Disassembly / Assembly Procedure
Introduction
This section describes how to disassemble PDA G 2. any of the integrated devices used in
this phone are vulnerable to damage. Ensure adequate static protection is in place when
handling, shipping, and servicing any internal components.
Recommended Tools
 Anti-Static at (Ground Cord included)
 Anti-Static Wrist Strap
 Torque Screw Driver (T5 type, torque is set to 1.2kg-cm)
 Tweezers
 Plastic blade

Disassembly procedure
The following set of diagrams will demonstrate the correct sequence and action to disassemble G 2.
 Step 1
Take the stylus away from the PDA.
 Step 2
Remove the battery case and take the battery away.

Remove 4 screws on the bottom case and pry 3 sides of the bottom case to release the hooks. Then
remove the bottom case from the I/O side.

Remove power button, side key and the shuttle key on the bottom case. Then remove the speaker.
 Step 5
Release the GS /GPS antenna FPC and tear off the FPC from the bottom case.

Open the camera connector and take the camera away.
 Step 7
Remove 2 screws on the SI board by order 1, 2 and then remove the SI board.

Disconnect the keypad FPC and the LCD FPC.
 Step 9
Softly pry the edges of the top case to release the main board from the hooks and then remove the main
board from the top case.

Remove the speaker rubber and the IC rubber from the main board.
 Step11
Lift up the keypad FPC then open the black touch lens connector to disconnect the touch lens FPC.
Remove the touch pad FPC then.

Release the LCD panel from the hooks and lift it away from the top case. Then remove the receiver by a
pair of tweezers.

Assembly Procedure
It is carried out in the exact reverse sequence as the disassembly.
 Step 1
Install the receiver on the front cover by a pair of tweezers.
 Step 2
Connect the touch lens FPC with the touch pad FPC and install the touch FPC in the top case.
 Step 3
Install the IC rubber and the speaker rubber on the main board.

 Step 4
Install the main board in the top case and press the main board into the hooks properly.
 Step 5
Connect the LCD FPC and close its connector. Then connect the key pad FPC.

Install the SI board and secure 2 screws on it by order 1, 2.

Install the camera and close its connector.

Paste the GS /GPS antenna FPC on the bottom case and arrange the FPC.
 Step 9
Install the speaker, shuttle key, side key and the power key.

 Step 10
Engage the bottom case from the I/O side, then switch the Hold Key on the bottom case and the main
board to the same direction. Install the bottom case with the device and press four sides to secure the
bottom case into the hooks. Fix 4 screws on the bottom case by order.

Install the battery and the battery cover. Slide on the battery cover.
 Step 12
Then install the speaker by a pair of tweezers.
