Before you begin
1. Know your Wi-Fi network and password
2. Make sure that you are operating on:
• iPhone®8 or higher and iOS®8 or higher.
Any previous iPhone®or iOS®may experience
slower connections.
• Android™ 4.1x or higher.
3. Make sure you’re connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
network (atomi Sma can’t connect to 5GHz
networks)
Compatibility
The atomi Sma AC Controller can be installed to
control all window or free-standing air conditioners
with a remote control.

Connect the Micro-USB Cable
to the Sma AC Controller and
the Sma AC Wall Plate.
Plug your atomi Sma AC
Wall Plate into any standard
grounded outlet.
*Micro-USB and SmaAC Controller must be plugged-in before Wi-Fi setup.
*Keep the Sma AC Controller close to the Sma AC Wall Plate on initial setup.

Download the atomi sma app from the
App Store or Google Play.

Enter your mobile phone
number or email address.

Enter the verification
code and create
a password.
Log in to
the app.
Select “Add Device”
or click (+) at the top
right corner of the
devices screen.
Choose “Sma AC
Controller” from the
device list.

Hold the power buon
for five seconds until the indicator light stas
flashing rapidly, then press “Continue”.
*Make sure you are in close proximityof the router

Point your AC Remote at the Sma AC Controller.
Make sure that the remote and your AC are
within one meter from the Sma AC Controller.
Tip: The Sma AC Controller will blink blue
when the remote pairing is successful.

This mode allows for unlimited
presets. Create your favorite
temperature seings.
*We suggest naming your presets.
*AC remote with LCD screen only suppos preset modes.
Select
“with LCD Screen”
and click “Continue”.
Point your AC Remote
at the AC Sma
Controller and
Click “Next”.
Set your favorite
AC seings on your
AC remote and
Click “Next”.
Press the power
buon on your
AC Remote.
Enter preset name
and select save.

Reset the Sma AC Controller
To reset the Sma AC Controller, unplug the Sma
AC Controller and plug it back in. Press and hold the
power buon for ten seconds.
- Reset one time (press and hold) to reach Easy
Mode (Fast blinking blue)
- Reset two times (press and hold) to reach AP Mode
(Slow blinking blue)

Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you entered the correct Wi-Fi password
during the Wi-Fi setup. Checkwhether there are
problems with your internet connection. If the Wi-Fi
signal is too weak, reset your Wi-Fi router and try again.
Setup is not working properly.
1. Close all apps that are running in the background
then re-open the atomi sma app.
2. Uninstall and reinstall the atomi sma app then
repeat the setup process. For setup instructions,
please refer to page 8.
3. Reset or restore your Sma AC Controller to factory
default seings. Please go to page 22 for the reset
instructions.
IMPORTANT: Reseing your Sma AC Controller to its default factory
seings will delete all the data that was saved in it. You will need to set up
your Sma AC Controller again. Please refer to page 8 for the setup
instructions.
Setup completed but the app is not responding.
Make sure to keep the Sma AC Controller in the line
of sight of your air conditioner.
Temperature control is not changing.
If temperature is not changing on the atomi sma app
it’s because you are in the wrong MODE. Push the
MODE buon until you are in the cooling mode.
Wi-Fi pairing is not working.
Make sure the Micro-USB Cable and Sma AC
Controller are plugged in before the Wi-Fi setup.
AC remote is not pairing with the app.
For initial setup, make sure that the Sma AC
Controller is within one meter of your air conditioner.
AC temperature is not showing on the app.
The AC temperature shown on the app monitors your
room temperature and not your AC temperature.
The AC remote control app is slow.
The AC remote control app mayfunction slower
depending on the Wi-Fi strength.
