OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Read the instructions carefully before operating or servicing the air purifier.
Observe all the safety instructions; failure to observe the instructions may lead to accidents and/or
damage. Store these instructions in a safe place for future reference.

GENERAL OPERATING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is a highly efficient air purifier designed for
domestic use only!
Use this air purifier only as outlined in this manual. Any other use
not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric
shock or malfunctions.
This appliance can purify the air, but can’t provide fresh air coming
from outside. Users are suggested to periodically open windows
for ventilation during operation (example, every day). When it is
used together with burning appliances, please make sure that
room is well ventilated.
The unit must be placed in a vertical position at all times.
Ensure that the available power source conforms to the required
voltage and frequency (220 - 240V/50-60 Hz).
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
Make sure that the plug is fully inserted. Do not use multiple
adapters. Do not touch the plug with wet hands. Make sure that
the plug is clean.
This product is not a toy. Children should be adequately
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Disconnect the main power when the appliance is not in use
or during cleaning operations. Keeping the appliance plugged
in may cause electric shocks or accidents.

To disconnect the appliance, set the switch to OFF and remove
the plug from the socket. Pull on the plug only. Do not pull the
cord.
Do not bend, drag or twist the cord, or apply force to remove it. Do
not operate the unit if its cable or plug are damaged; doing so
can cause fires or electric shock. If the power cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by a service centre.
Do not place heavy objects on the appliance or near it.
Do not use the appliance on unstable or sloping surfaces.
The air purifier must be placed at least 50 cm from the wall or
from other obstacles.
Close all open windows to maximise air purification
efficiency. Keep away the purifier from direct air flow, like the
air conditioner, otherwise it may affect the normal operation
of sensor.
Do not insert objects or sharp instruments into the air outlet
grille, otherwise it may cause electric shock, fire hazard and
damage the appliance.
Do not cover the air intake and outlet grilles in any way.
WARNING!
In the event of an anomaly, switch the appliance off and unplug
it immediately. Do not dismantle, repair or modify this product
freely. In the event of a malfunction, contact the after-sales
service centre directly.
Do not immerse the power cord, plug or any other part of the
appliance in water or other liquids.
Do not expose the air purifier to direct sunlight.
Keep the appliance well away from sources of heat which could
cause plastic parts to become warped.
Do not place the purifier in humid environments such as bathroom
or in place with solvents, volatile chemicals (such as hospitals,

photo room, etc…) or fumes discharge, because they could affect
the product performace.
Do not spray insecticides, oils or paints near the appliance; doing
so may damage its plastic parts or start a fire.
Keep corrosive gases, flammable oils and metallic powders
away from the appliance!
Do not move the appliance while it is operating, as this may
cause malfunctions.
Before the use, ensure that filter it’s correctly positioned.
Use only original filter provided by producer, otherwise it could
affect the functioning.
Prohibit burning the filter.

DESCRIPTION OF PARTS
This purifier adopts the side air intake and top air discharge method. It intakes indoor air and the air passes through the
composite filter for fast indoor circulation for purification, which effectively removes formaldehyde, odors, smoke and
pollen, bacteria, mold, fine dust, volatile organic substances and any toxic gases from domestic activity and allergens.

Purification occurs through a composite filter made of a system of 4 successive layers of electrostatic type, as shown
here below.
1. PRIMARY FILTER
2. MODIFIED ACTIVE CARBON FILTER
3. COMPOSITE FILTER PAPER
4. SPRAY COATING PROTECTION LAYER
When operate unit for first time, tear off the sealing plastic bag of composite filter and then install the composite filter
according the following procedures:

Hold both sides of the top panel with both sides and then
remove the decorative panel.

DISPLAY AND CONTROL PANEL
Take out the composite filter then tear off the sealing plastic bag of
filter.
When installing the filter, the label FRONT faces outwards. Align
the filter at the groove at the middle of base to make sure the filter
is correctly positioned

Put the clasps at the bottom of the decorative panel into the
groove, and with both hands position the decorative panel following
the direction of the arrow.

The air quality is displayed by the PM2.5 icon on the control panel. Under working status, except in Sleep Mode, the icon will be
always on. The light color will automatically change according to the air quality, as follows:
Green – Best quality Blue – Good quality Red – Bad quality
KEYS AND INDICATORS ON THE DISPLAY AND CONTROL PANEL
Connect the unit to the power: the display panel will be on for 2 seconds and give out a sound. The is in red. The
energization status as above indicate, indicates that purifier is in Stand-by mode.
TURN ON THE UNIT
Under Stand-by status, if the Timer on smartphone App is turned on, when the time is reached, the unit will turn on.
This appliance has a Memory function. It’s possible to memory Mode and Speed functions before the unit is turned off.
If you turn on the unit for first time, the defaulted status is AUTO Mode and 2 notches of fan speed.
ON/OFF BUTTON
Under Stand-by status, press to turn on the purifier. All buttons are in white and corresponding mode icons will be
on. Air quality PM2.5 will be displayed on control panel. When no operations are performed for 40 seconds, Display will
enter into half-light status, press any button on control panel, except and the screen will resume to the highlighted
status.
Note: When the unit is turned on, value PM2.5 it’s not stable, display will show “---” will return to indicate the value once
correctly detected.
Under Sleep mode the air quality indicator is off, PM2.5 and fan speed icons will be off. When no operations are performed for
40 seconds, all indicators on display will be off, except icon which will be in half-light status.
MODE BUTTON
When the appliance is operating, press to select the operating mode, as follows:
AUTO mode the purifier automatically switches the fan speed according to the air quality.
SLEEP mode the purifier operates at the low fan speed
TURBO mode the purifier operates at the maximum fan speed

FAN SPEED BUTTON
This purifier has 5 fan speeds. Under working status, touch the button to select the fan speed, each time this button is
pressed the speed changes circularly in the following sequence: 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5
Under any working mode, press to switch to the manual mode and then adjust the desired fan speed.
TIMER BUTTON
This function van be operated only on EWPE SMART App on smartphone. When the Timer function it’s active on the
App, the icon will light up on the control panel, once the set time has been reached, the appliance will switch on.
WIFI SETTING
When turning on the unit, press for 2 seconds to reset Wifi.
Wifi icon will flash and it enters into Wifi configuration status. Wifi configuration must be operated on the EWPE SMART App
installed in smartphone, follow the configuration instructions indicated in manual.
The device includes the radio transmitting module whose CMIIT ID is 2018DP1940.
CHILD LOCK SETTING
Press on EWPE SMART App on smartphone to turn on or turn off the child lock.
TURN OFF THE UNIT
Under working status, press and the appliance will enter in Stand-by mode.
Under working status, if Timer function on App EWPE SMART it’s activated, when the time is reached, the unit will enter
in Stand-by status.
FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR
When the filter needs to be replaced, the icon flashes to remind the user to replace the filter. Composite filter must be
purchased from an authorized service center, for the installation please refer to “Operations before to put in use”.
After the filter replacement, connect the power cable to the power.
Hold button for 2 seconds to reset it, the appliance will enter into Stand-by status. Touch to turn on the purifier.

WIFI GUIDE
Download and installation of EWPE SMART App
1. Make sure that the device (smartphone or Tablet) used is equipped with a standard version of
Android (version 4.4 or higher) and iOS (iOS7.0 or higher) as the operating system. For more
details refer to the App.
2. Units can be connected and controlled only via Wi-Fi network or via Hotspot function.
3. Routers with WEP encryption are not supported.
4. The application interface is universal for all products and many features may not match for all
units. It may vary depending on the operating system used or the update in use. Refer to the
current version.
5. If the access protection on your Router is active in the "MAC Filter" / "MAC address filter" item,
enable the access to the network of the MAC address of the device.
Installation and use instruction
Frame the QR Code using a QR Code Reader
or search for the "EWPE SMART" application in the app store
download and install the application.
Install the App by referring to its guide. Once the installation is complete, the icon appears on
the smartphone's home page.

Warning
Always pull the air purifier's plug out of the power socket before cleaning it, to prevent electric shocks or
malfunctions.
Warning
Do not wet or immerse the air purifier in water, as this may cause electric shocks.
Use a damp and soft cloth to clean the outer surface of the air purifier.
Do not use solvents, petrol, xylene, talcum powder or brushes to clean the unit: these may damage the surface
or colour of the casing.
CLEANING THE FILTER
For more efficiency, clean the composite filter every 2 months, or most frequently if environmental conditions are bad.
To clean the composite filter, take it out from the purifier, remove impurities with a brush or a vaacum cleaner, then
position the filter according the instruction of “Operations before put it use”.
Do not use water or other detergents to clean the filter.
The composite filter belongs to consumable items, which is not covered by the warranty.
FILTER REPLACEMENT
The filter is compounded of different layers in one with multiple functions, it’s not possible to replace the individual filters,
the filter must be replaced in one time.
When the composite filter needs to be replaced, the icon will flash.
If the user wants continue to use the purifier waiting to replace the filter with a new one, long press the button Fan Speed/Reset
for 2 seconds.
Contact an authorized service center to purchase the filter.
CLEANING OF DUST SENSOR
For the dust sensor cleaning, please follow the instructions here below:
1. Clean the air inlet and air outlet of sensor 2. Open the cover putting the finger at the groove

3. Use moist cotton swab to wipe the sensor 4. Close the cover of sensor
lens slightly and then use dry cotton swab to
wipe it to make sure no water left on the sensor
CLEANING OF FRONT PANEL AND INTERNAL PANEL
When the unit operates for long time, there will be a lot of dust inside. Clean the front and decorative panel as below
indicated:

1. The front panel can be washed with water, taking care not to damage it during washing. Once the washing is
finished, hang the panel to naturally dry it, or use a cloth to dry it, then you can reposition it on the appliance.
2. The internal panel must not be washed with water.
Remove the decorative panel and the composite filter, then using a
vacuum cleaner, or a soft brush or a rag, remove the dust accumulated on
the internal panel.
After cleaning, replace the composite filter and the decorative panel.
