SICUREZZA
Avvertenze generali
• I prodotti a cui questo manuale si riferisce sono conformi alle Direttive della Comunità Europea e per-
tanto recano la sigla .
• Questo dispositivo appartiene alla Classe di protezione III, pertanto deve operare sempre con un ap-
propriato trasformatore di tensione. Controllare periodicamente l’unità, il cavo di alimentazione ed
il trasformatore. Assicurarsi che quest’ultimo sia della tipologia corretta, come indicato nel presente
manuale.
• L’unità non per uso domestico, solo per uso professionale.
• Evitare di utilizzare l’unità:
- in luoghi soggetti a vibrazioni, o a possibili urti;
- in luoghi a temperatura superiore ai 50°C.
• Evitare che nell’unità penetrino liquidi inammabili, acqua o oggetti metallici.
• Non smontare e non apportare modiche all’unità.
• Tutti gli interventi devono essere sempre e solo eettuati da personale tecnico qualicato. Rivolgersi al
più vicino centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato.
• Se si desidera eliminare il dispositivo denitivamente, consegnarlo
per lo smaltimento ad un’istituzione locale per il riciclaggio.
Attenzioni e precauzioni per l’installazione
• Se il dispositivo dovesse trovarsi ad operare in condizioni dierenti da quelle descritte nel presente
manuale, potrebbero vericarsi dei danni; in tal caso la garanzia verrebbe a decadere. Inoltre, ogni altra
operazione potrebbe provocare cortocircuiti, incendi, scosse elettriche, rotture etc.
• Prima di iniziare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o pulizia sull’unità togliere la tensione dalla rete
di alimentazione.
• Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido, asciutto, non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti chimici o
acqua.
• Mantenere i materiali inammabili ad una distanza di sicurezza dall’unità.

Spedizioni e reclami
Le merci sono vendute “franco nostra sede” e viaggiano sempre a rischio e pericolo del distributore/clien-
te. Eventuali avarie e danni dovranno essere contestati al vettore. Ogni reclamo per imballi manomessi
dovrà essere inoltrato entro 8 giorni dal ricevimento della merce.

- 1 - INTRODUZIONE
1.1 DESCRIZIONE
ARCTAB è un’interfaccia di controllo DMX touch-sensitive, con funzionamento stand-alone per la gestione
di sistemi di illuminazione LED e RGB.
La supercie sensibile al tocco è facilmente programmabile da PC, per la creazione e la memorizzazione
delle scene, l’assegnazione dei corpi illuminanti alle zone e l’impostazione delle funzioni stand-alone ti-
mer/data/ora.
1.2 SPECIFICHE TECNICHE
• Ideale per il controllo di sistemi di lluminazione basati LED, RGB e DMX
• Fino a 1024 canali DMX (2 universi)
• Interfaccia totalmente “touch” e user-friendly per il controllo delle scene, della velocità di esecuzione,
dei colori e del dimmer
• Fino a 200 scene gestibili da pannello di controllo
• Memoria espandibile SD card
• Microfono integrato per modalità di attivazione musicale
• Orologio e calendario integrato per programmazione di eventi in modalità stand-alone
• Connessioni aggiuntive: 8 porte, RS232, Ethernet (opzionale)
• Design sottile concepito per applicazione a parete
• Software PC per la programmazione dell’interfaccia e la creazione delle scene (cavo mini-USB incluso)

1.3 ELEMENTI DI COMANDO E DI COLLEGAMENTO
1. Pulsante POWER ON/OFF - un LED blu è
utilizzato per indicare se l'apparecchio è
acceso o spento.
2. Pulsanti SCENE (1-8) - vengono utilizzati per
selezionare singole scene. Le scene possono
essere statiche o dinamiche La doppia
pressione dei tasti 1-8 consente di resettare
Dimmer, Speed e Color ai valori di default.
3. Pagine A-B-C-D-E - tasti utilizzati per ciclo
tra 25 diverse pagine (A, B, C, D, E x5). In
combinazione con i pulsanti 1-8, consente di
memorizzare 200 scene dierenti.
4. Il pulsante di selezione consente di scorrere
i controlli Dimmer, Speed e Color. I cursori in
basso sono utilizzati per impostare l'intensità
Dimmer, Speed e Color.

5. Il LED verde indica che le impostazioni Dimmer,
Speed e Color sono impostate ai valori di
default. Se il cursore viene spostato a destra o
a sinistra del valore di default (verde), il valore
corrente verrà indicato attraverso i LED blu.
6. Il cursore colorato ore un accesso diretto ai
colori di base con un semplice tocco.

- 2 - INSTALLAZIONE
2.1 MONTAGGIO
L’interfaccia ARCTAB può essere installata in una scatola elettrica standard. Si può inserire l’adattatore AC/
DC sia all’interno che all’esterno della scatola elettrica.
• Montare la piastra posteriore dell’interfaccia al muro con 2 o più viti.
• Collegare il blocco verde connettori (g.3) all’interfaccia.
• Chiudere l’interfaccia usando una vite.
2.1 COLLEGAMENTO DEI FILI
• DMX: collegare il cavo DMX dell’unità di illuminazione (LED, Dimmers, proiettori, ecc.) all’interfaccia di
controllo ARCTAB.
• POWER: collegare l’adattatore AC/DC all’interfaccia di controllo ARCTAB prestando attenzione a non
invertire le polarità.
NOTA - Se la vostra applicazione necessita di ulteriori porte assicurarsi che i contatti siano collegati con la
terra come mostrato in gura.

WARNING! Before carrying out any operations with the unit, carefully read this instruction
manual and keep it with cure for future reference. It contains important information about
the installation, usage and maintenance of the unit.
SAFETY
General instruction
• The products referred to in this manual conform to the European Community Directives and are there-
fore marked with .
• This device falls under PROTECTION CLASS III. It always has to be operated with an appropriate trans-
former. Check the device, the power cord and transformer from time to time. Make sure that the correct
type as that stated on the rear panel.
• This unit is not for home use, only professional applications.
• Never use the xture under the following conditions:
- in places subject to vibrations or bumps;
- in places with a temperature of over 50°C.
• Make certain that no inammable liquids, water or metal objects enter the xture.
• Do not dismantle or modify the xture.
• All work must always be carried out by qualied technical personnel. Contact the nearest sales point for
an inspection or contact the manufacturer directly.
• If the unit is to be put out of operation denitively, take it to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the environment.
Warnings and installation precautions
• If this device will be operated in any way dierent to the one described in this manual, it may suer
damage and the guarantee becomes void. Furthermore, any other operation may lead to dangers like
short circuit, burns, electric shock, etc.
• Before starting any maintenance work or cleaning the projector, cut o power from the main supply.
• For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means chemicals or water.
• Keep any inammable material at a safe distance from the xture.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Shipments and claims
The goods are sold “ex works” and always travel at the risk and danger of the distributor. Eventual dam-
age will have to be claimed to the freight forwarder. Any claim for broken packs will have to be forwarded
within 8 days from the reception of the goods.
Warranty and returns
The guarantee covers the xture in compliance with existing regulations. You can nd the full version of
the “General Guarantee Conditions” on our web site www.musiclights.it. Please remember to register the
piece of equipment soon after you purchase it, logging on www.musiclights.it. The product can be also
registered lling in and sending the form available on your guarantee certicate. For all purposes, the va-
lidity of the guarantee is endorsed solely on presentation of the guarantee certicate. Music & Lights will
verify the validity of the claim through examination of the defect in relation to proper use and the actual
validity of the guarantee. Music & Lights will eventually provide replacement or repair of the products de-
clining, however, any obligation of compensation for direct or indirect damage resulting from faultiness.

- 1 - INTRODUCTION
1.1 DESCRIPTION
ARCTAB is a touch-sensitive DMX interface with stand-alone operation conceived for easy control of light-
ing systems based on LED source or equipped with RGB colour mixing system.
The touch surface can be fully programmed through PC with scenes editor, zone addressing, timer/calen-
dar/clock adjustment for stand-alone operation.

• Touch-sensitive and user friendly interface for control of scenes, running speed, colours and dimmer

1.3 OPERATING ELEMENTS AND CONNECTIONS

1. POWER ON/OFF - a blue LED is used to indicate
whether the unit is on or o (Blackout).
2. SCENES buttons (1-8) - are used to select
individual scenes. Scenes can be static or
dynamic. Double pressing buttons 1-8 will
reset the Dimmer, Speed and Color default.
3. A-B-C-D-E - used to cycle between 25 dierent
pages (A, B, C, D, E x5). In combination with
buttons 1-8, 200 dierent scenes can be
stored.
4. The select button allows you to cycle through
the Dimmer, Speed and Color fader controls.
The faders at the bottom of the unit is used to
select the intensity of the Dimmer, Speed and
Color settings.
5. The green LED indicates that the Dimmer,
Speed and Color settings on the STICK are set
to default. If the fader is moved to the right or
left of the default (green), one of the 8 blue
LED's will indicate your current intensity level.
6. The colorized fader of the design oers a
direct access to basic colors with a simple
tourch.

2.1 MOUNTING
The ARCTAB controller can be installed in any standard electrical backbox. If you use a double size box, you
can insert the power supply inside.
• Mount the back side of the interface on the wall with 2 or more screws.
• Plug the 2 connectors (green connector block, g.3).
• Close the interface, using one screw.
2.2 CONNECT THE WIRES
• DMX: Connect the DMX cable to the lighting receivers (Leds, Dimmers, Fixtures..)
(for XLR: 1=ground 2=dmx- 3=dmx+).
• Connect a 9V DC 0.65A. Be sure to not invert the + and the ground.
NOTE - PORT 1,2,3,4 : If your application need to have some external contact closures, make the contacts
between the ground and the ports.
Follow the wiring diagram as shown in gure.
