Thank you for buying the New Charterhouse Armoire
Before beginning assembly, please take a few minutes to read these instructions.
Lay the parts out on a clean, soft surface such as a carpeted floor and compare with the
Parts Check List on the next page. Do not throw away any packaging until you are sure
that you have all the parts.
If for any reason you wish to return the product, you must disassemble the components
and use the original packaging.
The product must be assembled by an adult. There are small parts: keep small children
clear of the assembly area.
If you have a problem with this product please call our Customer Service Team, who will
be glad to help.
We can usually provide replacement and / or spare parts promptly; it will help us if you
can identify the specific part using the check list in the next section.
Periodically check all fittings to ensure that none have come loose.
The Amoire must be set up on an even and stable surface.
Keep away from direct sources of heat, such as electric, gas or coal fires.
Using this furniture other than for its intended purpose could cause damage to the
structure or serious injury to your child.
To avoid the danger of the Armoire falling over in use, the securing block must be fitted
and used. according to the instructions
Clean your Armoire by wiping with a damp cloth & drying with a soft cloth. Never clean
with abrasives, chemical cleaners or household polishes.
Take care when handling or moving the cabinet. Careless handling can damage wooden
furniture. Try to lift rather than drag.

Parts Check List
Secure unit & fix handles.
1x Armoire Base (assembled)
1x Armoire Top (assembled)
You will also need a Screwdriver
for hinge adjustment (not supplied)
You need: screw driver
A. Open the drawer and doors, then with a screw driver
remove the knobs from the inside face of each door and
drawer and attach it to the outside as shown.
You need: 4 x wood screws
With a minimum of two people carefully lift the assembled
top onto the assembled base, ensuring that all is aligned.
The top section simply sits into the base.
A. Fix the upper unit to the lower base using the 4 x wood
screws supplied using the 4 through holes provided in the
lower shelf of the unit.

Door Hinge Adjustment.
Adjusting the Door (Horizontal movement).
The doors can also be adjusted horizontally by tightening or loosening the single screw
in the centre of each individual hinge as shown below. Turn the pre-fitted screws
anticlockwise to pull the doors outwards (away from each other) and clockwise to pull the
doors inwards (towards each other).
Adjusting the Door (Vertical movement).
The doors can also be adjusted vertically by loosening the two screws that attach the
mounting plates to the side panels as shown below. Once the mounting plate screws
have been loosened the doors can be lifted or lowered to adjust the final position. Once
you have positioned the doors as required, re-tighten the mounting plate screws to
secure the doors in place.
Adjusting the Door (Inward & Outward movement).
Once fitted, the doors can be adjusted so that they can move inwards or outwards by
loosening the single screw that is used to connect the hinge to the mounting plate. Once the
screws have been loosened the doors can be pulled outwards or pushed inwards adjusting
the final position of the doors. Once you have moved the doors into its required position, re-
tighten each screw per hinge to secure the doors in place.
Hinge adjustment and securing unit to wall.
You need: securing block, screw driver and
fittings.
Secure the block to the back edge of the top as
shown. Move the Amoire into its final position
close to the wall and fasten the metal plate to a
sound wall using a suitable wall fixing and
screw (not supplied) appropriate to that wall.
This work should be carried out by a competent
person or a professional.
