Disassembly Procedure
Please follow the information provided in this section to perform the complete
disassembly procedure of the notebook. Be sure to use proper tools
described before.
SUS A6Jc/Jm Notebook consists of various modules. This chapter describes the
procedures for the complete notebook disassembly. In addition, in between procedures,
the detailed disassembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your
service needs.
The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:

Battery Module
BATTERY The illustration below shows how to remove the battery module.
1. Unlock and hold the latches, and remove the battery.

2. Slide the battery latch (No.1) to unlock and Firmly slide the other latch (No.2) to the top and
remove the battery
Memory Module
The A6Jc/Jm Notebook do not have onboard RAM. There are two SO-DIMM sockets
for installing SO-DIMM RAM. It can upgrade the total memory size up to 2GB with a
1GB module on each socket.
Removing Memory module
1. Remove 2 screws and remove DIMM door.

2. Take the memory DIMM cover away as the picture shows.

Wireless Lan Module
The illustration below show show how to remove the Wireless LAN module

1. Remove 2 Antenna cables from Wireless LAN Module.

2. Take the Wireless Lan away as the picture shows.

HDD Module
HDD MODULE The illustrations below show how to remove the HDD module from the notebook.

Removing HDD Module
1. Remove 1 screw and lift the HDD cover away.

2. Remove the sponch and pull the hard disk module toward the direction of the arrow and lift it
up and take it out.

1. Remove 2 screws.
2. Remove the Mylar.

3. Push the metal plate with a screw driver and pull the ODD out.
CPU MODULE

The illustrations below show how to remove the CPU module from the notebook.

1. Remove 2 screws.
2. Remove the mylar.

3. Remove 4 screws aside the CPU. And take away the thermal module.

4. Turn the non-removable screw here 180 degrees counter-clockwise to loosen the CPU.

MODULE The illustrations below show how to disassemble the LCD module. The module
contains LCD panel, Inverter board, LCD Hinge bracket, Hinge cover, LCD front
cover, LCD back cover.

Disassembling LCD Module
1. Remove 3 screws on both side.

2. Remove both hinge covers
3. Remove 2 screws on the harness cover and take it away.
4. Remove 1 piece of tape.

5. Remove 1 screw and disconnect the connector.
6. Remove 1 screw and disconnect the connector.
7. Remove 2 screws on both ends.

8. Remove the LCD module from system.

Disassembling LCD Module
1. Remove 5 rubber pads and 5 screws(M2.5 x 8L) from LCD module.

2. Prying the inside edges of the bezel, then separate it from LCD back cover and take LCD front
bezel away.
Disassembling inverter board
3. Remove 1tape and disconnect LED cable.
4. Disconnect inverter cable and take away the inverter board.
Disassembling LCD panel
1. Remove 10 screws and take away the LCD panel.

2. Finally, Remove 4 screws on the right LCD bracket, and 4 screws on the left side to disassemble
LCD brackets.
3. Remove one tape and disconnect the coaxial cable.

Disassembling speaker
1. Tear of the tape and disconnect the cable from Video Camera module.
2. Disconnect the cable.
3. Remove all tapes.

4. Remove 4 screws and take away the both cable.
5. Take away the both cable.
Keyboard Module

1. Remove 2 screws and Unlock 3 keyboard latches.

2. Disconnect the cable and take away the keyboard
MAIN BOARD

TOP CASE
REMOVAL
Main Board Module
The illustrations below show how to disassemble and remove the Main Board
module of the notebook.
Removing Top Case
1. Disconnect the Touchpad cable.
2. Turn over the NB and remove all screws on bottom case.

3. Remove 2 screws here.
4. Remove 1 screw on Top case.
5. Separate the Top Case and Bottom case.

Removing Touchpad bracket
TOUCHPAD
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the Touchpad cable.
2. Remove All screws and take away the bracket
3. Take away the Touchpad.

Disassembling Bluetooth Module
1. Tear off 1 piece of tape and disconnect the Bluetooth cable then take it away.

Disassembling Speaker Module
2. Disconnect the speaker cable.

3. Remove right side and left side 2 screws then take away the both speaker.

Removing Main Board

REMOVAL 1. Remove 4 screws on the M/B and remove the M/B from the bottom case.
Removing Modem board
MODEM BOARD
REMOVAL 1. Remove 2 screws and disconnect the cable.

2. Take away the modem board.
3. Disconnect the cable.

5. Disconnect the cable and remove 4 screws on CPU fan and take away the Fan.
