ARMA EC131 Ornamental Aluminum Panel Assembly Instructions
Please refer the following details to Steps 1) through 9) above.
1) Align Top Rail and Mid Rail
a) Open the boxes and unwrap and set the components aside ensuring they are not
dinged or damaged in the process. Make sure the bag of screws is not
discarded with the wrapping.
b) Carefully cut or tear the cardboard boxes along the seams and spread them out
onto a flat and level protective work surface to be used during the assembly
process.
c) Align the Top Rail and Mid Rail making sure that the picket holes are in line and
the mount screw holes on both Rails are facing up.
2) Insert Pickets
a) One by one slide the pickets through the Mid Rail and all the way into the Top
Rail.
3) Add Bottom Rail
a) Position the Bottom Rail so the Picket holes are in line with the Pickets and the
mount screw holes are facing up.
b) One by one slide each Picket back into the Bottom Rail about ½ inch.
c) Make sue the holes in the Pickets are all facing up.
4) Slide Top and Bottom Rails together.
a) Once all the pickets are started in the Bottom Rail Picket holes slide the Top and
Bottom Rails towards each other until the Pickets bottom out inside the
Top and Bottom Rails.
5) Fasten Top and Bottom Rails to Pickets
a) Identify the 2 Top Rail Mount Screw and 2 Bottom Rail Mount Screw locations.
b) Check the hole alignment between the first Top Rail Mount Screw hole and the
corresponding Picket hole. Rotate the Picket as required to bring the holes into
alignment.
c) Using the supplied Hex Key, thread the mount screw into the first Top Rail
threaded hole. Do not over tighten.

d) Repeat for the second Top Rail Mount hole and the two Bottom Rail Mount holes.
Do not over tighten.
e) This process will lock the panel together making the remainder of the assembly
process easier.
6) Position the Mid Rail
a) Carefully slide the Mid Rail into position being careful not to scratch or bind
against the Pickets.
b) Identify the location of the 4 Mid Rail Mount Screw holes, rotating the 4 Pickets
required to make sure the Picket holes and Mid Rail holes are appropriately
aligned.
c) Insert the four Picket Mount Screws through the Mid Rail and thread them finger
tight into the Pickets.
d) Using the supplied Hex Key, fasten the Mid Rail onto the Pickets. Do not over
tighten.
7) Mount the Ornamental Panel to the Gate Frame
a) Lift the Ornamental Panel and position the side with the mount screws against
the Gate frame.
8) Align the holes and insert the Fasteners
a) Align the Ornamental Panel Mount holes with the holes in the Gate frame. Shift
the Ornamental Panel left or right as required.
b) With your fingers and the supplied Hex Key, insert the four 1.75” Screws through
the Bottom Rail and thread them into the Gate Frame until ALMOST SNUG. Do
not fully tighten until all your Ornamental Panels are in place.
c) Using the supplied Hex Key, insert the four 1” Screws through the Top Rail and
thread them into the Gate Frame until ALMOST SNUG.
d) Do not fully tighten the Ornamental Panel mount screws until all the Ornamental
Panels are mounted onto the Gate frame.
9) Repeat 7) and 8) for each Ornamental Panel
a) Once all Ornamental Panels are loosely mounted, using the supplied Hex Key,
tighten all the Ornamental Mount Screws until Snug. Do not overtighten!
