lamp
Lamps with base E27 / E40
4.3 Introduction du câble
La lampe standard est toujours équipée de
d’entrée Ø20,5, de deux entrèe avec des
introductions de câble M20x1, 5 équipe.
Attention:
•L’entrée de câble et les bouchons de
fermeture peuvent être intervertis
•Vérifier la plage de serrage de l’entré de
câble avec le diamè tre du câble à
introduire
•Serrer fermement la vis de pression de
l’entrée de câble
•Boucher l’ensemble des ouvertures non
utilisées à l’aide de bouchons de
fermeture
•Après I’installation, contrôler l’étanchéité
des composants et de l’entreé de câble
(≥IP 67)
•Seuls les câbles en permanence peuvent
être entrés.
•L’utilisateur doit fournir pour la souche
nécessaire.
•Degré de protection sera sauvegardée
que lors de la fermeture et les raccords
d’entrée de câble sont correctement
équipés.
>> Le degré de protection IP est partie
intégrante des mesures antidéflagrantes <<
4.4 Mise en place et remplacement
des tube
Tubes à culot E27 / E40
Die Lampe durch Rechtsdrehen in
die Fassung bis zum Anschlag
einsetzen.
Beachten :
•Der Lampensockel muß unbeschädigt
sein.
•Die Fassung hat einen federnden
Rüttelschutz.
•Auf Sitz der Lampe achten. Nach dem
Drehen ist der Lampensitz rüttelfest
gesichert.
•Keine Lampen mit integriertem Zündgerät
oder freiem Natrium verwenden.
Insert lamp into the lamp base until the stop is
reached. Move the lamp to it operating
position by turning it to the right.
Important notes :
•The lamp base must be undamaged.
•The holder have a spring-loaded safety
lug.
•Make sure that the lamp has been fitted
propertly. When it has been turned, the
lamp is locked in position for vibration.
•Don’t use lamps with integrated ignitor or
free sodium.
Mettre la tube dans la monture à travers
tourner de gauche à droite à fond.
Attention:
•Les culots du tube ne doivent pas
présenter de dommages.
•Les douilles sont chacune munies d’un
systéme de compensation de protection
de tordre.
•Vérifier le positionnement correct du
tube; après rotation, le tube doit être
verrouillé.
•N’ appliquer pas lampes avec appareil
d’allumage ou sodium libre.

5 Inbetriebnahme
Bevor Sie den Strahler / VG-Einheit in Betrieb
nehmen, stellen Sie sicher, daß
•der Strahler / VG-Einheit
vorschriftsmäßig installiert wurde
•der Anschluß ordnungsgemäß ausgeführt
wurde
•die Kabel ordnungsgemäß eingeführt
sind
•nicht benutzte Leitungseinführungen
verschlossen sind
•der Strahler nicht beschädigt ist
•die Lampe ordnungsgemäß eingesetzt ist
5 Commissioning
Before putting the floodlight / ballast unit into
operation, ensure that it:
•in installed according to the regulations
•the connection has been made properly
•the cable has been inserted properly
•unused cable entries are closed off
•the floodlight is not damaged
•the lamp are properly inserted
5 Mise en service
Avant de mettre la projeceur / ballast en
service, s’assurer que:
•la projecteur / ballast a été installée
confomément aux prescriptions
•le raccordement électrique est conforme
•les câbles ont été correctement introduits
•les entrées de lignes non utilisées ont été
fermées
•la projecteur sont intactes
•le tube a été correctement installé
6 Instandhaltung
6.1 Reinigung der Leuchten
Reinigen Sie den Strahler / VG-Einheit nur mit
einem feuchten Tuch. Dem Reinigungswasser
kann ein lösungsmittelfreies
Haushaltsreinigungsmittel beigegeben
werden.
Achtung: Staubschichten gößer 5mm,
müssen sofort entfernt werden !
6.2 Reparatur und Instandhaltung
Reparatur- und Instandsetzungsarbeiten an
dem Strahler / VG-Einheit dürfen nur von dafür
befugtem und entsprechend von aqua signal
in Explosionsschutz geschultem Personal
durchgeführt werden.
6 Maintenance
6.1 Clearing
Clean the floodlight / ballast unit with a damp
cloth only. A solvent- free domestic cleaner
can be added to the cleaning water.
Warning: Dust layers above 5mm must be
removed immediately !
6.2 Repairs and maintenance
Repair and maintenance works at the
floodlight / ballast unit may only be carried out
by suitable authorised and approprialy
personnel trained in explosion protection by
aqua signal correspondingly.
6 Entretien et maintenance
6.1 Nettoyage des projecteur
Nettoyer la projecteur / ballast exclusivement
à l’aide d’un chiffon humide. Vous pouvez
additionner un agent nettoyant ménager sans
solvant à l’eau de nettoyage.
Attention: Les couches de poussière
supérieures à 5mm doivent être enlevés
immédiatement !
6.2 Réparation et maintenance
Les interventions de réparation et
maintenance sur la projecteur / ballast ne
peuvent être effecuées que par un personnel
autorié et qualifié en protection contre
explosion par aqua signal conséquence.

If the floodlight does not come on when power
is applied, check:
•lamp is correctly placed?
