Line Splitter/Combiner
Introduction
The Australian Monitor Installation Series LSC1 line splitter/combiner
produces 2 balanced XLR signals, (1 direct, 1 transformer isolated) from a
single balanced XLR line level input. The AMIS LSC1 provides a ground lift
switch to eliminate hum, & as part of the AMIS Contractor Tools range, the
AMIS LSC1 is an inexpensive splitter/combiner that has a multitude of uses
in a wide variety of installations.
Description
•Input: This balanced XLR Line level input receives signal from a line
source.
•Thru Output: This balanced XLR output is wired in parallel to the Input
& provides a balanced signal output.
•Output: This XLR output provides a transformer isolated output of the
input signal feed.
•GND Lift Switch: When this switch is in “ground” position pin1 of both
the input & the output are connected. When this switch is in “lift”
position these grounds are separated. This switch is used to
eliminate hum.

Note: Unbalanced sources should be wired Pin 2 Hot, Pin 3 Cold, with Pin 1
linked to Pin 3.
