INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the
Aquarius Direct AD300 lter.
This product has been designed and
manufactured to the very highest quality
standards. Correctly installed and
properly maintained in accordance with
the following instructions, it will provide
you with many years of reliable service.
This guide explains how to install a new
Aquarius Direct AD300 lter.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THIS
PRODUCT WITHOUT REFERENCE
TO THIS GUIDE. FOR THE PRODUCT
TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY IT
MUST BE INSTALLED STRICTLY
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE
INSTRUCTIONS.
PARTICULAR ATTENTION MUST
BE PAID TO ENSURING THE WATER
PRESSURE, WATER FLOW ARE
WITHIN THE STATED PARAMETERS.

The Aquarius Direct AD300 lter
comprises of multiple items which are
listed in section titled package contents.
The Aquarius Direct AD300 lter must
be installed using only the genuine
supplied items.
Substituting any of them with other
manufacturers’ alternatives or failing
to install and maintain the lter in strict
accordance with these instructions will
invalidate your product warranties.
Aquarius Direct will not accept liability
for damage or accidents resulting from
the use of non-genuine components,
incorrect installation or operation.
Study the diagrams, read this guide
and plan the layout carefully before
proceeding.
Caution
The water supply pressure must be
between minimum 1.5 Bar (22 psi) to
a maximum 5.5 Bar (80 psi) to operate
correctly, any deviation higher or lower
from the stated minimum or maximum
could result in damage to the Aquarius
Direct lter or injury to the end user.

1 x screwdriver for above screws
2 x adjustable wrenches for tightening
connections
1 x cutters (or a sharp knife) for cutting
supplied 3/8 tube

SAFETY Please take note
The installation must be carried out
by a suitably qualied professional in
strict accordance with the instructions
provided and comply with the European
Commission Drinking Water Directive
(DWD) Council Directive 98/83/EC.
1. Always turn off the mains water stop
valve before commencing any work on
a water system.
2. Always make sure that the area that
you intend to t the Aquarius Direct
lter system is clean, clear and free
from clutter.
3. Always wear single use gloves and
sanitise hands regularly when working
on any part of the lter water and
mains potable water system.

of 3/8 LDPE tube

female adapter
2 x 3/8 x 3/8
stem elbows

BEFORE YOU BEGIN Check the mains water pressure. The
pressure must not be below 1.5 Bar
(22 psi) or above 5.5 Bar (80 psi), test
measured during a high demand period
– (morning or lunch time). The optimum
pressure is 3 Bar (44psi).
The unit must be installed in an area
that is not susceptible to freezing.
Ensure that the lter installation area
is easily accessible for servicing.
Be careful when making the various
connections to the mains water supply
that the mains water stop valve is turned
off. Do not be tempted to over-tighten the
connections. It is only necessary to rmly
hand tighten then ¼ turn the connections
with a spanner to secure watertight seal.
Locate the existing cold-water supply pipe.
Shut off the mains water supply.

THE INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
For the AD300 lter
It is recommended to install the lter
system in a location that will be easy to
access for servicing and maintenance.
1. Find the mains water shut off
and turn off.
2. Find a suitable location in the
cupboard to mount the AD300 lter
head (this must be at least 430mm
above the bottom of the cupboard).
3. Fix the lter head to the wall of the
cupboard.
4. Next insert a 3/8 x 3/8 inch stem
elbow into each side of the lter head
(one side labelled ‘IN’ and one side
labelled ‘OUT’).
5. Insert AD300 lter cartridge into the
lter head by pushing up and turning
to the left a ¼ turn.
6. Locate the water shut off that is
feeding the steel braided pipe that
is feeding the cold supply side of the
sink faucet and turn off.
7. Disconnect the steel braided pipe
from the shut-off.
8. Now attach the 3/8 x ½ inch female
adapter to the shut-off.
9. Then attach the ½ x 3/8 inch male
adapter to the steel braided pipe.
10. Connect one 30cm piece of blue tube
from the 3/8 x 3/8 inch stem elbow
on the lter head labelled ‘IN’ to the
3/8 x ½ inch adapter on the mains
water isolator and then cut the tube
approximately two inches below the
stem elbow and insert the supplied
blue and white tap.
11. Then attach the other 30cm piece
of blue tube from the 3/8 x 3/8 inch
stem elbow on the lter labelled ‘OUT’
to the ½ x 3/8 inch adapter on the
steel braided pipe.
12. Now move on to commissioning.
Commissioning procedure
for the AD300 lter system
1. Turn on water supply.
2. Check all connections for leaks.
3. Turn on the tap until water is
dispensed.
4. Recheck all water connections.
5. Turn on the tap and ush water
for 5 minutes.
Congratulation you have now got a
constant supply of clean, clear water.
