Introduction
This section briefly describes the possibilities of the Q2TR – Q4TR transformer unit.
he Q2TR – Q4TR transformer unit is developed as an easy to use, flexible solution.
During the development of the Q2TR – Q4TR transformer unit, the AUDAC-engineers wanted
to achieve three goals:
- Easy to use
- Excellent sound quality
- Modern and advanced design
This transformer unit is designed to work in combination with the AUDAC Q2 or Q4 for the
Q2TR respectively Q4TR. The unit transforms the 4Ω output of your AUDAC Q2 or Q4
amplifier to a 50V, 70V or 100V output level for use in a system with high impedance speakers.
This transformer unit gives you the possibility to attach four mono zones or two stereo zones.

Do not place this unit in an enclosed envi onment such as a bookshelf o closet. Ensu e

Do not place the unit in envi onments which contain high levels of dust, heat, moistu e o
vib ation.
Do not use the unit nea wate o othe liquids. Make su e no wate o othe liquids can be
spilled, d ipped o splashed on the unit.
The unit is developed fo indoo use only. Do not use the unit outdoo s.
Do not place objects (books, vases, …) on top of the unit.
Place the unit on a stable base.

Safety Requirements
Always handle the unit with ca e.
This unit is not a toy. Is should not be ope ated by child en.
Do not stick objects th ough the openings of the Q2TR – Q4TR.
Do not open the unit.
Always ead the use manual befo e you getting sta ted.
CAUTION – S RVICING
This unit contains no user serviceable parts. Refer all servicing to qualified
service personnel. Do not perform any servicing unless you are qualified to do
so.

These connectors are connected to the output of the amplifier (low-impedance output) like the Q2
for the Q2TR and the Q4 for the Q4TR.

These terminals are connected to the high-impedance loudspeakers.
You can find a brief overview of the minimum impedances that must be connected to the
transformer units.
