1.Powering the system indoors
Plugone end ofthe ACtoDC adapterintotheDC Input jackonthe
back of the DVD player,then plugthe other endintothe
100~240VAC power receptacle.
2. Powering the systemin a car
Plug one end ofthecigarette lighter adapter into the DCInputjack
on the DVD player, thenplug theotherend into thecigarettelighter
socket.

D. Loading and Playing a Disc
a. After connecting powerto theunit, poweron “DVDplayer”with the
power switch. The powerindicator will light.
b. Openthedisctray by pressing Open button,andplaceadisc into
the tray with the label sidefacing up.
c. Close the tray.The unit will load the disc and start playing.
d. Rotate Brightness+/- and Volume+/- to adjust the LCD s bright-
nessand the DVD player s volume.
e. Tostop playinga disc, press Stop.

E. Setup
1. Press SETUP on the remote control.
2. Press direction buttons to select the item you want.
3. Press ENTER to confirm your selection.
4. Press SETUP again to exit the setup.

a) TV Display
* Normal/PS: When the player outputs signal to a normal TV, a nor-
mal picture is shown on the full screen.
* Normal/LB: When the player outputs signal to a normal TV, a nor-
mal picture is shown on the screen with a black strip at both the top
and bottom of the screen.
* Wide: When the player outputs signal to a wide screen TV, a
wide picture is shown on the full screen.

* On: During playback of an angle disc, a mark appears on the screen,
press number keys to select different angles.
* Off: The screen will not display the angle mark.

*On: Enables screen saver
NOTE: The DVD player will enter the Screen Saver mode after ap-
proximately five minutes if the same image remains on the screen.
*Off: Disables screen saver

The password is used to change the parental control level(Refer
to Preference Setup for details on parental control).
When you use the player for the first time,enter the default password
3308.
4. Preference Setup(available only when there is no disc in the
compartment)

Select Default to restore all original settings, but not affect the parental.

*On: Open the disc tray, your player remembers where you stopped. If you
close the tray with the same disc loaded, your player starts playing at
the point where you stopped.
*Off: The unit will not return to the last position on the disc.
Select a setting and use LEFT or RIGHT button to adjust:
Note: If the selected language is not available, the player will play and
display on the screen the original recorded language contained in the disc.
Select the parental level you desire using UP or DOWN button for discs
with lock-out function or multiple rating levels. These are listed from the
lowest level to the highest level. Press ENTER button, input the password,
then press ENTER button again to confirm the parental level setting.

G. Connecting to a TV or another monitor
You can also connect the DVD player to a TV to enjoy high quality
stereo sound and picture on another monitor.
1. Slide the AV IN/OUT switch to OUT position. Connect one end of
the supplied A/V cable’s stereo plug into the DVD Player's AV jack,
and connect the other end to the AUDIO INPUT and VEDIO INPUT
jacks on your TV or another monitor(white = left channel, red = right
channel, yellow = vedio) through an additional set of A/V cable
2. Slide the AV IN/OUT switch to IN position. Connect one end of the
supplied A/V cable’s stereo plug into the DVD Player's AV jack, and
connect the other end to the A/V OUTPUT jacks on another DVD
player.

I. Troubleshooting
No sound or distortedsound?
Make sure your DVD isconnectedproperly.Make sure all cablesare securely
insertedinto the appropriatejacks.
Can tadvance through a movie?
Youcan tadvancethroughthe opening credits andwarninginformation that
appears at thebeginningofmovies because the disc isprogrammedto prohibit
that action.
The icon ( )appears on screen?
Thefeatureor actioncannotbe completed atthistimebecause:
1.The disc ssoftwarerestrictsit.
2.Thedisc ssoftwaredoesn t supportthefeature(e.g., angles)
3. Thefeatureisnot availableat the moment.
4.You verequestedatitleor chapter numberthatis outofrange.
Picture is distorted?
1. Thediscmight bedamaged. Try another disc.
2. It isnormal for somedistortion toappearduringforwardor reverse scan.
No forward or reversescan?
1. Somediscshavesections that prohibit rapid scanning ortitleandchapter skip.
2.If you trytoskip throughthewarninginformation andcreditsatthe beginning of
a movie,youwon tbe able to. This part ofthemovie is oftenprogrammed to
prohibitskipping through it.
IRsensor inoperative?
1. Verifythat the batteries in the remote arefresh.
2.Verifythattheremote sensoreye is not obstructed.
3. Verifythat the infraredtransmitter is affixed over thesensor eyeof
thecomponent tobe controlled.
Discwon t play?
1. Insert a discwiththe labelside facing up.
2.Checkthetypeof discyouputintodisctray.ThisDVDonlyplaysdigital
video discs,audio CDs andMP3s.
Play starts, but then stops immediately?
1. Both the unit and thedisc are coded byregion.Ifthe regional codes
don tmatch,thedisc can tbe played. This DVD is Region Number 1.
2.Thediscis dirty.Cleanit.
3. Condensation has formed.Allow player todryout.
