Suite. Further information on the individual modules is given in the relevant manuals.

Operation mode
The Avira SmallBusiness Suite is the ideal security solution for businesses with 5 to 75
computers. In addition to your PCs and servers, it also provides optimum protection for
your email and Internet communication. And it's all particularly easy. Because the Avira
SmallBusiness Suite is quickly installed, configured and - thanks to the administration
function - easy to manage. All PCs can thus be centrally monitored and in the case of
software updates can be conveniently updated at any time.

System requirements
For Avira SmallBusiness Suite to run correctly, the computer system must meet the
following conditions:
•Operating system with latest Service Pack
–Microsoft Windows Small Business Server or
–Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition or
–Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or
–Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
•For installation of Avira SmallBusiness Suite: administrator rights
Administration of network computers on Microsoft Windows 2000,
Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows XP Professional
x64 Edition, Microsoft Windows Vista and various UNIX platforms is
possible with Avira SmallBusiness Suite. Please also observe the system
requirements of the individual Windows and UNIX products belonging to
Avira SmallBusiness Suite.

Pre-requisites for installation
Ensure that the following conditions are met so that Avira SmallBusiness Suite can work
correctly on your server:

Perform installation
fInsert the Avira CD-ROM in the CD drive.
The welcome dialog of the Avira CD-ROM appears.
fClick on Avira SmallBusiness Suite in the SmallBusiness Suite area.
- OR -
fDouble-click in the CD directory en / products on the program file
avira_smallbusiness_suite_en.exe.
The dialog window of the set-up program appears.
fClick on Accept.
The set-up program for Avira SmallBusiness Suite starts. Set-up is prepared.
The dialog window Welcome... appears.
fClick on Next.
The dialog window with the license agreement appears.
fConform that you accept the license agreement and click on Next.
The dialog window Select license key appears.
fSelect the directory in which you have stored the license file and confirm with Next.
The dialog window Choose destination location appears.
fConfirm the given destination directory with Next.
- OR -
fSelect a different destination directory with Change... and confirm with Next.
The dialog window Select components appears:
The components have the following functions:
–Avira SmallBusiness Suite: helps you to install and configure Avira products via
your network
–Avira AntiVir Exchange Server: protects your Exchange Server.
–Avira Internet Update Manager: Keeps your Avira products up to date via the
Internet.
fActivate or deactivate the required components and confirm with Next.
The dialog window Administrative user account appears.
fEnter a user account with administrator rights and the associated password and click
on Next.

fIn the next dialog window, click on Install.
The individual components of the Avira SmallBusiness Suite are installed.
The installation dialog for the Avira AntiVir Exchange Server appears.
fClick on Accept.
The set-up program for Avira AntiVir Exchange Server starts. Set-up is prepared.
The dialog window Select a set-up language appears.
fSelect the required language and click on OK.
The set-up program for Avira AntiVir Exchange Server starts. Installation is
prepared.
The dialog window Welcome... appears.
fClick on Next.
The dialog window Product selection appears.
fFor support of the option Cluster installation in AntiVir Exchange, please contact
our Support Team.
fSelect the required language for the management console and user notifications and
click on Next.
fConform that you accept the license agreement and click on Next.
The dialog window Custom setup appears.
fSelect the required modules then click on Next.
The dialog window Configuration options appears.
fConfirm the default setting with Next if you do not want to operate Avira AntiVir
Exchange on more than one server and administer centrally with one configuration.
fIn the next dialog window, click on Install.
The AntiVir Exchange Server is installed. The message InstallShield Wizard
completed appears.
fClick on Finish.
Avira AntiVir Exchange is started.
Installation of the Avira SmallBusiness Suite is continued.
fClick on Finish.

After completing the installation process, the Avira SmallBusiness Suite Configuration
Assistant starts. This guides you through configuration of the Avira SmallBusiness Suite.
•You can see which products were added to your security environment and are ready
for installation...
•You can add computers that are available in the network but are not yet in the
security environment...
•You can install available products on selected computers...
You can start the Avira SmallBusiness Suite Configuration Assistant or a
component of the assistant at any time:
fStart via Windows Start-Menu / Programs / Avira / Avira
SmallBusiness Suite.
