Disposal of the product - Environmental Protection
In accordance with the requirements of the WEEE Directive - 2002/96/EC (Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment), electrical and electronic equipment must be disposed of separately from normal household waste
in order to promote the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery, as well as limit the amount of waste to be
disposed of and reduce landfill. When you get rid of this product, observe the local regulations for waste

Secrurity
• Keep out of the reach of children
• Do not drive within 1m of the parallel pool edge.
• Do not handle the Unikart with out the securing strap closed, unless accompanied by another person
• Never put the Unicart at the water's edge without the brake pad or a minimum rim 25mm high and 50mm long.
• Do not allow a person to sit on the Unikart without a member of staff present.
• Never try to repair a strap or timing chain.
• Never place your hands or arms on the pantograph during use.
• Never ratchet the straps completely: Always maintain a minimum turn: red mark on strap maximum flow.
• Keep hands away from straps and winches.
• Do not, under any circumstances pull the strap, it is only for use with the winch.
• When handling, take care, stand sideways and use two hands if necessary.

1. Maintenance and wear parts
A – Maintenance to be performed on the device
Regular maintenance is to observe on your device:
Daily: monitoring the function of the brakes - control the operation of self locking winches.
Weekly: visual inspection of straps must remain without any damage over the entire length (both
active above, and the security below)
Monthly: good control of the axes for rotation.
Annual: See the maintenance plan
B– Security
Your device must be used in accordance with the procedure described in the relevant section
Moreover, this device also must always be used with respect to some important concepts that we
quote here:
•The device must always be set up with the carpet brake unless there is a step of more
than 35mm high and 40mm wide from the edge of the pool that is sufficient to justify
stopping. The brake pad must be placed in alignment with the pool wall
•before using it with a person, do a few test runs and check that the lifting winch brake
is working (clicking noise)
•Never remove the weights.
•always descend by turning winch anti-clockwise
•always lift by turning clockwise
•never over wind the winch straps beyond the stop running red mark
•Never use the appliance if damage found on the strap

2. Usage - procedure
A - Getting Started
Product Overview
The UNI-KART is a lifting system designed for people with
physical disabilities or with reduced mobility to have access to most pools.
Hexagone has designed this system and it is necessary to follow all instructions in the manual.
This provides secure, reliable and correct operation of the hoist to avoid injury.
This design provides a smooth safe operation and minimizes maintenance needs.
UNI-KART is designed to provide flexibility for water institutions seeking to provide access to more than one
pool and / or meet the needs of users wishing to enter or exit in a pool at different locations.
UNI-KART has a maximum lift capacity of 136kg.
Conditions of Use
UNI-KART to be used on a hard surface. A slope should not exceed 2 °.
The seat can not be placed above the water line (no more than 50cm), an empty pool, or more than 50cm from
the surface of the water. Unless specific conditions notified to Hexagone
UNI-KART is designed to transfer (lift) users from the surround of the pool into the water and from water to
surround; It is not designed to transport people from one place to another.
Public can enjoy the UNI-KART
The user must have consulted a doctor to determine if water activities are allowed and that they can use the
UNI-KART.
A single person transfer. the person must be a maximum weight of 136kg
It is recommended:
• People with reduced or zero at shoulder level or above this level immobility should use the buoyancy
compensator (optionally supplied on request) when they use the lift.
• Rinse the Unikart with clean water after each use and cleaned daily with a disinfectant solution containing
bleach diluted in clear water (1/100). Then rinse with clearn water.
In case of contamination with feces patient / user, clean the seat with a disinfectant solution as indicated
above.
Do not use the seat, the seat belt or vest stabilization if they are damaged or worn.
Counterweights
your device came with the correct amount of weight depending on the length of the pantograph arm. It
is imperative to use the supplied amount of initial weight on the device. Any failure of weight makes it
unusable. During the maintenance of your device our technicians can monitor the proper presence of
suitable weight.

B - Daily Use
Transfer Person
•Lock the 2 rear wheel brakes during the transfer. Do not unlock the rear wheels for a transfer, as the
lift could then move and cause injury.
•Lift one or both of the arm supports on the seat depending on the person.
•Keep fingers and hands away from the two straps of the hoist during use.
•Raise or lower the seat to get the correct height for the transfer.
•Place the user on the seat ensuring that their body is centered on the seat.
•Lower both of the arm supports on the seat.
•Attach the safety belt.
If the user has a wheelchair, keep nearby for easy retrieval.
Transport to pool edge
•Place down the braking carpet on pool edge and release rear brakes to move.
•Don't position any further than 1m from pool edge. Position the uni-kart on the braking carpet.
•Lock both rear wheel brakes
•Keep fingers and hands away from the straps of the hoist during use.
•The person is thus ready to be put in water.
Lowering into the water
•Lower the seat down in the water with the hand winch by turning in the anti-clockwise direction.

C - Daily use of removal from water
Exit the water
•
•Place the brake carpet in the position of removal as per putting in.
•Position the Unikart to the desired location.
•Lock both rear brakes
•Lower the seat to the user
•Return user to the seat
•Raise the seat with manual winch by turning in the clockwise direction
(At this point you should here the ratchet clicking noise, if this is not heard stop and cease
operation).
•Raise seat until desidered retrieval height.
Keep fingers and hands away from the straps of the hoist during use..
Away from Pool
•Attach the belt
•Unlock the back brakes and pull backwards from pool.
•Move towards recovery chair or remove person.
•Move at least 1m from the pool edge.
•Keep fingers and hands away from the straps of the hoist during use.
Transfer Person
•Lock the 2 rear wheel brakes during the transfer. Do not unlock the rear wheels for a transfer, as the
lift could then move and cause injury.
•Lift one or both of the arm supports on the seat depending on the person.
•Keep fingers and hands away from the straps of the hoist during use.
•Raise or lower the seat to get the correct height for the transfer.
•Undo the safety belt
•Remove the user from the seat to a chair or other point
•Pack away safely

D - Adjustable settings
•Depth of water level/scum line
The factory setting (pictured below) is designed for standard immersion with the following: infinity edge pools
or Deck level.
If your pool water level is lower than the maximum reach of the standard setting of the Unikart it is possible to
be adjusted with different settings and straps.
Attention changing these settings will remove a level of gearing from the ratchets.

3 – Your Warranty
A - Conditions
We guarantee that all equipment is technically flawless and free from defects in material or workmanship and that
corresponds to the evolution of technology and the rules of practice in force at the time of marketing. Future technological
changes made to our products, due to technological progress, can not give rise to an intervention on our part
The warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the device, if a defect is recognized. The choice of solution is left to our
initiative, knowing that no implementation of the guarantee can not be greater than the direct damage suffered, and could
lead to unreasonable costs incurred by the seller or manufacturer.
The warranty is automatically canceled if the unit has been the intervention of a third party not to our workshops or a repair
not authorized by us, or if changes have been made without our written permission. The warranty is automatically canceled
in case of use or maintenance not in accordance with the operating instructions accompanying the product when
purchased.
Any statutory warranty as described in Article 1641 of the Civil Code applies. Any text that comes into force after the issue
of this warranty, the terms of which would be public policy will automatically apply even if different from the present.
Are excluded from the warranty :
Replacement of wear parts such as straps, comfort rooms, chain.
Breakage due to shock.
Any failure on whether to replace parts without original parts
Problems encountered by non-compliance with the rules of the manual.
In any case, the repair or replacement made under the guarantee may not have the effect to extend or renew the warranty
period of the device.
B – Duration of warranty
The warranty period is 2 years or 4000 cycles from the date of invoice, subject to the first user sending the card
manufacturer's warranty of the device and the invoice of the device or a photocopy.
For security reasons, we impose an annual visit or every 1000 cycles, the non-compliance of this visit will invalidate any
warranty on the machine and use.
C – Purpose of the Guarantee
During the warranty period set forth above, all found to be defective will be repaired or exchanged by the manufacturer
with a new part or in good working order.
Subject to any provisions of French law of public order could be enforced after the publication of this warranty, travel
expenses and labor will be borne by the user. In case of return to the workshop, costs roundtrip transportation will be the
responsibility of the user costs of labor are the responsibility of the manufacturer.
The immobilization and loss of use of a device if any repairs can not give rise to compensation. In any event, the legal
guarantee of the seller continues to apply under Article 4 of Decree No. 78-464 of 24 March 1978.
D – Transport Damage
Appliances always travel at the risk of the recipient. It belongs to it, before taking delivery of the unit, check that it is in
perfect condition. We shall not be liable in this regard.
