The Eliteisreadywhen you aretoutilisethe outputsonthe panel.These
can be used inconjunction withthe real-timeclockorthekeypad to
<CONTROL> outdoorlighting,waterheating orevenyourdoorsfor
accesscontrol.
Add on featureslikethe RX-16 radioreceivercardtooperateanyofthe 5
outputsand the arm/disarmof yourpanel withup to16keyfob radio
pendants.
Makeuseof the unique Voice Board option and open up awholenew
level offlexibilitywith CommandControl.
Inbasictrimyourpanel isreadytocommunicatewithmonitoring stations
and callyou atwork on yourcellphone orpagergenerating alarmtones.
Add the Voice Board and yourpanelwill call you withalarmmessagesin
yourownvoice.
You can phone yourhometocheck orchange the statusofanyoutput
using the keyson yourphone.

<MEMORY>
YourEliteV5alarmpanel hasan eventmemory whichstores,the 63 most
recenteventsincluding allalarmevents,allsystemeventssuchasmains
failureetcaswell assettingsand un-settings.Thisevent memory isdisplayed
via the keypad withthe mostrecenteventshownfirstand subsequentevents
following indescending orderfromnewesttooldest.Eacheventisseparated
byabeep tone.
Thereareanumberofeventswhicharestored inmemory whichdo not havea
specificindicatorassociated withthemsuchasPanicandDuress.Other
eventssuchastampersand lowbattery areshared acrossmanydevices.For
thisreason the following tablehasbeen created.Thistabledetailswhich
indicatorlightscorrespond towhicheventsinmemory.
Toviewthe eventmemory,press the <MEMORY>button.Toclearflashing
memoryLEDpress the <MEMORY> then <ENTER> keys.

The Elite16D can accept asmanyas24 different usercodesof1up to6digits
inlength.
Yourinstallerwillset you up toenteryourmastercode and fromthereyou can
be incharge of adding orremovingcodesforotherfamilymembersorstaff
who you wishtohaveaccess.
Toaddanewuser code:
Making surethe panel isnot armed, keyinthe following sequence:
<PROGRAM> mastercode<ENTER>
The programlight will comeon steady,indicating readinesstoaccept new
programming.
Toload,forexample, usercode 3withacode 43210, keyinthe following
sequence: <PROGRAM> 3<ENTER> 43210 <ENTER>
(Ifthereisan existingcode alreadyinthat address it willbe flashed back on
the keypad display. Enteringthe newcode willdeletethe oldand the new
code willbe flashed back toyou).
The panelwillgive3short beepstoindicatecorrect entry or1long tone if not
accepted.
Toremoveorclearausercode number1234 fromuser3, keyinthe following
sequence <PROGRAM> 3<ENTER><EXCLUDE><ENTER>
Toexit out of programmode key <PROGRAM><ENTER>
Tochangedialler phonenumbers:
Yourpanelwill accept up to6phone numbers. Yourpanelcan be can be
programmed todial alloranyof thesedepending on the eventwhichhas
occurred.
(The sixphone numbers areat programaddress221 through to226)
Making surethe panel isnot armed, keyinthe following sequence:
<PROGRAM>MASTERCODE<ENTER> followedby
<PROGRAM>221 <ENTER>
The current phone numberat thisaddresswill be flashed back toyou onthe
keypad LEDs. Ifthisisnot the numberyou wishtochange try thenext
address, 222 and soon tillyou locatethe numberyou wishtochange.
Simplykey in thenewnumbersthenpress<ENTER>
The newnumberswillbe flashed back toconfirmacceptance.
COMMAND CONTROL: operating instructions:
1)Dial yourhomefromanytouchtone phone the panelwillpickup the
line afteryourprogrammed numberofringswithacontinuoustone for5
seconds, (faxdefeatisalsooptional).
2)Keyyour4digit code,afterthe 5second tone,forthe area you wish
tocontrol.You can controland confirmthe statusof youralarmpanels3
separatepartitions.Togglebetween arm and disarmwiththe "*"key.
3)Keyyour4digit code foroutputcontrol.afterthe 5second tone
e.g. If yourcode foroutput control is1234 and you wishtoturnon output
5.When the panelpicksup yourincoming calland afterthe 5second
tone, simplykeyin1234 followed by5.Yourvoicemessage willgiveyou
the current statusofoutput 5.Tochange the statustoggleon oroff using
the "*"key.
4)Ifyoumakeamistakeat anystage, press the "#"keyand re-enter
yourcode.
5)When finished simplyhang up and thepanelwilldisconnect
automaticallyafter15seconds.
TheKeypad
YourElite16D AlarmControllerhasbeen designed withyou the userin
mind.Clearlynamed backlitkeysmaycost alittlemorebutmean you
don't havetorememberarcane keycombinationstoachievearesult. As
witheverything about the Elite16D even keyfunctionscan be fine tuned
toyourspecificneeds. Pleaseaskyourinstaller.
Thefollowing are thename keysand theirmainfunctions:
<ARM>
Press thisbutton toarmyoursystem,the Armed light willcomeon.Your
panelwillbeginbeeping it'sexit delay.During thistimeitisoptionalto
pressthe <ARM> keyagaintodisarm.(toprevent accidentalarming,the
panelcan be programmed torequireacode toarm.Todo soenteryour
code followed bythe <ENTER> key).
Todisarm, enter your1to6digitcodethenpressthe <ENTER> key.
Ifyoursystemhasthe radiocardinstalled yoursystemcan alsobe armed
ordisarmedwithyourremotekeyfob pendant.
<PANIC>
Thisspecial key'sfunction isbest programmed byyourinstallertosuit
yourindividualsituation.Most commonlyitisused inapanicsituation to
sound onlythe outside siren and perhapscallamonitoring station. Apanic
commandcan be instant orrequirea3second delaytoprevent false
alarm.
Withthe optionalvoiceboarditcan be programmedtocallyourspouse,
friendsoratrusted neighbourswithamessage fromyourequesting help.
(A Panic can alsobe triggered byadedicated MonitorMode Keypad ora
radiopendant keyprogrammedasinstant ordelayed panic).
<CONTROL>
Anotherspecialfunction keythatcan be programmed tocontrol asingle
function.Toggleon oroff bypressing the <CONTROL> key(ControlLED
willilluminate).Thiskeyisoften used toenablea Day-zone, (adetector
that can be part armed whileyou arehomebut workinginanotherpart of
the building).
Inthismode it can be programmed tooperateabuzzertoletyou know
you haveavisitor. When the systemisfullyarmed it changestobecomea
fullalarmzone.
Inaddition,enteryour4digit command control code and anyofthe5on
boardoutputscan be operated, if programmed todo so, bypressing the
numberkeythat matchesthe output,toggling on oroff. (Zone LED'son
the keypad willindicatestatusofeachoutput).
<MONITOR>
Monitormode allowsyou tomonitorthe partsofthe houseyou willnotbe
inatnight,toenableyoutofeelmoresecureat home. Pre-selected zones
orsensorsinareasyou oryourfamilywillnot be,can bearmed withthis
keywhileyou areinthe building and programmed togointoyourchoiceof
alarmstatesiftriggered.Aswitheverything elseon the panelthistoo can
be tailored toyourneeds. Forexampleyoumaywishtohavethe
detectorsinyourgarage and lounge sound onlythe little buzzerinthe
keypad byyourbed atnighttowarnyou ofanintruderwhilesilently
dialling forassistance.
Tousethisfeature pressthe <MONITOR> key andtheexitdelay will
sound.Thearmedlightonthekeypadwillflash.
Todisarm, press the <MONITOR> key again.TheElitecanbe
programmedtorequire youruser codeandpress <ENTER> to
disarm.
<EXCLUDE>
Thiskeyallowsyou totemporarilyexclude orby-pass zonesofyour
choicewhen arming yourpanel.The excluded zoneswillgo back to
normalthe nexttimeyou disarm the panel. Atypicalexamplewouldbe if
you wanted toletyourpetrun around inthe garage when yoursystemis
armed,you couldchoosetoexclude thatdetector(sayZone 1)fromthe
system.
Toexcludezone1, key in thefollowingsequence:

Toexcludezone9, key in thefollowingsequence:
<ARM><EXCLUDE><EXCLUDE> 1<ENTER>
(When the second exclude ispressedthe AUX. lightwillglowtoindicate
zones9-16 can nowbe excluded)
Itisadvisableto vacatethesecuredarea before theexitdelay
expires.
<ENTER>
Thiskeyisused toaccept aseriesofbutton presses.
Ifyoumakeamistakewhileentering yourcode,press the <ENTER> key
and start again.
Pleasenotethat 4invalidcode entrieswillcausean alarm activation (the
sirenswillsound). Thisistoprotect youralarmsystemagainst tampering.
<PROGRAM>
Thiskeyisused togetintoprogrammode.Thereare2levelsofprogram
mode, USER modeand INSTALLERmode. Foryourprotection, your
panelcan be programmed torequireyourmastercode toallowaccess
installerprogrammode.
