General warnings
and safety notes
The VITA-LIFT is owned with CE-Sign and
incorporates the latest findings. The Produc-
tion is subject to continuous quality control.
The VITA-LIFT can be loaded to max.
weight 150 kg.
• Don`t leave the client unattended in the
VITA LIFT.
• It is not allowed to use or park the VITA
LIFT near by staircases, steps, gradients or
slopes.
• Wet or dirty wheels may reduce the
braking.
• The brakes have to be locked while imple-
menting the patient generally.
The VITA-LIFT ist equipped with an auto-
matic limit and an emergency stop button.
Warranty
and product liability
The Vita-Lift ist guaranteed and liable for
two years by ATO FORM. Only original
equipment and accessoires should be used.
When neglect and/or repairs through non
authorized persons occur, any guarantee of
the Vita-Lift and its components are rende-
red invalid. Product liability on the part of
the manufacturer (ATO FORM GmbH, Zur
Lauterhecke 34, D-63877 Sailauf) is exclu-
ded in these cases.
CAUTION
Before each use of the VITA LIFT the
brakes have to be checked for proper
function. The braked wheels must stop
rotating. If they do, the brakes must be
set by your dealer.
In follow of ignoring the user guide or
rather the safety notes the manufacturer
excludes any liability of arising damage
to persons, property or animals.

Purpose
The VITA LIFT is a stand up and transfer
aid for home care and hospital care. On
the basis of the maneuverability and easy
handling the VITA LIFT can be used by one
person too.
The VITA LIFT is an essential aid for transfer,
standing or walking of client.
It is only allowed to use the VITA LIFT for
listed applications above. For all other ap-
plications and of resulting damages of any
kind in connection therewith, the manufac-
turer assumes no liability.
You furthermore have the possibility to use
extensive accessories from the ATO FORM
program.
We wish you much success while using your
VITA LIFT.

Delivery
and installation
Each VITA LIFT is delivered in a stable box.
After unpacking the parts have to be assem-
bled as follows: Insert the plug of the hand
switch into the socket of control unit (pro-
duct overview, page 7, pos. 11). Now you
combine the plugs of the actuators (pos 3.)
with the controller(pos. 11). All sockets are
located on the underside of the control unit
case.
Before using the VITA LIFT please note
following: The battery (pos. 4) must be loa-
ded before the first use. For loading insert
the plug in the power cord. Use only the
originally supplied power cord.
After the control unit is connected to the
power plug on power grid, the two LED dis-
plays (ON/Charge) flash on. As soon as full
capacity is reached, the orange LED display
„Charge“ goes out.
During use:
If the battery is discharged while using the
VITA-LIFT the client can be moved to the
lower position by making use of the emer-
gency lowering (on the control unit). The
battery must be loaded immediately.
Delivery and installation
CAUTION
The operation of the VITA LIFT is not
available while loading! Therefore we
recommend to charge the battery after
using evry day.

Operation of the
electric actuators
Before you use the standing up aid, please
insure, that the emergency-stop-button
(product overview, page 7, pos. 11) is not
pushed. if applicable solve the button by
turning the knob. The raising and lowering
of the lifting arm and the spreading of the
suspension will be achieved by pressing the
corresponding button on the control. In
dangerous situations push the red emergen-
cy-stop-button (pos. 11) on the control unit
immediately.
After using the VITA LIFT please always
push the emergency-stop-button, otherwi-
se the battery is going to unload.

mechanical parts
For knee pad adjustment remove the two
set screws(1).
The footplate (2) can be folded up. Take
care that it locks in order to avoid uninten-
ded swinging down. For folding back please
press the footplate down.

Operation –
general procedures
At first use a fitting sling for your project.
The sling should be used in pelvic height. If
necessary, a sling with an addtional seat belt
has to be used.
Push the VITA-LIFT approach the patient
and lock the brakes of the wheels. Hang the
loops of the sling in the appropriate hooks
(pos. 1). Please make sure to straddle the
legs by pressing the knob on the remote
control before you start lifting.
The footplate (pos. 3) is for clients, who
aren‘t able to walk.
If you use the footplate, the clients feet
must stand on it. Now you can raise transfer
or put the client down again.
CAUTION
Parts to insert such as loops, chains or
rings must always be fixed correctly in
the appropriate hooks (pos. 1).

Maintenance and repair
If repairs are needed on your VITA LIFT,
please contact your dealer.
Cleaning and care
The VITA LIFT can be cleaned with com-
mercially disinfectand or household cleaning
products. Please refer to the instructions
provided by the cleaning agent.

At least once a year, or every 2 months
by frequently using, please check the
seams, electronics, bearings, bolts
screws and nuts including brakes.
To your own safety please contact your
dealer for any repairs

cleaner.

In environmetal protection:
All packaging materials are recyclable.
The cardboard packaging is to be assign
to the recycling waste paper. Therefore
we use as a filler only paper. Perhaps
used plastic packaging films are of PE
and can be low pollution burned or
recycled.
