AVerKey300
The AVerKey300 is an external PC/MAC/NEC-to-TV Scan Converter. It converts computer
images into video format and displays them on any TV monitor or large-Screen LCD projector.
This is “Plug and Play”with no software drivers required. The AVerKey300 is compatible with all
computers and operating systems.
1) Connect the AVerKey300 to the PC.
Plug one end of the supplied Computer Extension Cable to the AVerKey300
“VGA IN” port and the other end to the PC’S VGA Port.
2) Connect the VGA monitor cable to the AVerKey300 “VGA OUT” port and the other end
of this cable to the back of the computer monitor.
3) Plug the supplied AC Power Adapter into the AVerKey300 “POWER” port. Plug the
other end of the cable into an electrical outlet.
4) The S-Video Cable fits into the side of the AVerKey Box and connects to the S-Video
outlet at the wall.
Troubleshooting Tips:
If there is no picture on the TV
1) Check all the connectors again. Remember, when replacing a portion of the
AVerKey300 such as a cable or power cord, you must have an AVerKey300
system that you know all the parts are working correctly. Disconnect each
cable, AVerKey300 box, or cord one at a time, reconnecting the new cable,
box or cord. Then check to see if you have a picture on your TV. If you
don’t have a picture, replace the original cable, cord, or AVerKey300 box
and move on to the next part, starting the process over. Finding the cord,
cable, or box that is causing the problem may take some time. The other
solution is to purchase and replace the entire AVerKey300 system.
2) Check your TV remote control On/Off switch and channel setting.
3) Verify the setting of the Composite Input or S/VHS Input of your TV Set.
4) As specified by IBM, some systems may require that the monitor is present
and connected when the system is powered up.
The picture on my TV is distorted.
1) Before doing any adjustments, reset all the picture attributes to the factory
default setting using the “Reset” button on the remote control.
2) Each VIDEO display device is slightly different from another. Use the
Panning Control of AVerKey300 to adjust the picture.
3) Use the Brightness and Sharpness picture attributes controls on the remote
control to reduce the distortion.
