Thank you for choosing the Austlift mini crane - Aussie Fetch, we believe
you made a wise decision, we will assure you to be safe and enjoyable to use
it if you can read this instruction carefully.
Aussie Fetch is designed for light vehicles, light duty workshops or building
site as handy lifting device. It can be installed in Austlift workshop, by our
authorized dealer or by yourself if you have sound mechanical knowledge,
withweldingandttingskills.(Videoinstructionsoonwillbeavailableon
our website.)
TheSWLofAussieFetchis400kg,poweris12DC.ItisClassBcrane.(light
service) with duty cycles 2 to 5 lifts in every 30 min. It is not designed for
continually lifting. You will burn the motor if you do.

INSTALLATION
When you open the box, the following parts are in the package.
1. Mounting location has to be on solid flat surface and it is sufficiently to
withstand the maximum lifting capacity of your crane. Check with vehicle
body builder to obtain floor strength.
2. The supplied mounting plat is for light vehicle alloy floor, please check with
body builder or floor material supplier if the crane is installed on timber or
any other materials.
3. Always use factory approved switches, remote controls, accessories and
installation components. Always use Grade 8.8 or better nuts and bolts.

Indication of mounting on the rear of the vehicle
The crane consists of following major parts:
Maincolumn,supportingrack,liftingarm,extension,electricalwinch(12vDC)
and removeable hand control.
There are two ball bearings are in the main column for swing.

1. To Install on a Vehicle
Therearefourmountingholes(diameter17mm)onthebase,seepicture
3 for detailed dimensions, drill four holes on a level surface of the vehicle,
lockuptheatwashers,springwashers,boltsandnutsprovidedtox
the crane on the vehicle. Make sure that the surface that the crane is
mounted to is level and that the crane is mounted rmly, otherwise
danger or injuries will be invited.
2. To Install on the Ground
Useexpansionboltstoxthecranebaseontheground.Makesurethat
the surface that the crane is mounted to is level and that the crane is
mountedrmly,otherwisedangerorinjurieswillbeinvited.
The crane comes with a 3M electrical cable wire. Red one is positive terminal.
Black one is negative terminal. Connect the red and black wire with the
respective positive and negative terminal of the 12V battery. Plug the pedant
cable on the winch control box and then use the up/down buttons to operate
the crane motor.

Inserting the belt at installation or replacing it with a new belt ensure the end
is over the bolt, remount collar, press it together and secure bolts. See image
below.
After installation is finished, park your vehicle on flat surface and do load
testing. The testing load should be 440kg in Max and do one circle swing
before you finish the test. Check any defaults after testing.

Lifting webbing in the arm should pass over the pins, not under the pins. See
image below.

SAFETY
1. Check the load weight, never overload.
2. Crane is not for under 16 years old person to operate.
3. Read the instruction carefully; to understand the structure and how to
operate the crane.
4. Check the power source to make sure it’s 12 V DC before turning power-on.
5. People are not allowed to stand beneath the crane when it’s working,
make sure no one is under the hook when it is in working.
6. The motor of the winch works on magnet induction, it’s for intermittent
use only, allow the motor to cool down when it’s hot resulting from
excessive lengths of lifting work.
7. Never use the crane for the lifting or transportation people.
8. Ensure the load is direct under the hook, no side load.
9. Ensure the load in lifted in gentle and avoid shock load.
10. Ensure the crane arm swing in area is empty and no objectives are on the
way.
11. Ensure the lifting web is not damaged and replace it if it is damaged.
12. Stop lifting operations if the red color appears on the lifting webbing,
which is to avoid hook hit the crane arm.

• Failure to observe these instructions could lead to severe injury or death.
• Always remove jewelry and wear eye protection.
• Never lean over battery while making connections.
• Check electrical cables and lifting belt for any cracks, tears, chemical or
physical damage, if any damage is found stop use immediately. Contact
an Austlift authorized distributor for service and repair.
• Never route electrical cables:
- Across any sharp edges;
- Through or near moving parts;
- Near parts that become hot.
• Always insulate and protect all exposed wiring and electrical terminals.
• Always install terminal boots as directed in installation instructions.
Always know your crane: Take time to fully read and understand the included
Installation and Operation guide, and Basic Guide to Winching Techniques, in
order to understand your winch and winching operation.
Never operate this winch if you are under 16 years of age.
Never operate this winch when under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
Never exceed winch or wire rope rated capacity.

General Safety
OPERATING THE CRANE
After installation and testing, and reading this book, you should be capable to
operating the crane, please follow the following procedures.
1. Position the crane directly over the load and adjust the boom to desired
position by using pins.
2. Plug the hand control in to socket.
3. Screw off the locking bar, hook the load on and lifting the load slowly.
4. Check the stability and security of the load, the load will swing if the
vehicle is parked on sloppy ground. Use swing locking pin to stop the
swing if it is needed.
5. Put the arm down and keep hand control in safe area when the job is
finished.
