rear panel of the unit, means the unit have been classified as Class 1,

IMPORTANCE
Read through this instruction manual before installation and use.
Do not touch the power plug with wet hand.
When disconnecting the power cord from the power outlet, hold the plug, do not pull the wire.
Switch off the main power when the unit is not in use. (Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet
when you do not intend to use the unit for a prolonged period of time.)
Before moving the unit, remove the disc from the unit’s tray first.
Do not open the cover or touch any of the components inside the unit.
Do not install or operate the unit directly exposed to sunlight or nearby objects radiating heat that may lead to
overheat and dangerous to the unit.
Do not install or operate the unit in overly moist or humid environments that may affect the laser head.
Install the unit on flat surface with good air circulation. Do not cover the ventilation holes on the unit in
anyway. Otherwise, the unit will possibly overheat and malfunction.
Wipe the panel and case with soft dry cloth only. Do not apply any kind of thinner, alcohol or sprays when
the cleaning of the unit.

2. SELECT A DVD DISC
DVD discs and DVD players are manufactured under the worldwide agreed DVD Regional Code System that
the player will operate only with corresponding disc of the same Regional Code.

REMARK
Some features of this unit are related to the DVD disc’s software. Some
features of this unit cannot be preformed if the disc does not support
the features, or required special settings. Check the features of the disc
before playing it, or follow the instruction on screen menu of the disc.
3. CARE OF DISC
Video disc contains high density compressed data that needs proper handling.
Hold the disc with fingers, holding the hole at center and the edge do not touch the disc
surface.
Do not bend or press the disc, do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or heating source.
Store discs in cabinet, vertically, in dry condition, prevent moisture or humidity.
Clean the disc with soft dry cloth only, wipe gently, from center to the edge. Do not apply
thinner, alcohol or sprays when cleaning.

PREPARATION
1. UNPACK THE UNIT
The standard packing contains the following items:
The DVD player unit.
Infra red remote controller
AV Cables
Two AAA batteries
User’s instruction manual
Warranty Registration Card
2. LOADING BATTERIES INTO THE REMOTE CONTROL
Remove the battery compartment cover.
Load two AAA batteries into the battery compartment.
Make sure that the batteries have been inserted in the right polarities matching to the symbols +, - as
indicated in the battery compartment.
When replacing batteries, replace both batteries. Do not mix new and used batteries operating together;
otherwise, the operating lifetime will be much shorter than normal.
Do not dispose batteries as normal rubbish. Be environment friendly, dispose batteries according to the
Government’s regulation.
Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the unit for a prolonged period of time.

SYSTEM CONNECTIONS
DO NOT connect the AC power socket
to the wall outlet before the system
connection is completed
Before turning on the power standby button on the front panel or remote control,
you should switch on the main power in the rear panel.
Note: The light in the front panel will be red in color when it is in power off mode;
green in color when it is in standby mode.
1. CONNECTING TO TV SET
One set of AV cable is included in the Standard packing
Connects the unit’s S-Video or video output (Video) to the TV’s S-Video or Video input
terminal (Yellow).
Connect the DVD unit’s Audio (FL, FR) output to the TV’s audio (L, R) input.

2. CONNECTING TO TV & STEREO AMPLIFIER
Connect the unit’s S-Video or Video output to the TV’s S-Video or Video input.
Connect the unit’s Audio (FR / FL) output to stereo amplifier’s input terminals Left (White) and
Right (Red).

3. CONNECTING TO 5.1 CHANNELS AMPLIFIER
Connect the unit’s ‘S-Video’ or ‘Video’ output to the TV’s S-Video or Video input.
Connect the unit’s 5.1 channels surround audio output (FL, FR, SL, SR, CEN, SW) to the 5.1
channels amplifier’s audio input terminals, Front Left, Front Right, Surround Left, Surround Right,
Center and Sub-Woofer.
(An amplifier with 6 channels input and output is required, AC3 decoder is NOT required.)
Connecting AC3/DTS digital outputs (Optical or Coaxial) to an AC3 or DTS decoding amplifier
is also possible, see instruction in next page.

4. CONNECTING TO AC3 OR DTS DECODING AMPLIFIER
Connect the unit’s S-Video or Video output to the TV’s S-Video or Video input.
Connect the digital output (optical or coaxial) to the TV’s S-Video or Video input.
Press the ‘SETUP’ button on the remote control to enter the unit’s SETUP MENU:
Press ^/ v on the Remote Control to select AUDIO SETUP, and
Press ^ / v again to select SPDIF/RAW,
Press ‘ENTER’ buttons confirm the setting

PANEL DESCRIPTION
1. FRONT PANEL
The items 1-4 are Karaoke function, simply put the DVD or VCD karaoke and getting start playing, then
connect the microphone into the MIC1,2 and adjust between Microphone volume and Echo volume for the
best effect on sound. Please note that the Volume and MIC buttons need to be pushed so that they pop out
and allow for easy tuning.

GETTING STARTED
Read through this instruction manual.
Unpack the unit.
Load batteries into the remote control.
Connect the unit, make sure the connections are correct.
Connect the power socket to wall outlet, power on the system via switch on rear of unit.
Check the setting of the unit, TV and amplifier are correct and match each other.
1. PLAY A DISC
Switch on the power
Switch on the main power switch on the unit’s front panel, and switch on the TV set, and the amplifier if
connected.
Set the system
Select the corresponding setting of the unit, TV set (AV or S-Video) and the amplifier, until the power on screen
shows.
Load a disc
Press the “OPEN” button on the front panel or on the remote control, to open the disc tray. Load a disc
into the tray and press the “OPEN” button again to close the disc tray. (Note: place the disc’s label side up,
blank side down.)
Automatic Play
The unit will take several seconds to read the disc data, display the disc type logo at the left upper corner of the
TV screen, and start playing automatically.
(MP3 disc would take longer time to upload the data on ‘Smart NAVI’ Menu when loading)
If a Disc Menu displayed on the screen:
1. Press the ►button to start playing, or
2. Press button on the remote control to select the desired item and then press ENTER button to
confirm.
A different kind of Disc Menu is displayed on the TV screen depending on the design and production of the disc.

2. PICTURE SETUP
The unit’s TV output color is selectable to PAL or NTSC
IMPORTANT
If the TV set is NOT multi-video system, and the following is observed on
the TV screen it could be a result of wrong color system matching with the
TV set:
Picture is distorted
Picture is black and white, no color.
Picture is not full screen, or border part of picture bas been blocked.
The DVD Player is set to NTSC system output as default, if you are not playing in the
U.S.A. or in PAL system, please change the output system of the unit by the steps below.
If the above problem happens:
1. Set the TV set’s system to the proper setting, or
2. Change the DVD unit’s output system setting as following:
1. Press ‘SETUP’ on remote control,
2. Go to ‘PREFERENCE’
3. Select the ‘TV TYPE’ MULTI, NTSC or PAL.
If the above steps DO NOT fix the problem, see TROUBLESHOOTING.

3. GENERAL SETUP
1. Pressing the SETUP button on remote control during STOP or PLAY mode to SETUP MENU.
2. Using Cursor to select GENERAL SETUP. Press ENTER to enter GENERAL SETUP page.
TV DISPLAY
Using cursor to move to desired setting and
press ENTER to confirm.
NORMAL/PS – 4 x 3 Pan Scan
Full screen of picture on TV. Normally, left and
right edges cannot be shown.
NORMAL/LB – 4 x 3 Letter Box
Original ratio of aspect.
WIDE – 16 : 9 Widescreen
PIC MODE (PICTURE MODE)
This mode will depend on the type of video that you are playing.
AUTO - Automatically adjust to suit your recent playback
FILM - Film movie mode (24 Pictures film)
VIDEO - Video base on television mode
SMART - This is a good mode to use for progressive
and interlaced material with limited motion.
SUPER SMART - Superior than Smart Mode
ANGLE MARK This feature functions only for the disc, which has
ANGLE function.
When the ANGLE MARK is set ON, the screen
displays the mark.
When the ANGLE MARK is set OFF, the mark is
not displayed.
After you setting ON, then you can press the
Angle button to change the view angle of the
screen.

needs to be fixed
When the unit is stopped, no operation, or no
function button is pressed in 1 minute, screen saver
appears for the purpose to protect the TV screen if

Adjust the audio delay from center channel from 0
to 5MS.
This is used in the surround sound mode, the
sounds come out from center speaker will be
delayed rather than real time. This delay time will
depends on the distance from the center speaker to
the place you receive the sound.

This function is to test the 5 speakers are working properly. The

OFF: Audio signal is out from (FL/FR) AUDIO OUT (RCA) jacks.
SPDIF/RAW: The player is connected to a Dolby Digital amplifier through DIGITAL OUT Coaxial or
Optical jack.
SPDIF/PCM: The player is connected to a 2-channel digital mode or stereo amplifier through Coaxial
or Optical jack.

LINE OUT: Line out mode with digital dialog normalization,
compress input linear signal. It suitable to all television
signal input.
