5) Getting the right
thread adapter.
If you were not able to connect the diverter valve to your
faucet in steps 3 or 4 then we need to get you another
thread adapter.
Using the chart below, place your aerator on the circle that
most closely matches the size of your aerator.
You can practice by using the 3 thread adapters that were
included. The 3 thread adapters are 55/64” on one end and
then either 3/4”, 13/16” or 15/16” on the other end. Try
matching them to the circles. You will notice that when you
have the size right, all of the blue line of the circle will be
visible as will a tiny sliver of the white.
Once you have practiced with the included thread adapters,
you should be able to find a match for your aerator.
Let us send you the
right adapter.
Once you have the size of your aerator, we can send you the
correct adapter. Call or text us and we will take care of that
right away.

Installation Instructions
6) Peel the backing off the 3M
Command strips located on the
bottom of the AquaPurr eC.
Position the AquaPurr eC next
to the sink and press down on
the top edges of the AquaPurr
eC base unit to secure the
Command strips to your counter.
The 3M Command strips act like Velcro to
secure the AquaPurr eC to your counter top.
The 3M Command strips allow you to remove
and reposition the AquaPurr eC.
Use of the 3M Command strips is highly
recommended to help prevent your cat from
moving the AquaPurr eC away from the sink,
which could potentially cause the flowing
water to land outside the sink.
7) Install the rigid plastic drinking
spigot.
Confirm the installation is
secured by slightly pulling the
spigot—it should not pull out.
You may need to push a bit
harder than you think to secure
the spigot. You will know it is
not fully inserted if you see
some water come from that joint
when you turn on the faucet.
To remove the spigot, simply
push down and hold the blue
ring on the fitting while pulling
out the spigot.
Simply push the end of the spigot into the top
of the fitting on the base unit.
8) Rotate the top half of the
AquaPurr eC base unit as
needed to position the plastic
drinking spigot over your sink.
The AquaPurr eC can be placed on either
side of your sink. Just rotate the top half of
the base unit as needed so that the drinking
spigot is positioned over your sink.
Excessive rotating of the base unit top may
kink the flexible tubing inside the unit, which
could restrict water flow from the AquaPurr
eC. If you suspect that is happening, just pull
the two halves of the AquaPurr eC base unit
apart and rearrange the tubing as needed.

Installation Instructions
9) Plug in the power adapter and
insert the cord into the AquaPurr
eC.
10) You’re Done! Just turn on your
faucet. To test, simply move
your hand in front of the
AquaPurr eC motion sensor—
this should trigger the AquaPurr
eC flow.
The AquaPurr eC contains a device that
restricts the volume and pressure of water
that comes out of the unit. You should only
see a dribble of water, which is the perfect
amount for your cat to drink from.
Using the Sink
For regular use of your faucet after the AquaPurr eC is installed:
1) Simply turn the diverter valve to the up and
down/vertical position.

AquaPurr'eC' ' ' Page 7 of 11'
Using the AquaPurr eC
For use of the AquaPurr eC:
1) Simply turn the diverter valve to the
sideways/horizontal position.
2) Regardless of how high you turn on your faucet, the
AquaPurr eC will provide only a dribble of water.
Therefore, it is recommended that you simply turn
your faucet to a low flow when using the AquaPurr
eC.
First Use
During the first few uses, some air may spurt out with the water. This is caused by air
bubbles in the tube and is normal. Once the air bubbles pass through the tubing, the
spurting will stop.

Adjusting Motion Sensor Settings
You can customize the following settings of the AquaPurr eC motion sensor by making
some electronic adjustments:
1) Operation under dark and bright light conditions
2) Sensitivity to motion
3) Time delay (run time)
Open the AquaPurr eC base unit to locate the electronics shown.
1) Dark and bright light operation:
Switch 1 should always be in the
position shown. In this position, the
motion sensor will work both in
darkness and brightness.
2) Sensitivity to motion:
Switch 2 controls the sensitivity. It
is set to low when the AquaPurr eC
is sent to you, as shown in the
photo.
3) Time Delay (run time):
Switches 3 through 8 control the
amount of time the AquaPurr eC
stays on after the motion sensor is
triggered. And, each time the
motion sensor is re-triggered, the
timer restarts.
The time delay switches must be
used individually. Only one of the
switches 3 through 8 should be in
the “on” position.

Troubleshooting
There is a leak between the faucet and the
diverter valve, or on the swivel point of the
diverter valve.
Check to make sure there is a gasket
between the diverter valve and the faucet.
To do this, turn off your faucet and
unscrew the diverter valve.
Also, if an aerator adapter is being used
make sure it also has a gasket.
There is a leak between the diverter valve
and the flexible tubing.
Tighten the nut holding the tubing on to
the diverter valve.
If it still leaks then it is possible that the
tubing is not pushed in far enough on the
diverter valve. Loosen the nut, then push
the tubing farther onto the stud then re-
tighten the nut.
There is a leak where the tubing goes in to
the base of the AquaPurr eC.
Push the flexible tubing farther into the
fitting.

Trivia: Push Fittings
What’s up with these fittings where all I
need to do is push in the tubing?
These fittings are sometimes called “press-
to-fit” fittings and can be commonly found in
most hardware stores.
They consist of an O-ring and a gripper. The
gripper holds the tubing, both flexible and
rigid, in place and the O-ring seals the
connection.
To remove the tubing from these fittings,
simply push down the black collar and pull
out the tubing. It can sometimes help to
rotate the tubing while pulling.
For this fitting, hold down the white collar to
pull the tubing out.

The Lawyers made us add these…
We know you know this, but…:
1) For indoor use only. Do not use outdoors. The squirrels can find their own
water.
2) When unplugging, grasp the power adapter, not the power cord. But you
already knew that.
3) If you find yourself needing to tinker with the parts inside the AquaPurr, please
unplug it first. Why not, right?
4) Just like your electric toothbrush and your hair dryer, don’t let the AquaPurr fall
in the sink or the tub. That goes for the power cord too.
5) Use the 3M Command Strips to secure the AquaPurr to the counter. Some
have been known to sleep walk.
6) If any part of the AquaPurr looks damaged or is malfunctioning, don’t use it and
don’t try to fix it yourself. Seems logical, right? Get a hold of us to see if we
can fix it for you.
7) Do not use the AquaPurr for anything other than its intended use. That means
no lawn mowing, bowling, spelunking, or anything else with it!
Now a few pointers for your cats:
8) Don’t let your cat chew on the power cord. Pretty obvious right? Same goes
for the tubing. If you are concerned about your cat ignoring common sense,
buy some cord conduit ( the hard plastic protector stuff ) to wrap the cords and
tubes.
9) If your cat turns out to be allergic to the AquaPurr, please discontinue use, and
offer them a tissue.
Add a few pointers for your kids:
10) Don’t let your kid chew on the power cord either.
11) The AquaPurr is not a toy. Don’t let the kiddos play with it.
Now back to things for you to remember:
12) If you use an extension cord, make sure it has the proper rating ( I’m not talking
PG, or R here! Check the watts and amps ).
