Before starting the repair please read the referring chapters of the repair
instructions thoroughly!
HAZARD NOTE! Increased risk of jamming and squeezing with all works related
to the lifting mechanism within the area of the scissors!
NOTE! The sequence of work has to follow according to the repair
instructions!
I. REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS SEAT
The seat – consisting of base plate, lifting scissors and seat plate – is available
as one complete spare part.
NOTE:
•Seat of Orca (1471050) with a straight end at the back side.
•Seat of Orca XL (1471103) with a curved end at the back side and an
additional „XL“-mark on the lifting scissor.

Attachment parts in the area of the spindle foot
1. Insert the flat spring (15415) into the base plate in the right positional
arrangement. The opening angle shows to the back edge of the base
plate.
2. Insert latch (16449) into base plate directly above the flat spring.
3. Insert bushing latch (16448) into the base plate coming bottom-up.
NOTE: Bear against the latch while pressing the bushing latch into
the base plate.
4. Slip pressure springs (2x 16794) onto the pins of the base plate.
5. Slip lockings (16791 + 16792) onto the pressure springs and press them
into the base plate. Before pressing first apply the locking inclined.
NOTE: Consider different lockings (left and right).
NOTE: The locking has to engage audible.
6. Function test of lockings: Lockings can be pressed down and are
returned into their home position.

Attachment parts in the area of the base plate
1. Screw in the suction cups with thread (2x 15071) into the rear threads of
the base plate.
2. Feed in the suction cups with toggle (2x 15072) coming bottom-up
through the opening at the front end of the base plate and pull them to
the front. The strap shows to the rear end. Pull the suction cup until the
nib at the suction cup ends in the slot of the base plate. Then feed the
strap from bottom-up and fix it in the bearing at the end of the opening.
3. First thread the suction cup lid (2x 15121) from above onto the neck of
the suction cup then push it into the base plate.
NOTE: The suction cup lid has to engage audible.

Attachment parts in the area of the lifting scissors
1. Bolts (4x 15105) to fix the gliding shoe (4x 16446) at the lifting scissor.
The bolts are plugged into the corresponding openings at lifting scissors
and gliding shoe.
NOTE: Consider the bolts to be plugged from outside in.
2. Bolts (Orca: 4x 16679; Orca XL: 4x 1471088) to fix the lifting scissors at
seat and base plate. The bolts are plugged into the corresponding
openings at seat plate, base plate and lifting scissors.
NOTE: Consider the bolts of the base plate to be plugged from
outside in. The bolts of the seat plate to be plugged from inside
out.
NOTE: The stainless steel bolts of Orca XL have to be secured with
provided retaining ring. Retaining ring may not be overstretched!
3. In case of the thrust washer for the scissors needs to be replaced: Slide
on the thrust washer (2x 15344) onto the axle of the lifting scissors.
NOTE: The thrust washer has to engage audible.

Attachment parts in the area of the seat plate
Feed the guides of the side flaps (2x 15892) into the bearing of the seat
plate.
NOTE: Consider all three guides of the side flap engage audible.
II. REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS BACKREST
1. Position backrest (16440) upside down on the work bench.
2. Position actuator (Orca:16782, Orca XL: 1471062) on the backrest.
Therefore feed the bolt at the top edge of the backrest into the cut-out of
the actuator housing.
In order to feed in the spindle foot detaching one bolt might be required
NOTE: Consider the slot at the spindle being centered with the
clamp horse.

NOTE: Consider the cable to be under the tube and above the
upper tube fixation.
NOTE: Consider the proper alignment: The bulge of the spindle
foot faces to the top.
3. Turn the tube until the imaginary axle at the spindle foot is horizontal.
4. Wedge the spindle foot in this position.
5. Insert the nuts (4x 16779) into the slots of the clamp horse.
NOTE: The concave side faces to the screws, the short edge faces
towards the tube.
6. First insert the upper clamp (16778) into the cut-in of the tube.
NOTE: The taller side of the clamp faces towards the spindle foot.
7. Put on the washers (2x 16780) and tighten the clamp using the lens
head screws (2x 16781).
NOTE: Fix the screws with a torque of 4
+0,5
Nm.
8. Afterwards fix the lower clamp (16778) as specified with 6 and 7.
9. Mount the retaining ring (16456) on the axle (16793).
NOTE: Retaining ring may not be overstretched! Consider the
retaining ring to fit properly.
10.Hold the pulley (16450) into the holder of the spindle foot and insert the
axle.
11.Fix the axle with second retaining ring (16456).
NOTE: Retaining ring may not be overstretched! Consider the
retaining ring to fit properly.
12.Place the phone jack in its bed and pull it down to the bed stop.
13.Put on the holding device (16455) and fix it with the lens head screws
(2x 15348).
NOTE: Consider the edge-shape of the phone jack.
14.Plug in the left bolt (1470580) from outside into the slot of the spindle
foot.
NOTE: Chamfer of the bolt faces down and outside.
15.Snap in the thrust washer (15344) into the inner slot of the bolt.
NOTE: The nose of the thrust washer faces to the tube.
16.Repeat the steps 14 and 15 for the right bolt (1470579).
17.Function test of the bolts: Extend the spindle foot by 5cm (2”) and move
it back. The bolts have to be pressed out by the spindle foot. After the
spindle foot is back in its home position the bolts may be pressed back
again.

III. FUNCTION TEST
1. Place the assembled backrest onto the seat plate and erect it.
2. Using a charged hand control all functions of the bathlift have to be
checked.
NOTE: Consider the bolts are returned into the slot of the spindle
foot while the backrest is reclining.
