ARABLE GUARD
INSTALLATION GUIDE

No more mess on your Marks.
When birds land on an unprotected Arable Mark device or Arable Solar panel, they can create a mess
that ultimately aects the device’s ability to charge itself. To keep birds o, we recommend installing the
Arable Guard accessory. Assembling and attaching Arable Guard takes only a few minutes using
the included instructions.

Insert the metal spikes
1. Gently bend the spike and thread
through opening.
2. Ensure one spike tip goes through
each hole.
3. Pull spike through until it ‘clicks’
into place.
4. When assembled correctly, spike
should not pull out.

Arable Guard Installation
Insert spikes on all pieces
10 spikes in the 2 round frames.
2 spikes in the straight piece.
Use zip-ties to attach to the Mark.
Use plastic nuts to attach to solar panel.
Tips:
1. Do not over-pinch the spikes when inserting them.
this will cause them to be loose and rattle, throwing
o the acoustic rain gauge. If they are too loose,
remove them and bend them back to 90º.
2. Do not over-tighten the zip ties.
3. When installing Arable Guard on the top of the
solar panel, ensure the plastic nuts recess in to
the deterrent for a proper fit.
