1.0 General Information
1.1 Introduction
This manual contains information for the proper installation of the Audio
International, Inc. (AI) 6.5”LCD Monitor with Collapsible in-Chair Arm,
Model No: AI-LCD65-0x-01/02-x. The “-0x”in the model number denotes
the button configuration of the monitor. The “01/02”in the monitor model
number denotes the type of arm mount; either “01”for left-hand mounting
or “02”for right-hand mounting. The “-x”suffix in the model number
designates the type of connector utilized in installation.
1.2 Purpose of the Equipment
The AI-LCD65-0x-01/02-x combines the features of AI’s 6.5“LCD
Personal Video Monitor with a collapsible in-chair arm for convenient
accessibility and storage of the monitor.
The collapsible in-chair arm is designed to allow the user to stow the
monitor in a safe manner as well as providing a swivel mount that allows
viewing at several angles per user adjustments.
The monitor is configured for NTSC video only.

2.0 Application
2.1 6.5”LCD Monitor
The AI-LCD-0x-01/02-x is specially designed for corporate aircraft use.
The flat panel monitor is configured for NTSC video only. The “-0x”in the
model number denotes the front panel control configuration:
AI-LCD65-01-01/02-x, AI-LCD65-02-01/02-x, or AI-LCD65-03-01/02-x.
All models have three control buttons located on the left side of the front
panel.
The following chart shows the switch functions of each model:

The dedicated video circuitry provides for control and adjustments. The
functions are selected by using the front panel controls. Press the
corresponding button to select the function.
Monitor Operation:
a. Apply power to the unit. If applicable, press the power
button on the front of the video monitor to supply power to
the unit.
b. Verify that the selected material may be viewed. To adjust
the viewing screen, press the bright “UP”or bright “DOWN”
button until the desired viewing level has been obtained.

Passive ventilation along the housing top and bottom edge keeps the
monitor cool. Inside the monitor, a silent cooling fan ventilates internal
components and prevents undesirable heat buildup. These monitors have
been environmentally tested to RTCA DO-0160C, section 21, category B
for RF emissions.
The back panel allows access to ports for adjustment to color, tint, and
contrast. The first screw is for adjusting the color purity and the second
screw is for adjusting the contrast. Turn the screw clockwise to increase,
counter-clockwise to decrease.
2.2 Collapsible in-chair arm
The AI-LCD65-0x-01/02-x monitors are configured to utilize AI’s
collapsible in-chair arm. The arm unit is designed to mount in either the
left (AI-LCD65-0x-01-x model) or right (AI-LCD65-0x-02-x model) seat
armrest. The collapsible chair arm allows the user to stow the monitor in a
safe, secure manner. The swivel mount allows viewing at several angles
per user adjustments.
