2、Interface configuration
2.1 USB interface type setting
Connect USB interface, USB can be enumerated into virtual keyboard, HID POS,
USB virtual serial port, IBM Sure Pos several types, the default type is USB virtual
serial port type, if you need to configure other types, the specific operation is as
follows:

Connect with PC, scan “USB PC Keyboard” barcode get into USB keyboard mode.
This configuration adds Enter/Line Feed as default . If you do not need this suffix,
you can refer to the suffix and suffix operation section to modify it.

where the application software requires serial port, USB can be recognized as
USB COM type,requires the user to install the driver. See the USB COM
instruction manual and related documents. USB COM uses similar functions and
parameters as RS232 serial port support, such as baud rate and data bit format.

3.2 Keyboard key combination settings
Commonly used keyboards such as the uppercase CAPS LOCK key, SHIFT key will
affect the bar code character information output, setting the keyboard combination
key function, change the output character characteristics.
Caps lock is turned off in normal mode.

3.3 Character conversion
When output bar code with letter content, you can configure the output to be all
uppercase or all lowercase. For example,
If the bar code content is ab123dE, scan "All uppercase" bar code,
the output result is AB123DE.
If the scan "All lowercase" bar code, the output result is “abc123de”; the default
keyboard case is not converted.

4、Input/output settings
4.1 Power-on tone setting
Powered on successfully, it can be prompted by the buzzer to enter the working
state. In some occasions, it can be configured as a silent, and the default power-on
has a prompt sound.

4.2 Trigger decoding tone setting
Trigger the decode switch, whether it is decoded or not, can emit a prompt tone to
notice switch has been triggered

4.3 Decoding successful tone setting
（1）Reminder response settings
Reading successfully, the buzzer sounds to indicate that the decoding is successful.
If the prompt tone is not needed, it can be configured to have no prompt sound after
the reading is successful.

4.4 LED Indicator light
The LED light flashes to indicate that the decoding is successful.

If the decoding is successful, the engine buzzer and LED can be prompted multiple
times. The default is once. If you need to make multiple beeps or LED flashes,
contact the GEMS PVT LIMIETED.
4.5 Read again settings
Reread delay interval setting
After reading a bar code, the time interval between reading the next bar code can

be set. The default interval is 0, which means no delay.

4.6 Same bar code reread setting
Re-read the same barcode time setting, which is too long to affect the reading
efficiency. The reread delay works only in the auto read mode, which is supported
in manual mode. The default reread delay is 750 ms.

CodaBar start/stop characters transfer
The start/stop characters identifies the front and back of the barcode, it can
be set to send or not to send. Default = not sent.

Read the following setup code to set the length of the CodeBar barcode.
Minimum and Maximum length is 4-60, Minimum length default=4,
Maximum length default=60.
