Initial operation
The reseller is to unpack the unit, ensure
that the components and accessories listed
in the scope of delivery are all present and
undamaged, and give the buyer the initial
instructions on use of the aid. Above all the
reseller should read through the complete
present user manual carefully, in order to
then explain it to the customer in detail.
This way, with help of the reseller, the user as
well as the attendant must become familiar
with the correct operation of the aid.
Once the demonstration has been complet-
ed, the reseller must ensure the user and/
or the assistant have fully understood the
basic functions of the equipment. This is the
only way to prevent the user from dangerous
situations.
The above mentioned requirements must be
observed for first use and also for reuse.
The seller must give instruction for use, as
well as explain the basic functions of the
device according to MPG (medical products
law) to qualified staff.

Assembly and adjustment
One-man assembly:
• Liftolet can be mounted by one person.
Space requirement:
• If the Liftolet is used by a wheel chair user,
then the entry side is according to the
space available.
Preparing for self-assembly:
• Unpack the product and remove the pack-
ing materials.
• Ensure that all supplied components are
present and undamaged.
• Have the required tools, components and
mounting elements ready to hand before
beginning the assembly.
• The floor area on which the Liftolet is to be
installed should be level. If the floor sur-
face is uneven, measures should be taken
on-site to produce a surface that is even or
suitably leveled out.
• Ensure that the floor area on which the
Liftolet is to be installed is dry and clean.
• When installing the Liftolet without the
base plate, 6 stainless steel (at least V2A/
AISI304) flat-head screws are to be used
for the secure anchoring of the device. The
specialist responsible for the installation
must ensure that the strength of the floor
is sufficient for both the load and the se-
lected mounting type of the Liftolet.
• The specialist is also responsible for the
correct selection of a mounting system
(dowel, anchor etc.) appropriate to the
existing conditions at the site. The person
carrying out the works must observe the
structural requirements for dowel anchor-
ing.

Assembly and adjustment
Mounting without use of the base plate:
• After the conditions are given for
mounting, place the Liftolet over the WC
and position correctly.
Attention:
When positioning the Liftolet, do not
take hold of the cable channel (6),
carrier plate (4) or support handles
(7), however only hold on to the lifting
columns.
• Lower the carrier plate of the WC onto the
WC bowl by loosening the 3 screws located
underneath the toilet seat on either side.
• Fasten the 3 screws on either side again
once the carrier plate rests on the WC.
Attention:
Hold the carrier plate when loosening
the screws to prevent it from falling
onto the WC.
• It is recommended to raise the Liftolet
once before marking the bore holes onto
the floor to ensure the Liftolet does not
brush against anything, also when the lid
is open.
Attention:
Ensure the Liftolet does not fall over
whilst rising.
• Only after this test mark the holes on the
floor for the mounting flanges and carry
out the base fixing. When tightening the
floor mounting screws, ensure the Liftolet
is not braced by eventual floor uneven-
ness. In such a case the mounting flanges
should be adequately supported.
• Please note that the structural rules are to
be observed. It must be ensured that the
floor condition can withstand the load and
no cables in the ground are damaged.
Non-liability
The person carrying out the works is soley
responsible for proper and professional
mounting of the Liftolet. The manufacturer
accepts no liability for the carried out works
or any damages resulting from this.
Silicone joint
Sanitary silicone must be properly attached
around the mounting flange or when using
a base plate use silicone joint with sanitary
silicone around the base plate.

Assembly and adjustment
Initial Operation
On first use of the system and in case of error
it is necessary to restart the system by follow-
ing the steps given below.
First installation / initialization of the drive
system:
• If there is an audible signal (simple BEEP)
when the function buttons UP or DOWN
are pressed, the system is ready for use
but the position of the actuators is either
unknown or more than 5mm apart.
• Press and hold the DOWN button (rear
button on the right or left armrest) until
the actuators begin to move.
• Now press and hold the button again until
the actuators have reached the lower end
position.
• Next press and hold the UP button (front
button on the right or left armrest) until
the lifting columns have moved approxi-
mately 5cm upwards.
• Then press and hold the DOWN but-
ton again until the lifting columns have
reached the lower end position again and
the control system has switched off both
drives.
• The drive sensors are now aligned.
• The system is now initialized and can be
put into operation.
“Position Lost” during operation:
• If the system is overloaded or there is a
height difference between the actuators of
5mm or more, the system stops.
• When the function buttons UP or DOWN
are pressed, a BEEP is heard.
• The system must be initialized. Follow
the instructions given in the section “First
installation / initialization of the drive
system”.
Failure to operate / control error / Fatal
Error Reset:
• In the event that the system fails to func-
tion and it is also not possible to reinitialize
the actuators, there could be a control
software error.
• In this case, the control system software
can be reset to its former state prior to the
occurrence of the error through a so-called
“Fatal Error Reset”.
• To carry out the Fatal Error Reset, press
and hold both function buttons (UP and
DOWN) for approximately 20 seconds.
• During the reset a double-BEEP will be
heard. After this sound has subsided the
reset is successfully completed.
Attention!
If the system is unable to be operated
after both initialization and a Fatal Er-
ror Reset, please contact our customer
service.

our technical customer service at

Assembly and adjustment
Functionality:
Push buttons are embedded in all offered
support arms for raising and lowering the WC
seat lift together with the support arms.
Sit down:
To sit down, firstly raise the toilet seat
until one can comfortably sit down from a
standing position onto the edge of the toilet
seat. At the touch of a button, the seat and
armrests are then simultaneously lowered to
the standard toilet seat height. Thereby the
user is lowered to his/hers normal seating
position.
Stand up:
It is just as comfortable to stand up as it is to
sit down. At the touch of a button, the seat
and support arms are lifted upwards until the
user is straightened up again.
Attention:
In doing so, ensure the feet always
stay firmly on the ground. Max user
weight 150 kg.
Intimate care:
The Liftolet is optionally available with
an opening at the front of the seat, which
facilitates intimate washing. For this the seat
should be slightly raised.
Support arms:
The support arms can be folded upwards.
Attention:
To prevent unintended operation for
example by children, the support arms
should be folded upwardly when not
in use.
Attention:
Please also observe the safety instruc-
tions for the power supply.

Assembly and adjustment
For battery operated model (rechargeable
battery) to charge the battery:
The battery needs to be charged at least
24 hour before first use of the WC seat lift
in order to ensure proper function and to
prolong the lifetime of the batteries. The
battery charger is designed for operation on
230 V alternating current. Other versions are
available upon request.
To charge plug the recharger cable (included
in delivery) into the relevant socket (A) of the
control unit. Now, plug the power plug into
the socket.
A charging indicator is not available.
When in use never allow the battery to
discharge completely (observe charg-
ing indicator)! Ensure the battery is
recharged (overnight) when in use on
a daily basis. The battery cannot be
overcharged as the battery charger
switches automatically as soon as the
battery is fully charged.
The battery is only to be charged in
dry conditions.
