This instruction manual contains important
information about the installation and use of the
luminaire. Please read and follow these
instructionscarefully.
Thesecurityofthisdeviceisguaranteedonlywith
the proper use of the following instructions,
thereforetheymustbekeptcarefully.
Never install the device in locations easily
accessiblebypeoplewhoignoretheexistenceof
thisuser'smanualandsafetyinstructions.
For the wiring please refer to enclosed wiring
diagrams. If in the diagrams indicated there
shouldnotbethatofyourapplication,contactthe
technicaloffice.
Disconnecttheunitfromanypowersupplybefore
attempting any operation in contact or inside the
unit,andwhennotinuse.
Itisessentialthateachdeviceiscorrectlyearthed
and that electrical installation conforms to all
relevant standards. Never supply the unit without
theearthlink.
Prior to connect the unit to the mains supply,
check the output voltage fits the technical
requirementsonthelabel.
Never let the power cord come into contact with
othercables.
Nevertouch theelectrical contacts, either directly
with your fingers, or indirectly by means of sharp
ormetalobjects.
Makesurethatcablescannotcausetriphazard.
Donotattempttodismantleandmodifytheunit.
Due to the high technological level of this unit,
anyservicemaintenance should beperformedby
specialised operators. Please contact yourArena
Lucidealerforanyoperation.
Alwaysensurethatthestructuretowhichyouare
attachingtheunitissecureandisabletosupport
theweightofeachunit.
Do not allow contact with water or any other
fluids,ormetallicobjects(IP54/IP40).
Avoidinstallingtheunitclosetoheatsources.
Neverleanthepowercordonhotunitsurfaces.
Allowed to be mounted directly on inflammable
surfaces.
Installtheunitwhereitcanbeeasilyaerated.
Do not install the luminaire on deformed or
damagedceilings.
Thelightingapparatusmustbeusedonlywithits
protectiveplasticshield.
Contact your Arena Luci dealer if the protective
shieldisvisiblydamagedtothe point at which its
effectiveness is diminished, for example by
becomingcrackedordeeplyscratched.
LEDmoduleisnotreplaceable.
Do not use any solvent based cleaning agents.
Useonlyasoft,dryantistaticcloth.
The installation of LED modules (including power
supplies) should be done according to current
technical rules and regulations. The installation
shouldbeperformedonlybyaqualifiedoperator.
Avoid contact with either corrosive agents or
humidity and moisture on delicate elements:
damages from corrosion are not refunded as
componentdefects.

BEFORESTARTING
Remove the product from the shipping carton,
checking that all the components supplied are
presentin the box.Refer tothe following packing
list to check which components must be present
in the packaging. If any component is missing or
damaged, contact your Arena Luci dealer
immediately.

Before starting the installation of your product
make sure that there are no evident damages
caused by transportation. In the event that the
luminaireisdamaged,donotplugitinanddonot
attempt to use it until you contacted your Arena
Lucidealerforassistance.
INSTALLATIONANDPOWERSUPPLY
Thepanelcanbeinstalledinafalseceiling,ona
concrete ceiling or suspended. Depending on the
typeofinstallationitisnecessarytofindasuitable
housing for the power supply or it is possible to
placethepowersupplyinthemiddleoftheupper
faceofthepanel.
Alwaysmakesurethatthestructureyouarefixing
the panel is safe and able to bear the weight of
3.1kgofeachappliance,possibly including power
supply.
Remove the mains voltage from the system
before performing any of the installations listed
below.
Drag the derivations from the 230V power line to
the position where the electronic driver will be
installed. Keep in mind that the output of the
powersupplythatisconnectedtothepanelhasa
cable with a length of about 15cm, so there is a
discrete freedom in choosing the position of the
powersupply.
Connectthepowersupplytothemains,usingthe
voltage and frequency indicated on the label and
observing the indicated polarity LNE (colors
brown=L,blue=N,yellow/green=E).Makesure
that no conductors have uncovered copper
pieces.
Itisadvisablethatthepowersupplyisconnected
to the mains via its own switch, so that it can be
switchedonandoffindividually.
Theterminalblockcanacceptconductorsofcross
section between 0.5 and 1.5 mm2; for fixing
remove approximately 56 mm of insulation from
thewires.
It is essential that the electrical installation
complieswithallcurrentgoodtechnicalandsafety
standards.
Falseceilinginstallation
Thor panel has been specially designed to be
housed on a normal frame for squared ceilings.
After having housed the power supply inside the
false ceiling, take the cable with the plug
connectorofthepowersupplyunitoutofthefalse
ceiling and connect it firmly to the corresponding
socket on the panel power cable (Fig. 01).
Positionthepanelonthesupportframe.
Ifthefalseceilingisoftheplasterboardtype,itis
necessary to use the accessory for fixing to a
falseceiling(APL1200).
Make a square hole of the appropriate size for
housing the accessory, as indicated in the
instructions attached to the product, and attach it
totheplasterboard.Laythedriverinsidethefalse

ceiling and pull the cable with the plug connector
outfromtheholeinthefalseceilingandconnectit
firmly to the corresponding socket on the panel
power cable (Fig. 01). Insert the panel inside the
casingandfixit.
Ceilinginstallation
Anaccessory (codeAPL1100) isavailable forthe
installation of the panel on a concrete ceiling, in
cases where there is no false ceiling. This is a
framethatmustbefixeddirectlytotheceilingand
inwhichthepanelissubsequentlyinserted.
Beforefixingtheframe,makesurethatthepower
supplylinecanexitinsidetheframeitself.
Drill four holes on the ceiling, arranged at the
corners of a rectangle to fix the frame, get the
interaxis between the holes measuring the frame
and mark them with a pencil on the ceiling. Pass
the power cable through the back of the frame
and then screw the back to the ceiling using
expansion plugs of the type suitable for the type
ofceilingandtheloadtosupporttheweightofthe
frameandpanel.
Once the back of the frame is firmly fixed to the
ceiling, connect the plug connector of the power
supply unit to the corresponding socket on the
panelpowercable(Fig.01).
FinalizetheinstallationbyinsertingtheLEDpanel
on the two guides of the frame pushing it all the
way down, put the power supply in the middle of
the upper face of the panel and finally close the
framebyscrewingtheclosingcover.
Suspendedinstallation
If you wish to install the panel in suspension, an
accessory is available that contains everything
necessary for the purpose (APNL1236S). Follow
theinstructionsattachedtotheproducttoidentify
thefixingpointsonboththepanelandtheceiling
andhowtoadjustthesuspensionheight.
Thecableforconnectiontothemainssupplymust
come out of the ceiling. Firmly connect the plug
connector of the power supply unit to the
corresponding socket on the panel power cable
(Fig.01).

WARRANTYCONDITIONS
The unit is guaranteed for 24 months from the
date of purchase against defects in workmanship
ormaterialsthatcomposeit.
This warranty does faults due to incorrect or
improperuseofthedevice.
The warranty is immediately void if the unit has
been tampered with or opened by unauthorized
personnel.
The warranty provides, at the discretion ofArena
Luci,repairorreplacementoffaultyequipment.
The serial number and model of the device are
required to obtain information or assistance from
the dealer. We invite you to transcribe them in
time: for any request of information or services,
thiswillresultinaquickandeffectiveoperation.
