1.3 General safety instructions
•Your safety is of the most importance to us. Please make sure that you read this instruction
booklet before attempting to install and use the appliance. If you are unsure of any of the
information contained in this booklet, please contact the Retailer where you purchased your
unit.
•WARNING: Read all safety and usage instructions. Failure to follow the safety
information and instructions can cause electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all
safety and usage instructions for future reference.
•DO NOT use the product until you read the instruction manual.
•Make sure you have read the instruction manual thoroughly and understand the contents
before you start the installation.
•The instructions are in the interest of your safety.
•This device may be used by children 8 years old and over, and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have
been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the hazards
arising therefrom.
•The device is not a toy. Keep children and animals away. Only use the device under
supervision.
•Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
•Do not operate the device in potentially explosive atmospheres.
•Do not operate the device in an aggressive atmosphere.
•Stand the device upright and stable.
•Let the device dry after a damp cleaning. Do not operate it when it is wet.
•Do not operate the device with damp or wet hands.
•Do not expose the device to a direct jet of water.
•Never insert objects or limbs into the device.
•Do not cover the device during operation and do not transport it.
•Do not sit on the device.
•Before every use, check the device, its accessories and connecting parts for possible damage.
Do not use defective devices or device parts.
•Make sure that all electrical cables outside the device are protected against damage (eg from
animals). Never use the device in case of damage to electrical cables or to the mains
connection!
•The power connection must comply with the specifications in chapter Technical data.
•Keep the power cord and product away from sharp edges and heated surfaces.
•Never use the device if you notice damage to the power plug or power cord. A defective
mains cable must be replaced by the manufacturer or a specialist electrician. Defective
power cords pose a serious health hazard!
•Plug the power plug into a properly secured electrical outlet.
•Select extensions of the power cord considering the specifications. Unroll the extension cable
completely. Avoid electrical overload.
•Do not connect the device to multiple extension cords or a multiple outlet.
•Turn off the power and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when it is not in use.
•Before servicing, maintaining or repairing the unit, disconnect the power cord from the wall
