2- Installation
The assembly process of the product starts with fixing the case with screws, ends
with the assembly of dmx data cables, led cables and finally the power supply.
2.1. DMX Connection
The device has 2 3 pin terminal DMX Outputs. It consists of DMX +, DMX-, Com pins.
These outputs are isolated from each other and represent the same DMX universe.
DMX outputs are separated from each other and from the processor module inside
the product by optical isolation. You can use these two outputs for electrical separation
of two regions that receive their data from the same universe, or you can use them
as backup outputs.
Make DMX connections while there is no energy in the receiver units and your device.
Next to each DMX output there are 3 pins to activate the termination resistor. These
are factory set to the "ON" position. If you do not want to use this ending resistor spe-
cific to your application, you can switch it to the "OFF" position.
We strongly recommend using twisted cable for transmission of dmx
data.

2.2. Power Supply Connection
Argetron Kamino DMX 512 Master has a wide input voltage value in the range of
12Vdc-48Vdc. Do not apply DC Voltage outside of this range. There is a 2-pin terminal
to connect the power supply. In case of reverse connection, the device will not
operate.
Use SELV Class 2 compliant power supply.
2.3. USB Connection
There is a USB Type B connection on your device. With this port, you can load your
scenarios created with ARGETRON DMX MASTER program.
If an external USB power supply is used, devices that support 5.5
V and 500mA must be used. Do not forget that there is a risk of fire
otherwise.
AC voltage of the device is not suitable.
When connecting USB, always use the USB2.0 port or USB2.0 Hub
with its own power supply.
