the product for the first time. If you give the product to a third party, this instruction manual must
also be handed over. Keep this manual for future reference. The drawings in this manual may not
correspond to the physical objects. Please refer to the physical objects.
1.Introduction and safety instructions
1.1 Introduction
•These operating instructions are intended to familiarise you with the installation, use and
maintenance of the appliance. To install the unit safely and correctly, please read the
operating instructions before you start.
•Check the unit for any damage that may have occurred during transport. Immediately report
any damage to the carrier by which the product was delivered.
1.2 Explanation of the symbols
By means of a CE marking, it can be recognized that a product complies with the
legal provisions of European legal standards and therefore may be traded within
the European Community.
This product must not be disposed of with household waste!
Warning! Read the safety instructions carefully. Failure to follow the safety
precautions could result in serious injury or damage. Keep the operating
instructions in a safe place.

1.3 General safety instructions
•Your safety is of the most importance to us. Please make sure that you read this instruction
booklet before attempting to install and use the appliance. If you are unsure of any of the
information contained in this booklet, please contact the Retailer where you purchased your
unit.
•WARNING: Read all safety and usage instructions. Failure to follow the safety
information and instructions can cause electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all
safety and usage instructions for future reference.
•DO NOT use the product until you read the instruction manual.
•Make sure you have read the instruction manual thoroughly and understand the contents
before you start the installation.
•The instructions are in the interest of your safety.
•This device may be used by children 8 years old and over, and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have
been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the hazards
arising therefrom.
•The device is not a toy. Keep children and animals away. Only use the device under
supervision.
•Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
•Do not operate the device in potentially explosive atmospheres.
•Do not operate the device in an aggressive atmosphere.
•Stand the device upright and stable.
•Let the device dry after a damp cleaning. Do not operate it when it is wet.
•Do not operate the device with damp or wet hands.
•Do not expose the device to a direct jet of water.
•Never insert objects or limbs into the device.
•Do not cover the device during operation and do not transport it.
•Do not sit on the device.
•Before every use, check the device, its accessories and connecting parts for possible damage.
Do not use defective devices or device parts.
•Make sure that all electrical cables outside the device are protected against damage (eg from
animals). Never use the device in case of damage to electrical cables or to the mains
connection!
•The power connection must comply with the specifications in chapter Technical data.
•Keep the power cord and product away from sharp edges and heated surfaces.
•Never use the device if you notice damage to the power plug or power cord. A defective
mains cable must be replaced by the manufacturer or a specialist electrician. Defective
power cords pose a serious health hazard!
•Plug the power plug into a properly secured electrical outlet.
•Select extensions of the power cord considering the specifications. Unroll the extension cable
completely. Avoid electrical overload.
•Do not connect the device to multiple extension cords or a multiple outlet.
•Turn off the power and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when it is not in use.
•Before servicing, maintaining or repairing the unit, disconnect the power cord from the wall

outlet by grasping it by the power plug.
•Note: To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect the plug from the power outlet when it
is not in use and before cleaning. If the power cord is damaged, stop using it immediately
and return it to the customer service for repair.
•Only an authorized service person is allowed to carry out repairs on the air cooler.
•Incorrect use of the product invalidates the manufacturer's warranty. If you have any
questions regarding this information, please contact us for clarification before using the air
cooler.
1.4 Specific safety instructions
•Personnel Qualification: Persons using this device must:
-Be aware of the dangers of working with electrical appliances in humid environments.
-have read and understood the operating instructions. Maintenance activities that require
the housing to be opened may only be carried out by electrical specialist companies.
•Always remove all packing material from the device before using it.
•Suffocation! Do not leave the packaging material careless. It could be a dangerous toy for
children.
•Note: Do not operate the device without the air filter inserted! Without an air filter, the
inside of the device becomes heavily contaminated, which can reduce performance and
damage the device.
•Only fill the water tank with fresh drinking water, ice cubes from drinking water and / or
suitable ice packs.
•The device must be used on a flat, constantly hard surface.
•Make sure the air inlet and outlet are free.
•Make sure that the suction side is always free of dirt and loose objects.
•Only transport the device upright with the water tank empty.
•Before storage or transport, empty the water tank. Do not drink the water. There is a health
hazard!
•To prevent spillage, do not jerk the air cooler when the water tank still contains water.
•Change the water regularly to keep it clean.
•Do not fill the water tank beyond the "MAX" indicator.
•Do not plug the product in / out of the socket with a wet hand. Never insert fingers or other
objects through the fan cowls. Never insert or drop objects into an opening of the product.
•Do not attempt to open any part of the motor housing, as this may involve the risk of electric
shock.
•Do not use the "Cooler" function in a locked area with poor ventilation for a long period of
time to avoid high humidity.

2.Use
2.1 Intended Use
•Only use the device for air cooling indoors, complying with the technical data.
Intended use includes air cooling of:
- Residential rooms
- Museums
- warehouses and archives
- libraries
- Telephone exchanges and computer rooms
2.2 Improper Use
•Do not place the device on wet or flooded ground.
•Do not place any objects, such as clothes, on the device.
•Do not use the device outdoors.
•Unauthorized structural changes such as attachments or conversions to the unit are
prohibited.
•Any operation other than those listed in this manual is prohibited. Failure to comply will void
any liability and warranty.
3.Product description
•The air cooler cools down rooms to pleasant temperatures using evaporative cooling.
•The device is filled with cold water to cool the inflowing warm air at the evaporation filter
and blow out through the fan as cold air again.
•If necessary, you can use cold packs to achieve another cooling effect.
•The device can be used without water as a normal electric fan.
•In addition to its cooling function, the device can also be used for air freshening: thanks to an
integrated air filter and the honeycomb structure of the evaporation filter, the intake air is
filtered and moistened.

5.Commissioning
•Open the box and remove the air cooler.
•Make sure there is enough room to place all the parts before you start assembling. It is
necessary to take out the tank to fill it with water.
•Attach the supplied wheels to the air cooler.
•Place the air cooler on a flat surface.
•Before use, fill the tank with clean water (the water level should be higher than MIN and
lower than MAX), and then put it in the unit.
•Please fill the water tank before using the cooling function. If the water is at the minimum
display, the cooling function will not start until the tank is refilled.
•Plug the power plug into the socket.
•Note: The mains plug must be firmly plugged into the socket, otherwise an electrical arc can
occur between the electrodes of the socket, which can lead to high temperatures and thus to
the risk of fire.
Remote control
•Open the battery cover on the back of the remote and insert the button battery. Pay
attention to the correct polarity. Then replace the battery cover.
•When replacing the battery, be sure to buy a new one of the same type. Remove the battery
if you are not going to use the remote for a long time.

6.Operation notes
6.1 Control panel
ON/OFF button
•Press the ON/OFF button and the air cooler is switched on.
•Press the ON/OFF button again and it turns off the device.
SPEED button
•Press the SPEED button to select three different fan speeds.
•Press once the SPEED button and the low fan speed is set. is on.
•Press twice the SPEED button and the average fan speed is set. is on.
•Press three times the SPEED button and the high fan speed is set. is on.
OSC button
•Press the OSC button to activate the oscillation function.
•Press once the OSC button, is on. The fan moves from left to right.
•Press twice the OSC button, is on. The fan moves from top to bottom.
•Press three times the OSC button, both LEDs will light up and the fan will move from left to
right as well as from top to bottom.
•To stop the oscillation function, press the OSC button again.
MODE button
•By pressing the MODE button you can choose between sleeping mode / normal
mode and dry-wind mode .
•The relevant lights light up to let you know about your choices.
•Sleeping Mode: The cooler releases at a low level and stops for 2 seconds at 40-second
intervals.
•Normal mode: The cooler will air for 6 seconds in low, medium and highest levels and then
stops for 3 seconds.

•Dry-wind mode: The air cooler releases at the highest level for 20 minutes and then
automatically switches to standby mode.
When this mode is selected, only the MODE button and the ON / OFF button can be pressed.
All other functions are locked.
TIMER button
•When the unit is running, you can set a timer to automatically turn off the air cooler after the
specified time.
•Press the TIMER button on the timer several times to select the desired time in 1 to 8 hours
increments (1, 2, 4, 8 hours).
•The connected display light will light up on the control panel.
•The air cooler is constantly running when no light for the time display is lit.
Cool button
•Make sure there is enough water in the tank. Above min-level and below max-level.
•Press the Cool button and the cool air indicator lamp lights up.
•The device cools the incoming warm air at the evaporation filter. The air blowing through the
fan is now cooled by the circulating water and blown out again as a moist and pleasantly cold
air.
•When there is no water in the tank, the LED indicator light turns red and a beeping sound is
heard.
•Refill the water tank with cold water.
ION button
•To get fresh air in your room, simply press the ION button and the built-in ionizer will be
activated.
AI/Auto button
•Baby mode: The air cooler makes for a light breeze.
•„Eco“ mode: The cooler operates at high speed when the ambient temperature is
above 35°C, medium speed at 29-34°C, low speed at 25-28°C and with medium breeze below
25°C.
6.2 Ice crystal box
•Place the ice box in the freezer of your refrigerator until the box is completely frozen.
•Put the frozen ice box back into the water tank.
•The box can store cold and maintain the low temperature inside. It slowly absorbs the heat
from the water in the tank to ensure that the water temperature in the tank is lower than
the ambient temperature, so the wind from the unit is cooler and more comfortable.
6.3 Remote control
•The reception range of the remote control is about 3-6 meters. If the remote does not work
at short range, please replace the battery.
•The remote control can be stored vertically or flat in the recess area on the top of the air
cooler next to the control panel.

•Note: The buttons on the remote control have the same meaning as the buttons on the
control panel.

7.2 Activities before maintenance
•Warning of electrical voltage! Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
Turn off the device.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet by grasping the power plug.
•Warning of electrical voltage!Activities that require the housing to be opened may only be
carried out by authorized specialist companies.
7.3 Visual inspection of the inside of the device for contamination
•Remove the air filter.
•Light up with a flashlight in the openings of the device.
•Check the inside of the device for dirt.
•If you detect a dense layer of dust, have the interior of the unit cleaned by a specialist
electrician.
•Reinstall the air filter.

7.4 Clean the housing
•Clean the device with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Make sure that no moisture penetrates
into the housing. Make sure that no moisture can come into contact with electrical
components. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, such as cleaning sprays, solvents,
alcohol-containing cleaners or abrasives to moisten the cloth.
7.5 Empty and clean the water tank
•The water tank should be emptied before long periods of non-use or storage.
-Simply remove the water tank on the back of the device.
-Empty the water tank and wash the water tank carefully.
-Then clean the container with a mild detergent (no detergent!). Also remove all calcium
deposits in the water tank.
-Dry the inside of the water container with a lint-free cloth.
-Fill the water tank with fresh water if you want to continue to operate the appliance.
-Then place the water tank in the air cooler again.
7.6 Clean the air filter
•The air filter must be cleaned as soon as it is dirty. This manifests itself by a reduced power.
•To do this, remove the air filter on the back of the device.
•Warning: Make sure the air filter is not worn or damaged. The corners and edges of the air
filter must not be deformed or rounded.
•Clean the filter with a soft, lint-free, slightly damp cloth. If the filter is heavily soiled, clean it
with warm water mixed with neutral detergent.
•Let the filter dry completely. Do not put a wet or damaged filter in the device!
•Put the air filter back in the unit.
8.Transportation and storage
•Note: If you store or transport the device improperly, the device may be damaged. Observe
the information on transport and storage of the device.
8.1 Transportation
•Observe the following notes before each transport:
-Turn off the device.
-Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet by grasping the power plug.
-Empty the water tank.
-The device is provided with transport wheels for easier transport.
-Do not use the power cord as a pull cord.
-Only roll the device on flat and smooth surfaces.
-Observe the following instructions after each transport: Place the device upright after
transportation.
8.2 Storage
•Observe the following instructions before each storage:
-Empty and clean the water tank before storage.
-Allow the honeycomb filter to dry before storage. Otherwise, the device may spread a
musty odor after restarting.

•When not using the device, observe the following storage conditions:
-dry and protected from frost and heat.
-in an upright position in a place protected from dust and direct sunlight.
-with a cover protected from dust.
-Do not place any other devices or objects on the device to prevent damage to the device.
-Remove batteries from the remote control.

10. Environmentally friendly disposal
10.1 Disposal and packaging
•The packaging of your unit consists of materials that are necessary to guarantee effective
protection during transport. These materials are fully recyclable and therefore reduce the
environmental impact. Dispose of the packaging in a bin for recyclable materials.
10.2 Disposal of old equipment
•Old appliances must be disposed of in accordance with the guidelines and regulations of the
local waste disposal authority. Check with your local administration for the address of the
nearest recycling centre and deliver your appliance there.
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin on a Waste electrical or electronic
equipment indicates that it must not be disposed of with household waste at
the end of its life. Collection points for waste electrical and electronic
equipment are available free of charge in your area. You can obtain the
addresses from your city or local government. You can find out about other
return options created by us on our website www.arebos.de.
The separate collection of Waste electrical or electronic equipment is intended
to enable the reuse, recycling or other forms of recovery of Waste electrical or
electronic equipment and to avoid the negative consequences of disposal on
the environment and human health.
Notes on battery disposal
The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin on batteries or accumulators indicates that they must not be
disposed of with household waste at the end of their service life. If batteries or accumulators contain
mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb), you will find the respective chemical symbol below the
symbol of the crossed-out trash can. You are legally obliged to return old batteries and accumulators
after use. You can do this free of charge in a retail store or at another collection point near you.
