INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: Single use respirators against solid aerosols and particulates are classified according to one of two
categories P1 and P2.
Before reading the following information, please check the category to which the respirator belongs- this is indicated
on the packaging and on the respirator. Use before the date shown on the packaging.
APPLICATIONS:
P1: Protection against non-toxic solid aerosols in concentrations up to 5x MAC/OEL/TLV or 4x APF.
P2: Protection against non-toxic and low to average toxicity solid aerosols and particulate’s including thermally
generated particulates such as found in welding in concentrations up to 12x MAC/OEL/TLV or 10x APF
REMARK: This respirator is suitable for protection against solid aerosols only, including water-based aerosols.
Water-based aerosols are defined as those produced from solutions and/or suspensions of particulate materials in
water such that the only workplace contaminant is attributed to this solid material.

Hold mask in position over nose and mouth, with retaining straps around back of hand. Pull lower
portion of strap over head and fit around neck.
Stretch and pull the upper strap over your head above your ears
Adjust the tension in the upper and lower portions of the continuous loop strap, to ensure a posi-
tive face seal.
Tension may be increased by pulling strap at either side of buckle to obtain a tighter facial fit.
Tension may be decreased by pushing out the back of the buckle to obtain a looser facial fit.
(a) To test fit for respirator without exhalation valve: Cup both hands over the respirator and ex-
hale vigorously.
(b) To test fit for respirator with inhalation valve: Cup both hands over the respirator and in-
hale sharply. A negative pressure should be felt inside respirator. If air flows around your nose
reposition the respirator. If air leaks around the edges repeat points 3 and 4.
During work break, take off the lower portion of strap. Let the respirator hang around your neck.
Change respirator immediately if breathing becomes difficult or respirator becomes damaged or
distorted, or a proper face fit cannot be maintained.
Careful observance of these instructions is an important step in safe respirator use.

(1) Failure to follow all instructions and limitations on the use of this product could reduce the
effectiveness of the respirator and result in sickness or death.
(2) A proper selection of respirator is essential to protect your health. Before using this
respirator consult and Industrial Hygienist or Occupational Health and Safety Professional to
determine the suitability for your intended use.
(3) This product does not supply oxygen. Use only in adequately ventilated areas containing
sufficient oxygen to support life.
Do not use this respirator when oxygen concentration is less than 19%.
(4) Do not use when concentrations of contaminants are immediately dangerous to health or
life.
(5) Do not use in explosive atmospheres.
(6) Leave work area immediately and return to fresh air if (a) breathing becomes difficult, or (b)
dizziness or other distress occurs.
(7) Facial hairs or beards and certain facial characteristics may reduce the effectiveness of this
(8) Never alter or modify this respirator in any way.
(9) Only for single use. No maintenance necessary. Discard the used respirator after
single use. (Maximum 8 hours usage)
(10) Keep respirator in the display box away from sunlight until use.
(11) The operational temperature for this respirator is between – 10°c and + 50°c
Unopened storage life is three years after the manufacture date.
