QUICK START GUIDE
This quick start guide provides a brief overview of the key features of the ZONEMIX system.

FRONT PANEL
SIGNAL PRESENCE LEDS
Green LED = Signal present
Flashing Green = Muted (Outputs only)
Red = Clipping (Reduce input level).
SD CARD CONNECTOR
Used to store messages, tones and paging
announcements. Accepts full size SD card,
maximum density 2TB, FAT32 file system
required.
OUTPUT ZONE KNOB
Rotate left and right to select the output zone.
Push and hold for 2 seconds to enter Audio
Setup mode.
MIX KNOB
Rotate left and right to select the input channel
mix desired for the output zone.
Push and hold for 2 seconds to enter System
Setup mode.
LCD CHARACTER DISPLAY

PRESETS KNOB
Rotate left and right to cycle through the
available presets and push to select.
Push and hold for 2 seconds to save to a
preset.
VOLUME KNOB
Rotate left and right to adjust the volume level
of the currently selected input or output.
Push the knob to mute or unmute.
USB-C CONFIG PORT
Connect to a PC using a USB-C cable to
control the ZONEMIX via the PC Control
Software
STATUS LED
This blue LED will illuminate indicating that the
ZONEMIX is on and receiving mains power.
POWER SWITCH
Press the switch up to power on and down to
power off.

REAR PANEL
ACCESSORY PORTS
Allows connection of wall panel controllers,
paging stations and audio wall panel inputs.
See the full manual for wiring and setup
instructions.
ZONE OUTPUTS
The ZONEMIX4 has 4 stereo or 4 mono
balanced line level outputs (Software
configurable). The ZONEMIX8 has 8 mono line
balanced level outputs. Balanced male 3-pin
(3.81mm) euroblock connector.
STEREO RCA UNBALANCED INPUT
A standard stereo RCA female socket for each
input. This is summed to mono inside the
ZONEMIX8. The ZONEMIX4 will maintain the
stereo audio path unless mono output mode
is selected.
A -14dB pad can be applied, via software,
using the front panel or PC control software.
Off by default.
XLR MIC AND RCA LINE INPUT, CH1-2
A standard female XLR balanced socket is
provided on each microphone input:
Pin 1 = Signal Ground
Pin 2 = Hot (non-inverting or in phase)
Pin 3 = Cold (inverting or reverse phase)

MIC GAIN
Provides a rear panel attenuator for Input 1
and Input 2.
GENERAL PURPOSE INPUTS AND
OUTPUTS
Configurable in the PC control software to
perform various control actions.
TONE GENERATOR
Connect any of the EVAC, ALERT, INTRUDER,
BELL and CHIME inputs to the GND input to
play the tone.
RS232
3-pin (3.81mm) euroblock connector for
connection to external control systems.
ETHERNET
Ethernet is used to communicate with the
device over a LAN. The supported network
speed is 100Base-T.

manual for further details.
POWER INPUT CONNECTOR
Your mixer is powered via a 24VDC 2A
universal power adapter. The power adapter
is included with your mixer. The DC input
accepts a 5.5/2.1mm plug with tip positive
and ring negative connection.

Key features of the software include:
• Mixing and level control for input and outputs
• Setup of wall panels and paging stations
• Scheduler trigger and actions setup
• Configuration of:
o miniDSP audio settings
o Priority scheme
o Master Override
o General Purpose Inputs/Outputs
o Date/Time
o Network settings
The ZONEMIX comes with a free downloadable PC application to allow advanced configuration and
control of the system. The software is available from www.australianmonitor.com.au and can be
accessed from the PC over the ZONEMIX USB or Ethernet connection.
