Read this instruction manual before installing the AXKID MODUKID BASE in your vehicle.

AXKID MODUKID BASE is a part of the Axkid modular system, and can be used with
AXKID MODUKID INFANT 2 - Rear facing infant car seat for children 40-75 cm and up to 13 kg, and
AXKID ENVIROKID - Rear facing car seat for children 61-105 cm and up to 18kg.
This is an i-Size Enhanced Child Restraint Module System. It is approved according to UN Regulation No. 129, for use in,
i-Size compatible vehicle seating positions as indicated by vehicle manufacturers in the vehicle user’s manual. If in doubt,
consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer (www.axkid.com) or the retailer
Important information
To maximize your child’s safety, it is important that you keep the following in mind:
• Always follow the instructions in this manual. An incorrect installation may seriously aect the safety for your child. If in doubt,
contact your retailer who can demonstrate a correct installation.
• Keep this instruction manual for future reference. If manual is lost, you can find it online at www.axkid.com
• Do not use AXKID MODUKID BASE and compatible car seats in a seating position where an active frontal airbag is fitted. If you still
wish to install the Axkid car seat in this location the airbag must be switched o according to the vehicle manufacturers instructions.
• Should you have an accident, no matter how small, your car seat should always be replaced. It may have damage that is non visual
and and could seriously aect the safety of your child. For this reason, Axkid does not recommend purchasing second hand car
seats.
• If the AXKID MODUKID BASE and compatible seat has been exposed to direct sunlight, make sure that the car seat is not too hot
before installing your child.
• Never leave your child unattended in the vehicle.
• Ensure that any luggage or loose objects are secured in your vehicle as they may cause injuries to passengers in the event of an
accident.
• Ensure that the AXKID MODUKID BASE and the car seat is installed in a way where no parts become trapped by movable seats,
car doors, etc.
• AXKID MODUKID BASE may only be installed rear-facing.
• Always make sure the support leg is in its correct position and have contact with the vehicle floor. Check that the indicator on top of
the support leg is green and that you don’t hear any beeping sound from the support leg foot.
• Do not attempt to disassemble nor modify any part of AXKID MODUKID BASE. The warranty and and the safety performance of
the AXKID MODUKID BASE could be aected if doing so.
• Read the vehicle manual to find which seating positions are suitable for this base and compatible car seats.
• Axkid recommends to always use a seat protection to protect your vehicle seat from scratches and dirt.
• If in any doubts, contact the retailer where the base and compatible car seat was purchased or contact inf[email protected].

Installing AXKID MODUKID BASE in the
vehicle
Attach and adjust the front brace (A) to its innermost position by pulling the front brace release knob (B) and pushing the front
brace into the AXKID MODUKID BASE. Fold out the support leg (M) until the support leg installation indicator (J) turns green.
When the support leg is unfolded the support leg installation buzzer (O) will start beeping. The beeping will stop after correct
installation is completed.
Pull the ISOFIX knob (I) and extend the ISOFIX arm (F) to a suitable position (i-iv). Repeat step for both ISOFIX arms.
Attach the ISOFIX arms (F) to the vehicle ISOFIX connection points in the correct vehicle seat position (see Allowed and
disallowed positioning of the AXKID MODUKID BASE, p14). Make sure that the ISOFIX installation indicator (G) shows green.
Extend the front brace (A) towards the vehicle seat by pulling the front brace release knob (B) and pushing the front brace (A)
towards the vehicle seat, and then release the front brace release knob (B). Make sure to apply as much pressure as possible
and that the front brace release knob (B) clicks into position.
Pull the support leg knob (K) and pull the lower part of the support leg (M) downwards until the support leg foot (N) is in
contact with the vehicle floor. Let go of the support leg knob (K) and lift the AXKID MODUKID BASE upwards to further
extend the support leg (M) until you hear a click. The support leg (M) should now be locked and firmly pressed against the
vehicle floor and the sound from the support leg installation buzzer (O) have stopped.
To install AXKID MODUKID INFANT 2 or AXKID ENVIROKID on the AXKID MODUKID BASE, pull the seat release handle (E)
to its extended position (see F6). Place the car seat in position on top of the AXKID MODUKID BASE and push the car seat
down into the MODUKID BASE until the seat release handle (E) clicks into locked position and the seat attachment indicator
(D) shows green.

The AXKID MODUKID BASE can only be installed rear-facing using ISOFIX. It is approved for use in all i-Size approved seating positions
but may also fit in other non i-Size approved ISOFIX seating positions. Check your vehicle instruction manual to find suitable seating
positions and check the vehicle list on www.axkid.com.
Allowed and disallowed positioning of the
AXKID MODUKID BASE
* The General Regulation of Trac in Spain, in its article 117, establishes the prohibition of driving with children of stature
equal to or less than 135 centimetres located in the front seats of the vehicle, without exceptions.
Front passenger seat with ISOFIX (no active airbag) YES/NO*
Front passenger seat with ISOFIX (active airbag) NO
Rear passenger seat with ISOFIX YES
Side and rear facing seats with ISOFIX NO
Seats without ISOFIX NO
Never install a child restraint in a passenger seat
where an active airbag is fitted.
IMPORTANT: If you wish to install your Axkid car seat in a location where a frontal airbag is fitted, the airbag must be disconnected
according to your vehicle manufacturer instruction. Note that some vehicles require an authorized service center to disconnect the
airbag.

base
Installing AXKID ENVIROKID on the base
Pull the seat release handle (E) until it locks into its extended position (see F6). Place the car seat in position on top of the AXKID
MODUKID BASE and push the car seat down into the AXKID MODUKID BASE until the seat release handle (E) clicks into
locked position and the set atachment indicator shows green. The bease attachment hooks (C) should now have attached to
the car seat in both front and rear.
Ensure that the AXKID MODUKID INFANT 2 is not in contact with any adjacent vehicle seat and that the support leg is firmly
clamped to the floor and that the support leg installation buzzer (O) has stopped buzzing. Also make sure that the handle is in
position A1 (see AXKID MODUKID INFANT 2 manual for further instructions)
IMPORTANT:
See your AXKID MODUKID INFANT 2 manual for full instructions on how to install the product and how to buckle your child in the seat.

MODUKID BASE and push the car seat down into the AXKID MODUKID BASE until the seat release handle (E) clicks into
locked position and the seat attachment indicator (D) shows green. The base attachment hooks (C) should now have attached
to the car seat in both front and rear.
Ensure that the AXKID ENVIROKID is not in contact with any adjacent vehicle seat and that the support leg is firmly clamped to
the floor and that the support leg installation buzzer (O) has stopped buzzing.

The Axkid module system
The Axkid Module system consists of:
• AXKID MODUKID BASE – Base for easy installation in vehicles with ISOFIX connection points.
• AXKID MODUKID INFANT 2 – Infant car seat for children between 40-75cm and up to 13kg.
• AXKID ENVIROKID – Rear-facing car seat for children between 61-105cm and up to 18kg.
WARNING: Only install the AXKID MODUKID INFANT 2 or the AXKID ENVIROKID on the AXKID MODUKID BASE. Trying to use other
products on AXKID MODUKID BASE can result in serious injury in the event of a collision.

Removing car seat from AXKID MODUKID BASE
To release the car seat from AXKID MODUKID BASE, pull the seat release handle (E) and lift the car seat straight up at the same
time.

AXKID MODUKID BASE adjustments
The AXKID MODUKID BASE can be adjusted to provide more leg space for the child or to provide more space for the driver or passenger
seat in your vehicle. This is done by adjusting the length of the ISOFIX arms and the front brace.
The ISOFIX arms (F) can be adjusted to dierent lengths to accommodate dierent seating positions. There are 4 positions, i-iv.
The ISOFIX arms (F) are adjusted by pulling the ISOFIX knob (I) and simultaneously pushing or pulling on the ISOFIX arms (F).
The front brace can be adjusted to dierent positions to accommodate dierent seating positions with more or less leg room
for the child. The front brace (A) is not installed on the base at delivery and must be inserted into AXKID MODUKID BASE. Pull
the front brace release knob (B)and slide the front brace (A) into its slot. Make surethat the frontbrace release knob (B) clicks into
position after adjusting the front brace. WARNING: The front brace is an important safety feature and must always be used when
installing AXKID MODUKID BASE in a vehicle.
If no sound is emitted from the support leg installation buzzer (O) when the support leg is folded out, check the battery. The battery
is checked by unscrewing the two screws under the support leg foot (N) and removing the cover. The battery is then accessible.
Note that you can only replace the battery with a CR1632 size battery.
The support leg (M) can be folded into a parking position by pulling downwards on the support leg and fold it underneath AXKID
MODUKID BASE and push it into the parking position. The parking position allows for easier handling and storage of AXKID
MODUKID BASE and also stops the support leg installation buzzer (O) from beeping when the AXKID MODUKID BASE is not
in use. The parking position of the support leg should only be used outside of the vehicle. The support leg is an important safety
feature and must always be used when installing enviro base in a vehicle.
Removing AXKID MODUKID BASE from
your vehicle
Release tension on the support leg (M) by pulling the support leg knob (K) and retract the support leg to its shortest position.
Release tension on the front brace (A) by pulling the front brace release knob (B) and adjust the front brace to its shortest position
by pushing the front brace into the AXKID MODUKID BASE.
Press in and slide backwards on the ISOFIX release buttons (H) to release the AXKID MODUKID BASE from the vehicle. Repeat
this step on both sides. The AXKID MODUKID BASE should now be released and free to remove from the vehicle.
The support leg (M) can be folded away into it’s parking position (L) when AXKID MODUKID BASE is outside of the vehicle for
easy handling and storage (see F4). WARNING: Never use AXKID MODUKID BASE in the vehicle with the support leg in the
parking position. The supprt leg is an important safety feature and must always be used in the vehicle.

Careandmaintenance
Warranty
The AXKID MODUKID BASE is covered by a 24-month warranty from date of purchase. Ensure you save your receipt and bring it
to your place of purchase if you have any warranty issues.

The warranty does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage due to incorrect use, neglect or accident
• If repairs have been carried out by a third party
• All materials used have a very high UV-resistance rating. However, UV-light is very aggressive and will ultimately lead to
fading of the seat cover. This is not covered by our warranty as it is considered normal wear and tear.
Recyclingyour base
Axkid strongly recommends recyclingof oldcar seats.Beforeleavingthe base at your localrecycling stationseparate metal
and plastic parts ifpossible. Themain partofthe base shouldbe marked unsafe or expired (use amarker)to deteranyonefrom
usingit again.Please checkyourlocalmunicipal guidelinesforrecycling instructionsforthe dierentmaterials.
• The front brace cover can be removed and washed in a washing machine at 30º C on the “Gentle Cycle” program. Do not put
the cover in a dryer as this can damage the cover and the padding may separate from the fabric.
• Any plastic parts of AXKID MODUKID BASE can be cleaned with mild detergent and water. Do not use aggressive chemicals
containing solvents etc, as this can cause damage to the plastic and compromise the safety of the child car seat.
• All materials used in the AXKID MODUKID BASE are recyclable and should be recycled as per your local legislation. Ask your
local recycling center for advice when recycling this product.
• Do not make any modifications or alterations to the AXKID MODUKID BASE car seat other than those described in this
instruction manual. Follow the instructions in this manual carefully. Any repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer or
agent.
• If the seat cover needs replacing, ensure only original products from Axkid are used. If other products are used, the AXKID
MODUKID BASE’s safety system may be compromised and could lead to severe injury in case of an accident.

verwendet werden.
Dies ist ein i-Size-Modularsystem für Kindersicherheit. Es ist nach der UN-Regelung Nr. 129 für die Verwendung in i-Size-
kompatiblen Fahrzeugsitzen zugelassen, die vom Fahrzeughersteller in der Bedienungsanleitung des Fahrzeuges
angegeben werden. Wenden Sie sich im Zweifelsfall bitte entweder an den Hersteller des Modularsystems (www.axkid.
com) oder an Ihren Händler.
Wichtige Informationen
Um die Sicherheit Ihres Kindes zu gewährleisten, sollten Sie folgende Punkte beachten.
• Befolgen Sie stets die Anweisungen in dieser Bedienungsanleitung. Ein falscher Einbau kann die Sicherheit Ihres Kindes
ernsthaft beeinträchtigen. Falls Sie unsicher sind, suchen Sie sich Hilfe von einem Fachhändler, der Ihnen den korrekten Einbau
demonstrieren kann.
• Bewahren Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung zum späteren Nachschlagen auf. Sollten Sie diese Anleitung verloren haben, können

• Verwenden Sie AXKID MODUKID BASE niemals auf einem Fahrzeugsitz mit aktiviertem Frontalairbag. Wenn Sie das
Modularsystem dennoch an dieser Stelle installieren möchten, muss der Airbag gemäß den Anweisungen des Fahrzeugherstellers
deaktiviert werden.
• Im Falle eines Unfalls, und sei er noch so klein, sollte Ihr Kindersitz immer ersetzt werden. Er kann Schäden aufweisen, die nicht
sichtbar sind und die Sicherheit Ihres Kindes gefährden. Aus diesem Grund rät Axkid vom Kauf eines gebrauchten Kindersitzes ab.
• Wenn der AXKID ENVIROKID direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt war, vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Kindersitz nicht zu
heiß ist, bevor Sie Ihr Kind hineinsetzen.
• Lassen Sie Ihr Kind niemals unbeaufsichtigt im Fahrzeug zurück.
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Gepäckstücke und lose Gegenstände in Ihrem Fahrzeug gesichert sind. Diese können bei einem
Unfall zu Verletzungen der Insassen führen.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass AXKID MODUKID BASE so eingebaut wird, dass keine Teile des Modularsystems eingeklemmt werden,
zum Beispiel durch Autotüren etc.
• AXKID MODUKID BASE darf nur entgegen der Fahrtrichtung eingebaut werden.
• Dieser Kindersitz darf NUR zusammen mit der AXKID MODUKID BASE installiert werden.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass der Rücken Ihres Kindes gegen den Kindersitz gedrückt wird, wenn Sie Ihr Kind mit dem Gurt anschnallen.
• Vergewissern Sie sich immer, dass der Gurt fest an Ihrem Kind anliegt und dass das Gurtschloss vollständig geschlossen ist.
• Überprüfen Sie, dass der Gurt nicht verdreht ist.
• Stellen Sie immer sicher, dass der Stützfuß in der richtigen Position ist und Kontakt mit dem Fahrzeugboden hat. Vergewissern Sie sich
außerdem, dass die Anzeige oben auf dem Stützfuß grün leuchtet und dass Sie keinen Piepton vom Stützfuß hören.
• Versuchen Sie nicht, AXKID MODUKID BASE auseinanderzubauen oder zu modifizieren. Die Gewähr- und Sicherheitsleistung
des AXKID ENVIROKID könnten dadurch beeinträchtigt werden.
• Benutzen Sie AXKID MODUKID BASE niemals ohne den Sitztextilbezug. Der Bezug ist ein Sicherheitsmerkmal und darf nur durch
einen Original-Sitztextilbezug ersetzt werden.
• Lesen Sie im Handbuch Ihres Fahrzeugs nach, welche Sitzpositionen für AXKID MODUKID BASE und AXKID ENVIROKID
geeignet sind.
• Axkid empfiehlt, immer einen Sitzschutz zu verwenden, um Ihren Fahrzeugsitz von Kratzern und Schmutz zu schützen.
