Step1PlacetheCaraII:
♦Findasmoothandflatsurfaceonthedashboardinfrontofyouthatiswithineasyreachbutwillnot
interferewithdriving.Forbestvoicepick‐up,itshouldbeasclosetoyourmouthandasdirectlyinfront
ofyouaspossible.Seebelowtheimageforsomerecommendedareas:

♦Makesurethesurfaceisdryandfreeofdirt.
♦Stickmagneticbasetothedashboard.

♦CaraIIcanbeeasilyremovedandstoredwhennotinuse.
Step2InserttheaudiocableintoCaraII3.5mmaudiooutputsocketandyourcar’sAUXport.
Step3TurnonyourcarstereoandsettheinputsourcetoAUX.
Step4TurnonCaraIIandpairwithyourphone.Afterthatyoucanusethecarkit.

4.Pairingandconnecting
ThefirsttimeyouturnonCaraIIitbeginsthepairingprocedure
Step1WhilethecarkitLEDsareflashingredandbluealternatively,activateBluetoothonyourphone,andset
ittosearchfornewdevices.
Step2Select“AvantreeCaraII”.Ifnecessary,enterpasskey0000/acceptconnection.
Step3Oncesuccessfullypairedandconnected,youwillhear“Yourphoneisconnected”.
Ifyouwanttopairanotherornewphone,youcanalsogointopairingmodebypressingandholdingthe
“MFB”buttonuntiltheLEDblinksalternativelyblueandred.
ReconnectBluetooth
WheneveryouturnCaraIIonagainitwillbeautomaticallyreconnecttoyourphone.Otherwise,pleasepress
MFBbuttononcetoreconnectthem.

5.Multipoint–Connectwithtwophonessimultaneously
ThedefaultsettingofCaraII’smultipointfunctionisoff.Pleaseenablethisfunctionbeforeuse.
Step1GetCaraIIintopairingmode.
Step2Pressandholdthe“MFB”buttonabout6seconds,untilyouhearafour‐tonebeep.Releasethebutton
toenablemultipoinfunction.
Step3PairandconnectCaraIIwiththefirstphoneasabove.
Step4GetCaraIIintopairingmodeagain,pairandconnectwiththesecondphoneasabove.
Step5TurnCaraIIoffandonagain,itwillautomaticallysearchandconnectwiththelasttwopairedphones.


TheLEDwillstayredwhenchargingandwillturnoffwhenchargingiscomplete.

YoumayneedtoresetCaraIIifitisnotworkingasexpected.WhenCaraIIisresettofactorydefaultsettings,
allthepairedmobilephoneinformationwillbeerased.
Step1Getthecarkitintopairingmode.
Step2Inpairingmode,doubleclickMFBbuttontorestoreCaraIItodefaultsettings.
