Safety information
Electrical Safety
• Beforeinstallingorremovingsignalcables,ensurethatthepowercablesforthesystemunit
and all attached devices are unplugged.
• Topreventelectricalshockhazard,disconnectthepowercablefromtheelectricaloutlet
before relocating the system.
• Whenaddingorremovinganyadditionaldevicestoorfromthesystem,contactaqualied
service technician or your dealer. Ensure that the power cables for the devices are unplugged
before the signal cables are connected. If possible, disconnect all power cables from the
existing system before you service.
• Ifthepowersupplyisbroken,do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a qualified service
technician or your dealer.
Operation Safety
• Servicingofthisproductorunitsistobeperformed by trained service personnel only.
• Beforeoperatingtheserver,carefullyreadallthemanualsincludedwiththeserverpackage.
• Beforeusingtheserver,makesureallcablesarecorrectlyconnectedandthepowercablesare
not damaged. If any damage is detected, contact your dealer as soon as possible.
• Toavoidshortcircuits,keeppaperclips,screws,andstaplesawayfromconnectors,slots,
sockets and circuitry.
• Avoiddust,humidity,andtemperatureextremes. Place the server on a stable surface.
• Thethumbscrewsonthechassisshouldbetightenedwithatoolafterbothinitialinstallation
and subsequent access to the panel.
• Theproductissuitableformountingonconcreteorothernon-combustiblesurfacesonly.
This product is equipped with a three-wire power cable and plug for the user’s safety. Use the
power cable with a properly grounded electrical outlet to avoid electrical shock.
Restricted Access Location
The product is intended for installation only in a Computer Room where:
• AccesscanonlybegainedbySERVICEPERSONSorbyUSERSwhohavebeeninstructedabout
the reasons for the restrictions applied to the location and about any precautions that shall be

Lithium-Ion Battery Warning
CAUTION! Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the

Chapter 1: Getting started

Headphone jack. The port connects to a headphone or speaker.
Microphone jack. The port connects to a microphone.
USB 2.0 ports. The port connects to USB devices.
USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports. The port connects to USB devices.
Power button. Press this button to turn on your Gaming Station.
Reset button. Press this button to restart your Gaming Station.
HDD/SSD access LED. This LED blinks when the system is accessing the internal
HDD / SSD devices.

DisplayPort. The DisplayPort sends high-performance digital output to a display
device such as an LCD TV or HD monitor.
HDMI port. The HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) port supports a Full-HD
device such as an LCD TV or monitor to allow viewing on a larger external display.
DVI port. This DVI (Digital Visual Interface) port allows you to connect to an external
display.
LAN (RJ-45) ports. These ports allow Gigabit connection to a Local Area Network (LAN)
through a network hub.

USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports. These port connects to USB devices.
USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C™ port. This port connects to USB Type-C™ devices.

USB 3.1 Gen 2 port. This port connects to USB devices.
Expansion slot brackets. Remove the expansion slot bracket when installing an
expansion card.
Graphic Cards. The display outputs may vary by different graphic card options.
Air vents. These vents allow air ventilation.
DO NOT block the air vents on the chassis. Always provide proper ventilation for your Gaming
Station.
VGA port. This VGA (Video Graphics Adapter) port is for a VGA monitor or other
VGA-compatible devices.
Optical S/PDIF Out port. This port connects to the optical S/PDIF devices.
Rear Speaker Out port (black). This port connects to the rear speakers in a 2.1, 4.1, 5.1,
or 7.1-channel configuration.
Center/Subwoofer port (orange). This port connects to the center/subwoofer
speakers.
Microphone port (pink). This port connects to a microphone.
Line Out port (lime). This port connects to a headphone or speaker. In a 2.1, 4.1, 5.1,
or 7.1-channel configuration, the function of this port becomes Front Speaker Out.
Supported by ASUS Audio Wizard.
Line In port (light blue). This port connects to the audio sources in a 2.1, 4.1, or
5.1-channel configuration, and connects to the side speakers in a 7.1-channel
configuration.
Refer to the audio configuration table below for the function of the audio ports in a 2.1, 4.1, 5.1,
or 7.1-channel configuration.

Power connector. Plug the power cord to this connector.
RATING: 100-127/200-240Vac, 10/5A, 50/60Hz
PSU power switch. This switch allows you to turn the PSU on or off.
Setting up your Gaming Station
This section guides you through connecting the main hardware devices, such as the external
monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cord, to your Gaming Station.
Connecting an external monitor
Using the ASUS Graphics Card
Connect your monitor to the display output port on the discrete ASUS Graphics Card.
To connect an external monitor using the ASUS Graphics Card:
1. Connect a monitor to a display output port on the ASUS Graphics Card.
2. Plug the monitor to a power source.
The display output ports on the ASUS Graphics Card may vary with different models.

Connecting a USB keyboard and a USB mouse
Connect a USB keyboard and a USB mouse to the USB ports on the rear panel of your Gaming
Station.
Connecting the power cord
Connect one end of the power cord to the power connector on the rear panel of your Gaming
Station and the other end to a power source.

Power button
Turning your Gaming Station ON
This section describes how to turn on your Gaming Station after setting up your Gaming Station.
Turning your Gaming Station ON
To turn your Gaming Station ON:
1. Turn your monitor ON.
2. Press the power button on your Gaming Station.
3. Wait until the operating system loads automatically.

Connecting a USB storage device
This Gaming Station provides USB 2.0, USB 3.1 gen1 and USB 3.1 gen2 ports on the front and rear
panels. The USB ports allow you to connect USB devices such as storage devices.
To connect a USB storage device:
Insert the USB storage device to your Gaming Station.

Connecting Headphone and Mic
Connecting microphone and speakers
This Gaming Station comes with microphone ports and speaker ports on both the front and rear
panels. The audio I/O ports located on the rear panel allow you to connect 2.1-channel, 4.1-channel,
5.1-channel, and 7.1-channel stereo speakers.
