This device is not intended to replace any
other safety consideration; that is, adult supervision,
lifeguards, fences, gates, pool covers, locks, and so
forth, and some devices may not detect gradual entry.
Do not rely solely on the Pool Gardian to
monitor your pool’s access by the unauthorized entry
of children, pets or adults.
It is meant to be an added layer of monitoring
for your home/pool security.
Extreme weather-related events such as, high
winds and heavy rain may cause false alarms.

Package Contents Charging
The Pool Guardian is
designed to alert when
the surface water has
been disturbed.
Home System
The Home System is
designed to emit a
audible and visible alarm
when the Pool Guardian
detects a disturbance.
Pool Recommendations
The Pool Guardian comes with a charging cord. Our
Aridea App depicts battery life to allow for convenient
recharging. Ensure unit is powered off when charging.
Unplug from charger before powering on after charge.
Do not charge Pool Guardian while it is still in water
One Pool Guardian functions well with pools 16ft
by 32ft and smaller. If your pool is larger than this
size, call our customer service number to discuss
how many Pool Guardians would work best.
Please be advised, if your pool has accessories like
a waterfall or automatic cleaner, that may interfere
with the Pool Guardian’s performance.

App Installation Home System Installation
•Go to the App Store or Google Play
and Search for “Aridea”
•When you first launch the app you
will be presented with an option to
sign up. Follow onscreen and email
prompts to complete the registration
process.
•Click Add New Device
•If it finds your device click join, if not
click go to settings and manually
connect your device
•Choose or add your Wi-Fi network
•It will tell you when it is successfully
connected.
•Once added proceed with clicking the
default options until you are
presented with the main dashboard.
•Unbox the Home System and install the
device inside the house in the outlet that
is in the closest proximity to the pool.

Pool Guardian Installation Troubleshooting
•Unbox and place the Pool
Guardian on charge with the
USB cord provided.
•Leave it plugged in
(powered off) until fully
charged. Power on and
consult the app for the
battery level.
•Turn Pool Guardian on and
place it in the pool.
App will not connect to WiFi?
Exit out of the app and reapply the App
Installation instructions
Alarm doesn’t sound with motion in pool?
Check sensitivity settings in app and
lower the number until alarm sounds.
Pool Guardian not responding?
Check battery charged level or relocate
the home unit closer to the pool.

Outdoor Storage Information
•Once it is time to close the pool for the season,
take Pool Guardian out of the pool and turn it off.
•Unplug the Home System.
•Place pool guardian and the Home System in a safe,
dry place in which you would store any valuable
electronic device.
Operating Modes
•Once it is time to close the pool for the season,
place pool cover over the pool.
•Unplug the home system.
•Place the home system in a safe, dry place in which
you would store any valuable electronic device.
*This device was not intended or tested with pool covers but may add a
layer of protection if manually tested with your particular cover.
LED Meaning
Rapid Flashing
The inside unit is in
provisioning mode or is
unable to connect to
home WiFi
Slow Pulse (Breathing) Inside unit is successfully
connected to home WiFi
and is operational
App Mode Green Yellow Gray
Armed System is armed and
the pool unit has
confirmed this
status
An armed request
has been made but
the hardware has
not confirmed this
state. The is normal
and can stay in this
state for up to 15
minutes.
The pool unit is not
reporting as
expected. If this
occurs you should
power cycle the
pool unit or charge
as needed.

Bulkhead Controls Bulkhead Notes
Power Button
Power button and future upgrade option
button look similar. The power button will click when
pressed. (Note that the depressed state is powered off,
this is counter-intuitive with most buttons but aids in
ensuring water does not leach into the system)
Charging Port
Ensure that the black seal is pressed into the
charging port at all times when the system is not being
charged. When charging ensure that the port is dry. A
cotton swap works well to remove and moisture before
charging.

Communication Status Communication Notes
Pool Signal
The Pool signal strength is key in the proper
operation in you system. You should attempt to get this
signal as strong as possible if this level drops below 10%
you may see intermittent performance issue. Consider
moving the indoor unit to a location as close as possible
to the home unit to maximize this level.
Internet Signal
This signifies the signal level to your home
internet router. This is also key for communication to
your app and to receive system alerts from your system.
Ensure that this signal is at 10% or more for maximum
system performance.

Tethering Tethering Notes
Tethering
This is an optional step but can enhance
performance if you want prevent the Pool Guardian
from drifting into obstacles and reducing false positive.
Attaching Tether
Attach one end of the suction cup to the white
underside of the Pool Guardian. You can either attach
the other end with the supplied suction cup or tie to a
fixed surface at the edge of the pool.

Warranty is valid through 12 months upon
purchase date.
Warranty is ineligible if Pool Guardian is
dropped or treated incorrectly.
