The Arlec Solar pendant lights provide self
contained LED lighting for all occasions. Power
to operate the LED is derived from batteries
charged using the solar panel located on the
top of the pendant light. The lights can be used
to decorate gardens, highlight pergolas and
eaves for all occasions.
INSTALLATION
• Removethesubassembliesfromthekit.
• Thekitcomeswithahookattachmentwhich
makesiteasytoinstall.
• Appropriatefixingaidsmustbeused(not
providedwiththekit)tohangthependant
light.Ensureitissecurelymounted.
• Setswitch(locatedunderneaththesolar
panel)toONposition.Thesunlightwillcharge
thebatterywhenitfallsonthesolarpaneland
thependantwillilluminateindarkconditions.
NOTE: During daylight hours you can check the
operation of the system by fully covering the solar
panel. A piece of dark cloth or a cardboard box
will suice. If the system is operating normally,
when the solar panel is not receiving any sunlight,
the light will be on. If this is not occurring, check
that the switch is turned ON.

PRECAUTIONS
• Chooseapositionwhichisinfullsunfor
preferablyatleast6hrseachday.Shady
locationswilllimittheabilityofthesolar
paneltofullychargethebatteryresultingin
a reduced running time of the light.
• Takecareifusingladdersforinstallation.
Ensurethatyouhaveastablefootinganddo
not over reach.
• Avoidlocationswhichareilluminatedby
brightlightsegstreetlightsandsecurity
lighting.Nighttimelightingmaycausethe
lightstobedimortonotwork.
• Itisadvisabletocleanthesolarpanelregularly.
The surface of the solar panel should be
free of dust and residue to ensure optimum
operationofthesystem
• Avoidpositionswhereshrubsandbranches
mayshadethesolarpanelformostoftheday.
OPERATION
Thependantlightswillautomaticallyturnon
inthenightwhentheON/OFFbuttonlocated
undersideofthesolarpanelispressedtoON
position. The solar panel will charge the batteries
duringdaytimeandtheamountofchargemay
varydependinguponthesunload.Therun
time of the lights depends upon the charge of
thebatterieswhichmayvaryfrom0-6hrs.
WARRANTY
ArlecguaranteesthisproductinaccordancewiththeAustralianConsumerLaw.Arlecalsowarrants
totheoriginalfirstpurchaserofthisproduct(“you”)fromaretailerthatthisproductwillbefreeof
defectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipforaperiodof12monthsfromthedateofpurchase;provided
the product is not used other than for the purpose, or in a manner not within the scope of the recom-
mendationsandlimitations,specifiedbyArlec,isnewandnotdamagedatthetimeofpurchase,has
not been subjected to abuse, misuse, neglect or damage, has not been modified or repaired without
theapprovalofArlecandhasnotbeenusedforcommercialpurposes(“Warranty”).
IfyouwishtoclaimontheWarranty,youmust,atyourownexpense,returntheproduct,andprovide
proofoforiginalpurchaseandyourname,addressandtelephonenumber,toArlecattheaddress
belowortheretailerfromwhomyouoriginallypurchasedtheproductwithin12monthsfromthe
date of purchase.
Arlecwill(orauthorisetheretailerto)assessanyclaimyoumaymakeontheWarrantyintheabove
mannerandif,inArlec’sreasonableopinion,theWarrantyapplies,Arlecwillatitsownoptionand
expense(orauthorisetheretailerto)replacetheproductwiththesameorsimilarproductorrepair
theproductandreturnittoyouorrefundthepriceyoupaidfortheproduct.Arlecwillbearitsown
expensesofdoingthosethings,andyoumustbearanyotherexpensesofclaimingontheWarranty.
TheWarrantyisinadditiontootherrightsandremediesyoumayhaveunderalawinrelationtothe
producttowhichtheWarrantyrelates.Ourgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcluded
undertheAustralianConsumerLaw.Youareentitledtoareplacementorrefundforamajorfailure
andforcompensationforanyotherreasonablyforeseeablelossordamage.Youarealsoentitledto
havethegoodsrepairedorreplacedifthegoodsfailtobeofacceptablequalityandthefailuredoes
not amount to a major failure.
