The sustain function lets you produce a natural sustain
effect as you play by pressing a footswitch. Plug an optional
footswitch into this jack and use it to switch sustain ON /OFF.
A standard pair of stereo headphones can be connected to
the PHONES jack for private practice. The internal stereo
speaker system is automatically shut off when headphones
are plugged into this jack.
Note:
Do not listen with the headphones at a high volume for long
periods of time. Doing so may cause hearing loss.
Plug one end of a connection cable into the AUDIO OUT jack,
then plug the other end of the cable into the AUX IN of the
amplifier.
Note:
To avoid damaging the speakers, please ensure that the
volume has been set to the minimum level before connecting

Auto bASS chord
Single-fingering
Multi-fingering
The Auto Bass Chord [A.B.C.] is a system of bass chords
to accompany your playing. When this mode is enabled
your left hand will be in control of the bass chords using the
bottom 19 keys, or left hand range. When you press the
accompaniment keys the corresponding chord will display on
the LCD screen.
Note:
Holding down the [A.B.C] button will enter Split Point Set
Mode. The LCD will show Split Pt to reflect this, and the
number at which your keyboard is split. The default is 19.
While holding down the button you can press any key to reset
where the Split Point will finish. The number will be reflected
on the LCD screen.
Single-finger accompaniment makes it simple to produce
beautifully orchestrated accompaniment using major,
seventh, minor & minor-seventh chords by pressing a
minimum number of keys on the Auto Accompaniment
section of the keyboard.
This mode lets you play chords on the accompaniment keys
using chord formations of three or more notes. The chord
names appear on the display. The number of keys you press
determines the type of chords you are playing.

Midi functionS
whAt iS Midi?
Midi terMinAlS
By using the MIDI functions you can expand the possibilities
of your instrument. This section explains what MIDI is, what
it can do, and how you can use MIDI with your instrument.
MIDI is an acronym for Musical Instrument Digital Interface.
This allows electronic musical instruments to communicate
with each other by sending and receiving compatible Note,
Control Change, Program Change and various other types
of MIDI data. This means the instrument can control a MIDI
device by transmitting this information.
The instrument can also be controlled by the incoming
MIDI messages, automating parts of the instrument like
determining Tone Generator Mode, selecting MIDI channels,
Voices & Effects, change Parameter Values, and of course,
play the Voices specified.
MIDI messages can be divided in two main groups: Channel
Messages and System Messages.
MIDI Connection
The keyboard is equipped with a standard USB interface
instead of conventional MIDI IN and MIDI OUT connectors.
The USB interface allows the keyboard to be connected
to a computer without a separate MIDI interface. Most
computers will automatically recognise the keyboard as a
MIDI interface, allowing MIDI messages to be received from,
or sent to, music programs running on your system.
Note:
Activate the computer from a sleep/suspended/standby
mode before connecting the USB cable. Connect the USB
cable to the instrument and a computer before powering
on the keyboard.

Problem
The speakers produce a “pop” sound whenever the
power is turned ON or OFF.
No sound is produced when the keyboard is played.
When using a mobile phone, noise is produced.
The auto accompaniment does not play back even
when Sync is in standby condition and a key is pressed.
Possible Cause and Solution
This is normal and is no cause for alarm.
Make sure the master volume is set at appropriate levels.
Using a mobile phone in close proximity to the instrument
may produce interference. To prevent this, turn off the mobile
phone or use it further away from the instrument.
You may be trying to start accompaniment by playing a
key in the right-hand range of the keyboard. To start the
accompaniment with Sync Start, make sure to play a key in
the left-hand range of the keyboard.
