People Counter
with display
1. Check the contents
- Receiver with display (PRx11D1)
- Transmitter (PTx11-1)
- Magnet key hanger
- 2x R2450 batteries (already placed)
- This installation guide
Specifications:
Max. count value : 999999
Power supply : 3V R2450 battery
Measurement width : 5 meter
Dimensions : 83 x 51 x 14 mm
Material : PMMA Black
2. Enable the batteries
To power on the transmitter and receiver
please pull out gently the white strip.
On the transmitter you will see the status led
blink twice and on the receiver you will see 0
on the display.
3. Mount the People Counter
When mounting the people counter take care
of the following:
- The maximum distance between transmitter
and receiver is 5 meter.
- To count adult people use a mounting height
between 125 and 140 cm.
- Avoid the possibility of obstacles blocking the
line of sight of the People ounter.
- Use a wall or another steady object to mount
the People ounter on.
Additional information:
Be aware of infrared light from other sources like bright lights
and infrared devices. When the PRx11D1 receives infrared
from other sources, instead of the PTx11-1, unexpected
behavior could be the result.
Due to the strong field of AM anti-shoplifting systems it is
recommended to place the People ounter at least 1 meter
away from an AM system.
Note: The red led on the receiver will light up when noise is
detected. In this case find the source of this disturbance and
try to take it away.
The measurement width of 5 meter will decrease when the
infrared signal goes through glass.
4. Check the ali nment
The receiver (display) needs to 'see' the
transmitter.
The receiver contains an alignment feature
which helps you to point the transmitter to the
receiver.
To enable the alignment mode slide the
magnet on the backside of the receiver
(display) [magnet area 1].
When the led is blinking red you need to point
the transmitter to the receiver until the led
lights op green continuously.
Accuracy of the People Counter
The accuracy of the counter will get higher when the distance
between the transmitter and receiver gets smaller. When
more persons interrupt the infrared beam at once the People
ounter will increase the count value with one.
5. Start countin
The count value on the display will count from
0 to 999999.
The green status led on the receiver will blink
once when a count is created.
Resettin the count value
To reset the value on the display to 0, slide the
magnet on the back side of the receiver
(PRx11D1).
Note: The alignment mode in the receiver will also be
activated when resetting the display.
Slide again with the magnet over the back side to disable the
alignment mode.
Rotatin the value on the display
In some situations it is preferred to have the
receiver on the right side which results in an
upside down value on the display.
To rotate the value just place the magnet on
magnet area 2 while creating a count.
